but I'm loving the specs and the features on it. Specifically that 8GB GDDR5 memory and those graphics! I can only imagine the wonders that can happen. I mean, the graphics on the PS3 right now are great as is, how much better can it get...?

Anyways, what I saw was perfect. The PS4 has INSANE specs for a simple game system, 8 GB of RAM altogether? That's pretty good, especially when compared to the PS3's small amount of 256 MB in the CPU and another 256 in the GPU. The rest of the specs are just icing on the cake.
It's a super console at this point in time, the Wii U (the only released console of the next gen) can't compare (especially the measly 2 GB of RAM), and we can't say anything about the next Xbox, since there haven't been many reveals yet (though, it's said that the Xbox may have 8 GB of RAM as well). In power, I'm liking the PS4 after reading what's being leaked about the 720. Saying it's just a PS3 with more extensive social networking (including the coveted Party Chat from what I understood, might be mistaken) and double price tag is ridiculous. The PS3 cost around 500 at minimum at release for small 20 GB console, a similar price tag for the new PlayStation 4 wouldn't surprise me.
If you haven't noticed, I'm more hyped about the amount of RAM than anything else, haha.
As for the graphics, they look stellar. A lot of the games I play on the PS3 now look terrible (basically CoD) because it's practically an Xbox game ported to the PS3, but other games have wonderful graphics even at this time. The detail is oustanding, especially on the cars in the DriveClub game.
Not only that, but the games shown all look fantastic. I'm really looking forward to Killzone and Destiny, and maybe DriveClub, but mainly Destiny. Bungie is one of the best developers, easily, and now that they're developing games for other systems (especially not a game in the drawn out Halo series, haha), I really cannot wait.
I think I'm gonna stay loyal to the PlayStation Nation, honestly.

That's the one problem. Sony just announced all that, and Microsoft can now think "Hey, why don't we add that to our new OS?". The reality will be that the new Xbox will be capable of what the PS4 can do, and potentially to a higher extent.
I do love how Sony refrained from showing off the design of the console, and whether their patent for the "Used Games Cannot Run" thing will be implimented, which is a horrible idea in the first place (What if you want to take a game to a friend's house? You have to take your console?).

Your first point is something that I'm afraid of, actually. If they do step it up compared to the PS4, then my loyalty will be challenged, haha. The dev kits show similar specs already though, like the 8 GB of RAM.
If they do the Used Games thing, I honestly won't care, because I'm not a big fan of buying used games, depending on game's age, of course. For a brand new console, I'm not gonna worry about it, but as the console ages, then it'd get really annoying. If I'm buying a brand new game, I expect the price to drop a few months after release, like how Steam works. Which reminds me, the Steam Box...
Though, the idea could totally destroy GameStop's profit, which would suck, I'm not a fan of driving companies out of business :c
Nobody has expressed concerns over this whole "Games will be downloaded to your console if we think you should try them as you've played similar games" thing. For one, it's a waste of storage space. Also, it's a perfect opportunity for hackers; the games will be downloaded in full already, so they just need to crack them. In a way, I hope Sony is bluffing about that, else havoc is going to let loose.
I'm disappointed they didn't showcase Gran Turismo 6 or LittleBigPlanet 3. I did enjoy the overview of Destiny though; that's a must buy for me.

Well the lofty wait time is indication that many of these, while convenient, ambitious features will be smoothed out.
Sony had a few underlying issues with the Vita's announcement.
I am so going to get one, also i like how they have incorporated the share button and that feature will turn into something i can't live without!.
