Yes, this is a real game. Project X Zone is a massive crossover strategy game between Capcom, Namco Bandai and Sega. That means three major, awesome companies teaming up to make an awesome game! I'm unsure as to wether how exactly they'll explain the reunion of all the characters (or if the game has a story at all, actually) but check out this awesome roster: Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine from Resident Evil, Dante from Devil May Cry (The ORIGINAL Dante) Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, Megaman X and Zero from Megaman (Duh), Yuri and Estelle from Tales of Vesperia, Jin and Ling from Tekken, KOS-MOS and T-Elos from Xenosaga, Soma and Alisa from God Eater and, by far my favourite, Kite and Black Rose from the .hack franchise!!

There's a lot more characters to play, but there are also non-playable villain characters from similar franchises like Vile from Megaman X, Nemesis T-Type from Resident Evil, Selvaria from Valkyria Chronicles III, Vajra from God Eater, Seth from Street Fighter, Astaroth and Shielder from Ghost 'n Goblin (Odd, but okay) and, once again my favourite, Skeith from .hack! Like I said, I'm just naming a few, there's a TON of characters from all three franchises, in this game, it's crazy. I'm not too fond of strategic RPGs, but this is totally a must-play, for me.

And you know what the best part is? It's coming to the West. This summer, in fact. Thou shall be mine, insane crossover game!!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_X_Zone#Characters Here's the full roster, and considerably more information about the game... it's been out in Japan for some time now, so everything about it is pretty much known.

I'm looking forward to it all the same, but really only for the Megaman involvement... a bit for the .hack// too, I guess. Seems like they couldn't get Sonic Team to shake loose rights for their characters, or maybe they just didn't want them(for some... really idiotic reason), but either way.
I wondered the same thing too, but, when you think about it, Sonic would feel a bit awkward in this game. Pretty much all the characters at least look human, even if that's not always the case, but suddenly you'd have a half-human-sized blue edgehog with no pants but wearing gloves and shoes? It's just kinda... weird.

But it is odd if you consider the easy Star Power Sonic can inspire in the gamer mass.
