~I dont know if this is in the right topic (i think it is)... I dunno how popular this thread will or might be. but its worth a shot~

I have 3 Emulators. that work extremely well and roms for each of them.
NO$GBA (Nintendo DS), Visualboy Advance(GBA) & Project 64(Nintendo 64)
I cant remember what site these came from to be downloaded as i got them from my school mate "Jake Kop" - hes helps me alot, so i'll ask him if you want to download it - if you haven't already done so.

DS ROMS: (That I Still Have, and play often)
- Pokemon Pearl

Wi-Fi doesn't work for DS games unfortunly.

Wow. this got kinda long. anyway ask me if you want any or information on where to get other games etc, etc.

i believe so, normally you have to pay to get a ds and a ds game, but you are doing those stuff without paying.
am not saying i dont do those things, but the site dont allow talking about illegal stuff.

Its downloaded off websites which are pretty popular, plus i was curious if anybody else had the emulators and played the games out of curiousity etc. i have no idea if downloading Console roms and emulators is illegal. but if it is. Beybrad can close this thread if he wants. or any other admin.

I've got Project 64 running on my computer for the Old School Wrestling games, which I've got all of them on my 64, but with Project 64 you can actually go into the ROM and edit textures which can bring new life into the game, there's Mods so you can alter the gameplay ect...

Yeah i've got it on my usb. but i dont have any wrestling games. but i have eddited textures in it.

... does anybody actually know if Emulators and Roms are Illegal.?

Yeah they're illegal. You're playing a game without paying for it, it's stealing. Some sites will say that it's okay as long as you've bought the game beforehand (say you bought Pokemon Silver but the internal battery ran down, they'd say that meant it was okay to download it) but that's not true either, that's just their way of trying to feel better about it. That said, downloading games is common practice amongst a large number of people, as is downloading music. :\

I know we have talked about it before so I don't really think this should be closed. Though normally it's in certain context, rather than having a whole thread for it. ^^; In any case, I'll leave it for now.

Oh carp. I really didn't think it was Illegal i mean i only play the games when im bored at school - I play them during free time all that.. its because i cant afford any games usually until November/December. so i just downloaded it or my friend Jake gave them to me. like pokemon platinum i couldnt buy it when it came out so i got the DS emulator an got the rom. if i had the money i would buy all those games. also i have a N64 at my house.. got Pokemon Stadium but for second hand.. Super Smash bros is about $50.

I probably cant afford to get a MFB until 2010 anyway. Gee i hate being poor. I wish i won the lotto or something. lol

Also this thread was made just because i was wondering if anybody ever used an Emulator before.
Not to mention it cures my "school room boredem" Haha err.

Yeah, not to rail on you but this goes against site policy. I got nothing against you for using them (guilty myself at times), but to maintain a professional image we try to avert discussion from very iffy topics such as this one. (Hence why Political discussion is banned).

So yeah, I'm going to have to lock this.
