It's time to begin the third Project of the Moment for Beywiki.

Since we had a relatively difficult Project last time, this time we're going for something more relax: we have to measure as many Beyblade parts as possible until November 15th! Since we're currently Hallowe'en, the title also seemed appropriate...

Like all good scientists, we ask that all of a part's measurements get confirmed by at least one other Member. For instance, if Member 2 measures that WD145 is 4.5 centimetres-long, Member 17 who also owns WD145 should measure their WD145 and post their own data here. If we have twice or thrice the same number, then up! it goes straight on Beywiki without any problem.

This Project counts for all Beyblade generations.

Let's also establish a few standards to go by:

- Bottoms' height should always be measured with the whole piece's length, even if they almost all share the same geared base.

- For parts like Attack Rings and Metal Wheels, usually the only length that will need to be measured is the maximum one. However, if the part has another length and that this smaller side can still reasonably come into contact with another Beyblade, then that length should also be specified.

- Most parts will have all the following measurements: height, length, and possibly angle.

- Be as precise as possible. All measurements should go up to at least one decimal, preferably two, and they all need to be in miliimetres or centimetres, but no inches at all.

To add them onto Beywiki, for now we will follow the same format that can be seen in the Leone 145D article:
http://wiki.worldbeyblade.org/index.php/...eel:_Leone

However, make sure to post all the data here first, wait until someone confirms your measurements, and then we can add them onto Beywiki.

So now, arm yourself with that ruler and be crazy!
How about stadiums? Do we need that too, or are they already done?
Stadiums too definitely. The drafts from the last project need to be as complete as humanly possible before they go up.
Yay! Something I can participate in:

BWD:

Height: 9 mm
Length: 16 mm

WD Comparison:

Height: 8 mm
Length: 16 mm

M145:

Height: 14.5 mm
Length: 26 mm

Yes, stadium measurements are extremely important, but usually the person who will have written the draft owns the stadium in question and will easily be able to measure it before the draft is added. However, there are dozens of articles on Beyblades on Beywiki and most have no measurements!
Agreed Ginga, yay, I can participate!!!
Anyway, Kai-V, for Duo (or any other 4D metal wheel), should I take photos of the individual Metal Frame and Core? Also, in Attack mode, should I do the widest diameter and shortest diameter (specifically for Duo)?
Yay! First contrib.!

Q:

Max Height: 9 mm
Length: 16 mm

RDF:
Max Height: 10.5 mm
Length: 16 mm

ES:
Height: 11 mm
Length: 16 mm

CF:
Height: 9 mm
Length: 34 mm

AD145:
Height: 14.5
Length: 28 mm
First contribution as well! Guess what...? DUO! (still obsessed with it)

Duo Measurements
Height (same both modes): 0.9 cm / 9 mm
Stamina Mode Width: 4.5 cm
Attack Mode Maximum Width: 4.6 cm
Attack Mode Minimum Width: 4.5 cm
Core Width: 4.5 cm
Core Height: 0.9 cm / 9 mm
Frame Outside Width: 4.5 cm
Frame Inside Width (same width with, and without notches): 3.4 cm
Frame Height: 0.6 cm / 6 mm

I'll do more Wheel measurements later.
Have some more measurements. I just love projects of the moments, heh. As you can see, I was VERY accurate.

Earth Measurements
Maximum Width: 4.5 cm
Minimum Width: 4.2 cm
Maximum Height: 0.95 cm / 9.5 mm
Minimum Height (measured at the shortest notch): 0.4 cm / 4 mm
Maximum Notch Distance: 0.2 cm / 2 mm
Minimum Notch Distance: 0.25 cm / 2.5 mm

Yeah, Earth had a lot of bumps and ridges on its top, so that's why there were different heights and distances. The four notches were different too. It's the 2nd mold, and Earth had a slope on its walls, so there were different widths as well. And now on to Poison!

Poison Measurements
Width: 4.5 cm
Height: 0.95 cm / 9.5 mm
Blade Width: 0.7 cm / 7 mm

Not much here. The blade widths were measured across, and the height was the tallest point; the height of one blade. I'll do some more later.
More measurements guys!!! Wow, I'm obsessed.

Killer/Evil Measurements
Width: 4.5 cm
Height (including overhang): 0.8 cm / 8 mm
Notch Distance: 0.5 cm / 5 mm

Heh, lots of Wheels have 4.5 as their diameter.

Hyper Measurements
Minimum Width: 4.3 cm
Maximum Width: 4.4 cm
Notch Distance: 0.5 cm / 5 mm
Maximum Height: 0.9 cm / 9 mm
Minimum Height: 0.4 cm / 4 mm

Yeah... Hyper had a slight slope on its walls. And it's very small... More wheels later!
More stuff!

Wing Measurements
Frame Blade Height: 0.8 cm / 8 mm
Frame Blade Width: 1.6 cm
Frame Outside Circle Width: 3.6 cm
Frame Inside Circle Width: 2.9 cm
Frame Circle Height: 0.4 cm / 4 mm
Core Maximum Height: 0.9 / 9 mm
Core Width: 4.85 cm / 48.5 mm

Yeah... Should I measure the widths when Wing is in different modes? Like how much the wing(s) are sticking out compared to Ironclad Attack Mode?
Ah, over the weekend I plan to measure every part I have.

You should really read my post in the Fact Dépôt topic ...
shouls parts like CEW, SP be measured to?
and if so...any idea to measure SP?hahah
I'll try to measure the parts I have by weekend.
BTW, while measuring the length of the bottoms, there are high chances of parallax errors. Any ideas on how to avoid them?

th!nk could come and confirm, but if all Blade Bases are about as wide at their base, then we could measure Support Parts by how much they protrude, as well as their height too ?

N0body, if I understand what you are referring to, it can be fixed with the fact that we ask for more than one person's measurements anyway. We will look for an average, or for the most common data.

Here are some of my data :

VariAres

EDITConfusedo..thats pretty much all of my 4 layer and 1-f series plastics..
will do the v and v2 series later.. Eee
So for tracks, I'm guessing we measure only to the part where the contact points show for minimum length, and the whole height of the track for the maximum?

The length is basically when you look at the Track from above. For instance, as you can see from my measurements, BD145 is much longer than its height. The height of a Track can usually be guessed just by its name : SA165 is 1.65 centimetres-high, for example.
I guess this is a good way to pass time when I don't have power.

I'll try measuring my HMS and 4Ds first, then move on to my other MFB blades. Hopefully next time I log in I'll have a list of measurements with me.
I have edited my above posts to change them to say Maximum and Minimum measurements. Here are some more.

GB145
Maximum Length: 3.6 cm
Minimum Length: 2.85 cm
Height: 1.45 cm

230
Length: 2.1 cm
Height: 2.30 cm

S130
Maximum Length (includes measuring small protrusions): 3.55 cm
Minimum Length (excludes small protrusions in measuring): 3.3 cm

X:D
Length: 3.6 cm
Maximum Height (Sharp mode): 2.1 cm
Minimum Height (Xtreme Flat mode): 1.9 cm

F:S (SonoKong Mold)
Length: 3.7 cm
Height: 1.95 cm

Takara Tomy Standard Face
Height: 1.3 cm

W.B.B.A. Metal Face Custom Ver.
Height: 1.35 cm

Maybe the faces matter? Someone should double check them and check if they are right, if that is okay. I'll do more later.
I can certainly contribute to this. But I'm guessing that damaged parts(I mean dents, deep scratches and the like) cannot count right? I will do some CWs and tracks probably.
Yes, while Kai-V didn't mention it, it is assumed that most parts subject to wearing (bottoms, MW's) are mint.
My Chrome App just crashed, so now I have to re type all of this... Moral of the Story: copy text frequently to avoid annoyingness from the iPad. Anyways, here it is...

LRF Measurements
Tip Length: 0.6 cm
Height: 1.05 cm

XF Measurements
Tip Length: 0.55 cm
Height: 0.8 cm

WF Measurements
Tip Length: 0.45 cm
Height: 0.85 cm

WD Measurements
Tip Length: 1.4 cm
Height: 0.85 cm

DF105 Measurements
Maximum Length: 3.75 cm
Minimum Length: 2.8 cm
Height: 1.05 cm

90 Measurements
Maximum Length: 2.1 cm
Height: 0.9 cm

85 Measurements
Maximum Length: 2.1 cm
Height: 0.85 cm

WD145 Measurements
Wing Length: 2.35 cm
Wing Gap Distance: 1.35 cm
Height: 1.45 cm
Length: 3.8 cm

F:D (Final Drive) Measurements
Length: 2.7 cm
Tip Length (RF): 0:45 cm
Tip Length (SF): 0.2 cm
Height: 1.9 cm

So, um, on the 85 and 90 tracks, the maximum height was measured to the hooks on the side. So... Yeah.
Is your WD mint? I got some of the same measurements, but I think yours are off.
Yeha, I have two of tthem, one I'm saving for the tournaments, so I've never used it. I'll re-measure them later in the day. Also, on non gimmicked tracks, does the Maximum Length extend all the way to the little squared hooks?
Also, Ginga, I think in the measurements you already did, you'd have to change them to cm instead of mm.
