What's next, liking posts, haha?

Haha that actually sounds pretty cool, some sort of post reward system. 100 likes equals a face booster anyone?!

that would be pretty cool man,I wonder if Kai-V would approve this Eee
A popularity face? That would just lead to attention grabbing and attempts to be funny as oppose to trying to make good posts. The WBO is an organisation focused on the discussion of beyblade, not a social media site focused on getting the most "likes."

At least, that's how I see it.
I guess, when I was thinking about it I was thinking more about quality related posts. I guess the ony that is could work then if there was a limit on how many likes you could give.
When I posted about "liking" posts, I was being sarcastic, haha.
Dude, you would have to admit, it'd be cool if we could get a genuine, fair and functioning system for it haha

Even if you were kidding, liking posts is actually possible on certain types of forums. It's not really necessary, but it would certainly be cool if the WBO was able to utilize that feature.
Hey guys, was this site down or was my Internet clogged? I couldn't load the page from approximately 3 to 9 PM.
Yup, there was something wrong with it for awhile.
The "Like" function was brought up some time ago. While personally, I do agree that it would be a cool function to have, it was decided not to add it. The reason was that as a community, we want to promote discussions. Like function would just make members more lazy and use it heavily, instead of actually making posts to discuss.
If there was no reward or benefit to the poster; I don't see why it shouldn't be implemented.
It's just a sign of "I agree with your post" or, "That's Funny!".
As long as we don't do those stupid "Reputation Points" like other forums.

Could reduce the number of short, redundant posts though, because instead of saying "I agree" or "lol," one could just like what the user said.
Wouldn't really discourage constructive posts, just non-constructive ones.

As you could see from our Facebook Page, it was indeed down due to our host, but only for slightly more than two hours, not six.

What's the point? So kids see the WBO if they randomly search "beyblademetalfury.com"?
www.beywiki.com is one of them. That's how I found this site lol.

Exactly. We do get hits on them, believe it or not.

That was the original URL of the site when it opened in 2007.

I personally do really like the idea of this, it attracts the targeted audience; Hell, wouldn't you all most likely expect children of my age group to search up beyblademetalfury.com more than worldbeyblade.org? What other site names are there in addition to that one, though? Once again, this is quite the method of gathering the target audience!

Good tactics, committee. Smile
Does the WBO have to pay extra fees to keep those alternate links up ?

Yes, but not that much per year.

Ah, assumed that was the case.
Interesting to note, that.
It seems as if the globalization of the site has gone down in recent years. Is it just me, or are most of the users now from the US and Canada? We used to have a ton of Australians and Britt's, but I guess those days are gone (At least until the next revival)

Indeed. Besides the timezone and the inevitable decrease in activity at our night, I think all the advertisement we do targets anybody who speaks English though, so it really does seem like a matter of people not organising events to nourrish the interest before it completely flattens.
