I've had missed a lot of important gaps regarding this in its early stages


Re-Introducing the Micro Disk System as the NanoGene System

What in the heck is a 'NanoGene'?
  • Smallest Beyblade system to date
  • All Metal, Five Layer Design
  • Inspired by the compact, metal Beigoma
  • Engine launchers with pivoting grips diversify your game

Essentially, I've had problems with making such a small top system with any part being plastic at all. I needed to use an all-metal design for any such metagame to exist within the tops themselves.

Breakdown of Parts


(All parts are constructed of a clean, heavy steel)

#1. Glyph Lock - Spirit Motif, Main Point of Construction
#2. Nano Gear - Attack Part, comes in three classes
>Power, Unique patterns on a predominantly round surface
>Clash, recoil focused, simpler shapes (Septagon, Octagon, Nonagon, etc...)
>Target, completely round circles of varying density
#3. Armor - the 'base' and weight of NanoGene System Beyblades
#4. Cylinder - Height Track
#5. Nano Tip

Bearing-Lock System

Instead of bolts and screws, the NanoGene System uses tiny ball bearings in suspension for secure, tight assembly with little rattle.


~*~Assembly Process~*~

-1- Attach Glyph Lock with tabs aligned, onto the magnetic holding tool
-2- Lip side down, attach Nano Gear with its four bearings aligned
-3- Slide Armor over the Glyph Lock's stem, grooves below Nano Gear and on top Armor aligned
-4- Finally insert Cylinder with the selected tip into Glyph Lock's center shaft

Yes I know, this is all pretty tech-hearty stuff. This is supposed to be a touch more mature than the past series... Hopefully it turns out that way.

Update: Actually, one major design update was to make the weight core and "armor" one piece. I'm stupid.
This actually sounds quite neat! Could we expect a diagram showing the parts sometime?

Edit: Is there a naming system for parts?
The naming system is far simpler, using only one Abbreviation for assigned to the NanoGear.

For instance:

Power: Cognitive Xenoceros
Clash: 7S (Seven Side) Xenoceros
Target: WBBA

Yeah, some naming has altered so Macroshell is now "Kingshell", more widely appealing. :3

Glyph Lock: Kingshell
This Glyph Lock depicts a King Crab.

Nano Gear (Clash Type): Kingshell 8S
An 8-sided Nano Gear with embedded designs of crab claws.

Armor: Height Changer
An Armor with two parts, working together as a lock, similar to the MFB Track CH120.
Note: This armor can be used with other cylinders, but the height-change feature will not work.

Cylinder: [unknownheight]/[unknownheight]
This Cylinder has two pairs of notches on it that lets it work with the locking function of the Height Changer Armor. It can change between two heights with that Armor
Note: This is the only cylinder that can be used with the Height Changer Armor, still having the Armor's gimmick. Height Changer is the only Armor that may be used with this Cylinder.

Nano Tip: Semi-Flat
A tip that resembles a Flat Tip with rounded edges. It has a calmer and slower movement pattern compared to a Flat Nano Tip.

Glyph Lock: HellBalancer
This Glyph Lock depicts Libra, the Scales.

Nano Gear (Target Type): HellBalancer
A mostly round Nano Gear with the design of Scales, similar to MFB's Libra Clear Wheel.

Armor: Wide Funnel
A mostly basic Armor with almost no designs on it. It is a bit wider in shape compared to most Armor, helping give the Beyblade outer weight distribution.

Cylinder: Rotator [unknown height]
The top of this Cylinder, like usual, attaches into the Glyph Lock. Everything going down from the part that attaches to the Glyph Lock spins freely, a gimmick similar to the F230 Track.

Nano Tip: Sharp
A spike-shaped tip.
Actually the basic polygons are what make the "Clash" type gears. But that isn't bad.

[Major Update on Nanogear class design traits]

Power

Circular shape, with textured patterns creating their own unique effects in combating against opponents. Some are based on repeating shape textures, granular textures, even symbol and text based on a completely circular diameter.

Clash

Entirely simple, to the point flat shapes. The common secondary designs. While they do have smash, they are entirely luck based competitive parts which don't fight exactly like the Power types. Clash Nanogears are used on lesser Beyblades in the series; Beyblade Microcosm.

WBBA

Completely blank weight designs with smooth diameter, these are meant for the Suicide Challenger Knockout tops and come in various densities.
I'd hate to double post but this is important for anyone wanting to know what the main focus for certain parts is.

Cylinder: Height and Height only

It is available, and will only be available in three different heights. Because the NanoGene system is so compact,
the height is very simple.

HIGH, MEDIUM, and LOW

Nano Tip; Density, Shape, and Textures

No rubber, or plastics will be used. Different metals may be used but the other important differences are in shape and texture.

Example: Matte Sharp is the typical inert, dense steel but with a satin like coating
Man, this just seems that good... Seriously. Hyperbole apart, this could be official =p

Couldn't resist to ask, is this system workable with something similar with the Accessories used on the plastic saga? I could see some interesting ideas, but that would meddle with piece diameter.

... That Ginga.
I'm not planning on making anything cross compatible, but the ambitious design (Size of traditional beigomas, even closer to shape) should provide fun, casual, absolutely illegal activities (as in Tournament standards...)

I should also mention for update that Armor comes in a variety of classes, currently very early in development, bearing free-spin armor.... Essentially; "eternal gimmick"...

Ehh... Well, I wasn't really speaking of cross-compatibility, but rather a proper gimmick system for the NanoGene... But, hey, those Eternal Armor series make promise. (I wonder, these things are, like, a inch long?)

Sorry if I get overreact a bit, it's the first time I see a custom system taken seriously. That, and I'm trying to gather some ideas for Z-G Kerbalt... (I'm trying to do something TT-alike. HARD.)

Sorry for the lack of news the past week - parents are not being decent with one another.

I should note to those unaware of this concepts earlier stages, it's focused entirely around a philosophy of which, a metagame with far more compact focus that appeals to all types of players.
I should add that there IS work being done here but it's being well seasoned before I give a legitimate update. I'm trying to experiment with a tilting medium for tops of this size to have decent travel.

The Coin Rock Attack Stadium is the continuation of Zero-G's swaying gimmick to increase travel and performance between these incredibly small fighters

Nanogene Tops are small and often quick at launch, requiring a moving surface. You can also customize the weight distribution for types switching.

Just leaving the question, you've ever considered making this real at some point?
Cuz this seems pretty workable =p

It is but the metagame is gonna be very.... Precise. Since we're working with tops that are literally the size of those ancient steel tops. Also being the first all metal system, I dunno how stainless steel would fare if they could keep it from sparking..... But it needs stuff that's as heavy duty as Home Depot bolts for that size.

I'm going to do the Glyph Lock designs in pixel, wish me luck Tongue_out

Ah, well, I've thinking about some weird ideas. It's made of metal, but why not cover it with plastic? Like the opposite of the HMS... But yeah, I'm aware it's quite impractical...

I was thinking of implementing a secondary game/arena that uses fixed launchers. Similar to Crossfire (old faceoff style mechanical game)

This is a neat idea indeed and will consider it, I'm gonna add DragX as the name though to fit stylistic pattern.
