Just looking to gauge the number of bladers in the OKC area. Would love to host a tournament sometime in the near future. Reply here or pm me.
I am in Tulsa!I have a tournament discussion up but so far no one has replied. I know another guy on here that lives in Oklahoma and have 5 blader friends. Considering that, we could have a tournament! Do you have a BB-10 by chance? I have a Zero-G stadium so if you don't, we could have a Zero-G tournament.
Are you willing to travel to OKC? I would like to make it as big as possible so it would be for a few months with getting the right amount of advertising out there. It would be great to make it an official wbo event but im far from an expert and honestly probably never will be. I do have the enthusiasm and know how to construct events and reading the guide books on wbo I believe i could set up an event and stay within all the rules. Im hoping i can make it interesting enough so to bring out all the local bladers out for a good day of fun.

I only have hasbro stadiums at the moment but im looking into getting big bang pegasus xd set. The majority of my sons collection is hasbro with just two takara beys. If there is enough interest i will get whatever is necessary to do it right and make it something everyone will enjoy and want to do again.
If there are a lot of people attending,I would go to Oklahoma City for sure. I am very knowledgeable on beyblade and would volunteer to be a judge. I will talk to my friends and see if they would want to go.
Do any of you live in the south west area of oklahoma?
I don't and navygiant lives in Oklahoma City. How long of a drive is it from where you live to OKC?
11 hours to Oklahoma city 9 hours to Elk City but this is still the closest to where I live
Well that's to bad. Do you know any bladers that are close to OKC?
nope, I only know ppl bladers in NM and NC
9 hours is quite a drive. I think if shinobuxd is willing to help organize or at least lend out some of his knowledge we can get some of the bladers who dont even know about this site. If we can make that happen it maybe worth the drive.

What would be needed to get poeple to come from a 3-5 hour radius? Certain prizes or is it as simple as publicizing the event in the major markets? Im not originally from OKC but I would guess spreading the word to the following cities OKC Tulsa Edmond and Dallas to make this a fun day. Still not set on a day but we can all brainstorm on that.

Somethings to think about

City: Oklahoma City
OKC is the most logical and where I can do the most.

Location: TBD shoot out some ideas. Prefer a game shop of sorts but not against reserving something

Advertising: Facebook, maybe we could make something like midwest beybladers. Hopefully WBO. Flyers in local anime hobby shops etc. I could gen something up and email to you guys for edit and posting in your area.

Prizes: I can fund this with in reason but i need some ideas.

Requirements: 2, 4, 6 stadiums? Styles?

Schedule of events: I will gen something up and we can add after that but i do want this to be more than just a tournament. Some rough ideas before the actual tournament would be prizes for longest timed staminia bey. Not battles but just have one staminia bey go in a stadium amd time it. Longest running wins something. I habe some other gimmicks as well that i will share once i have a doc set up.

Tournament: Would use WBO rules even if its not an official wbo tourny. Depending on attendance I would lime to have two age brackets. Say 11 and under and 12 and up.

If you habe any ideas on how to make it a good day shoot them out. I believe if poeple are goi g to travel for this lets make it an event not just a tournament.

Anyway back to work this week so if if i disappear untill friday dont be alarmed. Work amd family come first but im dedicated to making this happen.
Navygiant-How many people are you trying to get to come? If there are a bunch of people there, we would most likely need between 4-6 BB-10s or Zero-G stadiums. I think people would have them so it wouldn't be too big of a problem. For prizes in the MFB format,I would say 1stConfusedtrongest Blader Set or Ultimate DX Set 2nd:Flash Saggitario Starter
3rd:Random Booster Vol.7 Beat Lynx. Those should be the prizes only if at least 30 people are attending. Also, you could charge an extra 2$ or 3$ entry fee to cover the cost of prizes, since all those things are about 55$ together
Thats not a bad price at all for all of that. Who do you buy from, amazon? Ive bought two takaras from 88powerpig88 on amazon the beys are reasonable but the X D sets ran upwards of 60ish. Stadiums Bb10 $20-30. No worries there i can pick up a bit every month to reduce the impact.

What time frame is good? Realisticly January would probably be the earliest i could do this. It would be cool to do it in a mall during the holiday shopping may make it easier for parents to want to bring there kids. Get some shopping while some of the kids beyblade. I will look at my schedule and see if that is a possibility.

A big key would be to get poeple to register early so we have a good idea of how many we have. I really like the mall idea. May have to look deeper into that. With early registration we could do $6 and late $8 if we go that route. Not sure of the rules for wbo so i will have to ask did t notice anything in the guides about that.
I buy from 88powerpig88 and buzztoy2007 on eBay. A lot of Amazon's prices are much more expensive for DX sets. Here is a cheap Ultimate DX Set if you are wondering http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?...4839726511
Also, I love the mall idea. It could be held about a week before Christmas. We would need good advertising though. Unfortunately, not everyone would have a WBO account. As for entry fees, the WBO entry fee is $5. If it is not a WBO event, entry could be cheaper or free. That's also fabulous that you will buy the prizes. Please know you don't have to though because everyone could chip in just a little. One thing I disagree about is age groups. I personally would prefer just one group, but that is your choice. One question though- will the format be round robin bracket play? I consider that to be the fairest format.
Age groups would depend on participation size. Do you find that older kids dominate tournaments or is it random ages winning?

Again a lot depends on participation, but preferable round robin.

I would like it to be WBO and if i could set up my laptop we could register them or use the paper form. As far as funding Im not going to ask anybody for help with that. Im pretty sure Im one of the elder statesmen around here and wouldnt feel right about asking for that.

Let me get a rough schedule together this week. I will email it to you and add any suggestions and shoot it back to me. Once we have a semi formal proposal we can submitt it to WBO amd go from there.

The more we get our ducks in a row the more this will become a reallity.
I believe that the blader with the most skill would win, regardless of age. I would say older people win more though because they generally have more knowledge on the game.I look forward to seeing the schedule and will add any suggestions.I may be able to get a BB-10 this week too.
We had three- and five-year-old Bladers do really well in our tournaments before, by the way.
I am ShinobuXD's brother and would go.
Sounds good Phoenix, I've ibeen n contact with your brother with PM's.
I will be there!
I am looking for bladers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Anyone?
Around OKC here. Seems pretty quiet.
My 5 Y old just dragged me into Beyblade with him. I'm still teaching him how to do proper games. That being said I know there are two other older kids in our neighborhood that he plays with. We are all in Edmond area. Eventually I'm sure my son would like to go to events. Plus I can pass word to the other bladers in our neighborhood if anything pops up here.
Anyone in south western oklahoma?
Hey eveyone. We are a mom and son duo (hence the name). We are from mcalester, ok and i have family all around okc. Its only a 2 hr drive for us. I am new to the bey community. My son is 4 and a half and pretty much got me involved by dafault lol and im liking it almost as much as he does...except when he wants to battle me 100 times in a row!!! Anyway just thought i should announce ourselves in the Ok community... we would love to start going to and or hosting tournaments but neither of us are 100% knowledgable.... i think having a wbo in our town will be very beneficial for the kids and help keep them out of trouble!!!
I am in Tulsa lol
