Since you will get a warning if you post this in the "What book are you currently reading" thread i thought that i should make this so people can inform other people and discuss manga. (i have a strange feeling that there is already one of these)

But anyways i have been reading alot of MAR,Naruto, and Shaman King i think all of these are pretty good. I am in the middle of the chunin exam in Naruto. I am nearing the finish of MAR. I am about half way through the Shaman king series.

Does anyone even know what MAR is? If you haven't read it i suggest trying it. I also suggest Anima+
Graphic Novels count as manga... right.?
Joyful_2 cos i read alot of Inuyasha, Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, One Piece Graphic Novels when Im at my local library... Eee
my first manga was inuyasha i think that it's okay but it's no Bleach. I get kind of board with yugioh except for the original series that wasn't about the card game. Naruto is great. I just started reading one piece and i enjoy it but my all time favorite would be MAR.
I know what MAR is; I have the first volume but I never persisted with it, and I also watched the first episode.

I really liked it, to be honest and I hope to get back into it soon.
Naruto
Bleach
Air Gear
Zatch Bell
New Prince of Tennis
I bought a while ago, and haven't go to reading yet:
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Gurren Laggan

MAR is the most generic manga and anime series I've seen since Blue Dragon, oh snap.
most mainstream manga.

two favorites, Highschool of the dead and Askelpios
Also another medical manga, name eludes me atm.
Liar Game.

Or at least, I would if the group would actually release new chapters.
They used to go at a really good pace, then apparently they got in a fight with another translation group (who started translating chapters) because they say since they got there first, the other group should back off.

Uncertain At least with 2 groups, chapters actually came out...
Axis Power Hetalia

I wouldn't recommend it, it has one of the worst fandoms I've ever seen. The comics are just crack, but I find them amusing. I'm actually hoping this gets an official english release, but it looks doubtful. It's hard to understand what's going in the strips when there is little to no sense of canon.
Naruto, Bleach, Nora,

Nora is amazing!
alot of these that you have listed i have never heard of them. Most of the stuff that i read is stuff i can get at the library or borrow from my friends so i guess that i am mostly mainstream
Digimon: Next
Hokuto no Ken
Kinnikuman
im catching up with berserk
re reading akira too
finnished hellsing the other day
waiting for naruto 461
Soul Eater
Pandora Hearts
Shaman King
Nora: the Last Chronicle of Devildom
Pokemon Special
Tsubasa Chronicles, Barajou no Kiss and Vampire Knight.

Tsubasa: The Storyline has gotten into a huge twist. It doesn't make that much sense to me anymore. But I still get the main plot. I think it is ending soon. Artwork seems a big messy but overall good.

Barajou no Kiss: I love this manga; I love its plot but sometimes it seems a bit too quick. It is one of those series where I hope it doesn't just have about 20 chapters then finishes. I wanna know the Secret of the Rhonde Knights. KaedexAnise 4eva... Love the artwork

Vampire Knight: I love the artwork. So detailed in manner. Giant Climax is heading this way. Zero and Yuuki meet again.. in a masked ball. (this sounds so familiar)
I actually haven't read a new manga in a whole long while because it all just seems like effort. I do intend to pick up Hetalia again at some point though because god knows I forgotton almost everything about each character.

My friend bought the first volume of tsubasa and that's how i started reading it but i agree with you the artwork is kind of messy and the story gets pretty weird and confusing

...there are things to remember about those characters? I've noticed most of them have no personality trait and roll with it. I think if you watch one episode, read a couple strips you'll be fully caught up. Hetalia isn't what you'd call a developed franchise XD;;
I'm trying to catch up with bleach and Naruto and I just started on Air gear because I loved the anime.
Decided to read Hajime no Ippo from where the anime left off after putting it off because it's 800 chapters long (HOLY carp). The anime left off at 399...yea...got a ways to go.
