The Petition Says:
Sony has their PlayStation 3 console region free, and sales are still good. Nintendo should make the Wii U region-free because local games from said region would still sell well in that region. Mario is Nintendo's biggest franchise, and they've made a lot of money off of Mario alone. It's still not too late for them to do this because the release of the Wii U in North America is still a month and a half away.
if Nintendo were to make their Wii U region-free, then there would be less pirating. It's time for us fans of Nintendo to take a stand. We should be able to have the right to play Wii U games from any region on the console we purchase from our local stores. C'mon fans of Nintendo, let's take a stand. They make these games for us, so let us be heard.
For those out there who might think this petition is stupid, it's not stupid. You wanna know why? Because there would be less pirating. We should be able to have the right to play games from any region on our local bought consoles. It costs a hell of a lot of money to import consoles than games themselves. Not everyone can afford to buy multiple consoles from different regions to enjoy the games they like.
There are titles that will never see the light of day outside Japan, and or never in North America.
