World Beyblade Organization by Fighting Spirits Inc.

Legends say that when ancient civilizations thrived, beyblades were formed to protect them. When these civilizations fell, the beyblades were lost. Or so they say. Aztecs, Egyptians, Romans, Chinese. These were the four civilizations who had beyblade guardians. Now, no one knows where these beys are hidden. Some say they will choose their new owners, some say they must be found, some doubt the existence of them all together. Only time will tell who is right, and who will possess these blades of immense power.

"No fair! If you paid me for the chores I did I would have enough money!" Dezi Thompson whined to his mom as they walked passed the toy store window with shiny new beyblades on display. He didn't care how childish he sounded, he had wanted a beyblade since he knew what they were.
"If you do extra work, maybe I'll start paying you." His mom said. Dezi rolled his eyes. As if he didn't have enough to do. It might have been summer break, but it seemed like he was doing more work than when he had been in school. As they walked home, Dezi blew at his bangs that kept getting into his eyes.
"Can I at least get a haircut?" He muttered, getting the hair out of his face.
"Its not that long, and I get my weekly pay on friday so we can go on saturday." His mom said. Dezi groaned. It was monday. When he got home, Dezi ran into his room and flopped onto his bed. If only he had a beyblade. One measly beyblade. He didn't care if it was a Storm Capricorne M145Q. Or an Inferno Sagittario 145S. Just a beyblade! He sat up and picked up his launcher grip. It hadn't always been his. It had once belonged to Zeo Abyss. Dezi closed his eyes and remembered that day. It had been warm, the breeze was blowing against his face. He heard some kids shouting in the park. He walked over and couldn't believe his eyes. Zeo Abyss, his idol was there beyblading with a bunch of kids. Dezi ran over. Zeo turned to him.
"Hi, whats your name?" Dezi stood there for a second then, realizing how stupid he looked, regained his composure.
"Dezi Thompson."
"Do you want to battle?"
"Yes, I mean, no, I mean, I don't have a beyblade.." Some of the kids laughed. Zeo put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a Flame Byxis 230WD and a launcher with a grip.
"You can use these." Dezi beamed. He attached Byxis to the launcher and took a deep breath.
"3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" Dezi immediately recognized the Screw Fox TR145W2D that Zeo was using.
"Time for a test drive." Dezi said. "Byxis! Attack!" Byxis turned towards Fox and charged. At the last second it turned around but because of the tall track, 230 and WD came around and hit Fox, knocking it off balance.
"Now Byxis! Finish it off!"
"Not so fast! Fox! Go!" Fox attacked and hit the bottom of Byxis' metal wheel, knocking it into the air.
"No Byxis!"
"Thats not all! Fox! Get him when he falls!" Zeo shouted. When Fox was right under Byxis, Dezi sprang to life.
"Byxis! Destiny Needle!" Zeo stared in awe as Fox moved away from the landing point of Byxis. Byxis landed and hit Fox out of the stadium.
"H-how could you use Byxis' special move?" Zeo stuttered. He then smiled. He picked up Byxis and Dezi handed the launcher grip back. Zeo took it, took out a marker, signed it, and handed it back to Dezi.
"That was an awesome battle. When you get a beyblade, come back and battle me again ok?"
"I will!" Dezi smiled as he remembered that day. He held the launcher grip.
"You wait Zeo! I'll get a beyblade, I really will!"

"Dezi! Dezi!" Dezi turned over and put his pillow over his ears. "Desmond Thompson get down here now!" Dezi sat up. He knew he was in trouble. He quickly got dressed and ran downstairs.
"Dezi! I've been calling you for half an hour!" His moms face was bright red.
"Sorry...I was asleep. No wonder there was so much yelling in my dream." Dezi smiled. His mom rolled her eyes.
"Can I go to the library?" Dezi asked.
"Fine. But come back for lunch."
"Ok bye!" Dezi ran out the door. The library was about a minutes walk from his house. When he got there, he went straight to the beyblade history section and pulled out his favorite book, The Four Ancient Guardians. He had read through the book tons of times and loved looking at the four guardians. L-Drago, Quetzalcoatl, Jupiter, and Anubis. They had been sealed when the kingdoms fell. He dreamed about finding one of those beys. Dezi closed the book and sighed. "They will appear to the chosen ones and bind with them body and soul."
"Hey, are you done with that?" Dezi jumped. He turned around. A girl about his age was standing behind him. She had long blonde hair and bright blue eyes.
"Oh, um, yah I'm done."
"Ok, could I see it?"
"Sure. You like beyblade?" Dezi handed her the book. She laughed.
"I wouldn't want to see the book if I didn't like beyblade would I?" Dezi face palmed himself.
"Duh. Sorry."
"That's ok. Oh by the way, my names Karen."
"Dezi."
"Cool. Say, me and some friends are going to the park to beyblade. Wanna come?"
"Um...I guess. Sure, when?"
"1:00 today."
"Ok. See you then."
"Bye." Dezi walked away then freaked out. He didn't have a beyblade. Everyone would think he was a complete dork. He ran home.
"Mom can I please please please have a beyblade please? I'll do anything!"
"I'm sorry, maybe once you get enough money." Dezi looked at her and saw the stubbornness in her eyes. He went to the kitchen and made himself a peanut butter jelly sandwich. Half an hour. Oh well, he'd just have to go with all he had. A launcher grip. He finished eating and went up to his room. He looked at the clock. 12:34. He grabbed his launcher grip and went to the park. Karen was already there.
"Hi Dezi!" She waved, smiling. Dezi waved.
"Why are you here so early?"
"I had nothing to do."
"Same here. Can I see your beyblade?" Dezi bit his lip.
"I...I don't have one." Dezi braced himself.
"Oh, thats ok. I have an extra one you can borrow." Karen smiled and pulled out an Earth Gasher C145B.
"Thank you." Dezi smiled, looking at the beyblade.
"Do you need a launcher?"
"No, that I've got." Dezi pulled out his launcher grip. Karen looked at it.
"Cool...wait thats not...Zeo Abyss' autograph is it?" Dezi beamed.
"Sure is."
"Thats amazing!" Karen cried.
"Hey, whats going on?" Dezi looked towards the voice. It belonged to a tall, muscular, boy. His hair was jet black like Dezi's.
"Hey guys! This is Dezi."
"Hi Dezi. I'm Eric. Eric Thomas." Dezi went to shake his hand but at the last second Eric pulled it away and slapped Dezi softly. Dezi looked at him. Eric looked back with an angry stare. Then Eric laughed.
"I'm just messing with you. No hard feelings?" Dezi smiled and actually shook his hand this time.
"Is Jimmy with you?" Karen asked.
"No. He's probably late. Hey what've you got their?" He pointed at Dezi's grip. Dezi showed it to him.
"Not bad, not bad." Eric nodded approvingly. "Actually, its awesome! You're one lucky kid."
"Hey guys sorry I'm late!" A boy about Dezi's height ran over to them. He had red hair that stuck up everywhere.
"There you are Jimmy. This is Dezi." Karen said.
"Hi there Dezi. I'm Jimmy." They shook hands.
"Now that everyone's here, lets battle!" Eric said as he charged over to a beyblade dish.
"Ok, everyone for themselves. 3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" Eric launched a Basalt Sagittario 230JB. Jimmy launched a Lightning L-Drago 85WF.
"Go L-Drago! Attack Gasher!" L-Drago went for Gasher. Dezi looked at L-Drago then,
"Go towards the edge Gasher!" When L-Drago got close to Gasher, its 85 track scraped against the stadium floor.
"Smart but..." Jimmy smiled. L-Drago attacked Sagittario on an angle, only to be deflected, flying right into Gasher. Dezi beamed. This was one exciting battle.
"Forgot about me boys?" Karen shouted, as Bull charged towards the recovering L-Drago, knocking it against the stadium wall.
"My turn now! You guys are done!" Eric shouted as Sagittario came crashing down on all three beyblades. L-Drago and Bull flew out of the stadium but Gasher just barely stayed in the stadium.
"Stubborn huh? Well this should take care of you. Sagittario!"
"Dodge it Gasher!" Gasher dodged and started pushing Sagittario out of the stadium.
"Sagittario! Get out of there!" The two clashed and sparks flew everywhere. In a burst of power, both the beys flew out of the stadium and landed on the grass.
"Wow. No ones ever got that close to beating me. Nice job!" Eric said, picking up Sagittario.
"Thanks!" Dezi smiled. "Wanna go get something to eat?"
"Sure!" Everyone said.
"Something tells me I just found three great bladers, and three great friends." Dezi said to himself, smiling.

It had been three days since Dezi had met Karen, Eric, and Jimmy. Then, one day he heard a knock on his door. It was them.
"Hey guys! How'd you find my house?"
"We looked it up in the school directory."
"You guys go to my school?"
"No, Jimmy's brother does though. We wanted to see if you wanted to go to the park with us."
"Sure. I think I'm free."
"Cool!" Karen grabbed his hand. "Lets go!" Dezi was dragged out the door.
"I'm going to the park mom!"
"Ok! Be back before dinner ok?"
"Ok!" When they got to the park, there were nine bladers already there.
"Hey guys! Wanna take us on?" Eric shouted. The bladers turned around.
"Sure, if you wanna lose." Eric laughed. "You can talk the talk but I think you're gonna trip." He said pulling out his launcher.
"Lets go! 3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" Nine Flame Leone 100BS's began circling the stadium.
"Attack!" The nine bladers shouted.
"Sagittario!" Sagittario knocked Bull, Gasher, and L-Drago out of the way and dodged. The nine blades hit each other.
"Go L-Drago!" L-Drago began to close in on the nine blades. He began circling around them, hitting them and stealing their spin.
"Go now! Bull!"
"Sagittario!"
"Gasher!"
"L-Drago!" The four beys attacked at the same time. When the dust cleared, the nine blades were in the dirt.
"Great battle guys!" Dezi said. Then, he got a call from his mom.
"Dezi? Is that you? I got something important to tell you." His moms voice sounded anxious.

"What is it mom?! Are you ok?" Dezi said worriedly.
"I'm fine it just that, well, we have to...go on a vacation to Miacatlan, Mexico!" Dezi was speechless. Now everything made sense! The money saving, the trips to the library, everything!
"Wow! That's awesome! Thank you!"
"You're welcome! Also, your dad was going to come but he has an important promotion conference and your aunt and uncle are also busy so you can bring three friends." Dezi's big smile got even bigger.
"I know exactly who to bring! When do we leave?"
"Tomorrow, make sure its ok with them."
"Ok bye!" Dezi hung up and looked at his friends, smiling. He quickly filled them in.
"Really? And you wanna take us?" Jimmy said excitedly.
"You bet! Hey wait a sec. Isn't that by the temple of the feathered serpent?" Karen's eyes grew wide.
"You don't think..."
"The Guardians!" Eric said, his eyes wide now to.
"I'm gonna do research!" Karen said. "See you guys tomorrow!"
"Bye!" Everyone went home. Dezi couldn't wait. That night, he was wide awake. By the time morning came, he was tired but to excited to sit in bed. He had already packed everything that night so he went downstairs and ate breakfast. In about 20 minutes, the doorbell rang. Dezi ran to get it.
"Hi Dezi!" Karen said, with a bag slung over her shoulder.
"Hi! Come on in!" The doorbell rang again. It was Eric without his bag.
"My mom said I couldn't come..."
"Oh man that stinks...you sure?"
"Yah, I gotta go, bye." Eric trudged away. When Dezi closed the door, he heard the doorbell again. It was Eric and Jimmy holding both their bags.
"I got you!" Eric laughed. Dezi smiled and rolled his eyes, letting them in. Dezi's mom was downstairs with a suitcase.
"Is everyone here and ready to go?" Everyone nodded.
"Then lets get in the car." Everyone scrambled into the car. They all got in the back.
"So do you think that the Quetzalcoatl blade will be there?" Karen asked.
"I sure hope so." Dezi said and Eric and Jimmy nodded their agreement. They talked about it the whole car ride to the airport.
"Man, it would be the best if we found the Guardian blade." Dezi sighed as he dozed off.

"Dezi. Dezi! Wake up!" Dezi opened his eyes. They were at the airport.
"Oh, hi guys! Sorry fell asleep."
"Thats fine. Lets get going though." Dezi's mom was unloading all the bags. When they finally got to the plane, they were surprised.
"Tons of people and us have to fit in that?" Eric said.
"No, thats a personal plane. For us!" His mom said.
"Personal plane? Wow thats awesome!" Karen said excitedly.
"Didn't I tell you? Oh my bad. Your fathers company is paying for it. He will meet us in Rome in a few days."
"Rome? Free flights? It does not get any better!" Jimmy smiled.
"Actually, it does. We have 5 star hotel accommodations, and a free tour of the temple of the feathered serpent!" The four kids gaped.
"T-this is the best thing ever!" Karen said grabbing Eric, Jimmy, and Dezi into a group hug.
"Thank you so much Mrs. Thompson!" Jimmy cried.
"Man this is awesome!" Eric said.
"Ow, my arm!" Dezi groaned.
"Oops! Sorry." Karen laughed. When they boarded the plane, Eric went nuts.
"This is like a house! A clean bathroom, a TV, couches, oh man this is awesome!" In no time at all, they were on their way. Then, Dezi jumped up. Something had been bugging him throughout the whole flight and he had just realized what it was.
"Mom!"
"Whats wrong Dezi!?"
"Nothings wrong. Before we boarded the plane, did you say we were going to Rome!?"
"Yes I did."
"Wow! Mexico, Rome, this is awesome!"
"Wait a sec. This is weird." Karen spoke up. "Mexico, Rome, think about it guys!"
"What?" Eric was getting worked up.
"Think about it will you? Mexico, ancient home of the Mayans. They praised the feather serpent. Rome, the ancient home of the Romans. They praised..."
"Jupiter! Jupiter! I get it now!" Dezi jumped up. "This is weird! We're going to two of the resting places of the Guardian beyblades!" Eric and Jimmy's eyes got wide as they realized it.
"This is freaky! Awesome, but freaky!" Eric said quietly.
"You don't think this was set up by anyone do you?" Jimmy asked.
"Not anyone no..." Dezi thought. "But maybe...maybe..."
"You don't think..."
"The book says it. 'They will appear to the chosen ones and bind with them body and soul' you don't think we're the chosen ones?" Karen whispered. Eric laughed.
"I highly doubt it."
"Wait wait!" Dezi interrupted. "Karen might be onto something! We all are good bladers, there are four of us, and we're going right to the places of two of the Guardians resting places! It might be us!"
"To many coincidences to, well, be just a coincidence." Jimmy thought out loud. "Yah. I think its a possibility!" Eric shrugged.
"Eh guys I dunno. But it would be really cool!"
"Well, we're gonna find out if we're right pretty soon!" Dezi looked out the window. There was the airport. Everyone buckled up, hands shaking.
"Temple of the feathered serpent here we come!" Dezi said excitedly. His mom popped in.
"Actually, hotel here we come. We won't be going to the temple for an hour or so."
"Aw man! Well lets set an unpacking record!" Eric shouted.
"Yah...ok." Jimmy said. The four of them laughed.

When they finished unpacking, the four friends ran to the temple which wasn't very far from the hotel.
"Wow! Lookit that!" Dezi said, as the other three just stared in awe.
"That's amazing!" Karen said.
"Why're we sitting here looking at it when we could be exploring it?" Eric said, running in.
"Are we allowed in he-" Dezi started.
"Sure we are, lets go!" Jimmy said, running in after Eric. Dezi looked at Karen who shrugged and followed them. Dezi ran after her. When he got it, Eric, Jimmy, and Karen were running down a bunch of stairs. Dezi caught up with them.
"Where is that dang bey?" Eric wondered aloud, looking under every nook and cranny he passed. They looked for about half an hour.
"This is hopeless." Eric said.
"We can't give up!" Dezi stood up. "Hey what about there?" He pointed to a passage a little ways down.
"I checked there already." Jimmy said but Dezi was already running towards it. "But who trusts me?" He muttered, getting up and running after them. When they got to the end of the passage, Dezi stopped.
"A dead end?"
"See, I told you." Jimmy said, panting. Then, the floor began to crack.
"What's going on?" Eric said, looking around frantically.
"Don't worry about that, lets get out of here!" Karen shouted. However, the floor gave in before they reached the end.
"We're going down!" Dezi shouted. Luckily, the fall wasn't very far.
"Ow. That hurt." Karen said, getting up and looking around.
"We could climb right out! Lets go!" Eric started climbing. Dezi grabbed him.
"Wait! Whats that?" Everyone looked at where Dezi was pointing.
"That looks like...Quetzalcoatl!" Jimmy said as the four of them ran over to it.
"Looks like its been here for millions of years!" Karen said, examining it.
"How're we supposed to get it out?" Eric said, hitting the rock.
"Its stuck in there pretty good." Jimmy said, pulling at it.
"Maybe we aren't the chosen ones..." Dezi said.
"Maybe we are! We can't give up!" Eric began ramming against the rock. After he got tired, Karen reached out and touched it. The rock began to glow, but only for a second.
"Hey wow! Lemme try!" Eric got up. The rock glowed for about as long as when Karen had touched it. Jimmy touched it with the same result. Dezi touched it too, it glowed a bit longer but still nothing. Dezi got upset. He grabbed the beyblade and tried to pull it out. The rock began to glow more.
"I'm getting something guys! Help me out!" Dezi cried. The three friends grabbed Dezi and pulled. The, they heard a crack.
"Oh come on! The floors cracking again!?" Jimmy yelled.
"No! Wait! We're almost there! Just a little more!" Dezi strained. Then, a loud cracking noise sent tremors throughout the temple. The four friends flew across the room.
"Owowowow!" Jimmy yelled. "Eric! Get off my arm!"
"Oops! Sorry."
"Hey watch my leg!"
"Excuse me." When the four of them got up, they looked around.
"I have it! Its here!" Dezi shouted, holding it up.
"Phantom Quetzalcoatl W145WD." Karen said in awe.
"Well don't just sit there! Battle me!" Eric shouted, pulling out Basalt Sagittario.
"Ok 3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!" Dezi shouted, launching Quetzalcoatl.
"Sagittario! Attack!" Eric shouted. Sagittario bounced off like rubber.
"What's going on!? Well if power won't work, take this!" He shouted as Sagittario hammered Quetzalcoatl from every angle. However, Quetzalcoatl seemed to have lost no spin.
"Show me your power Quetzalcoatl!" Dezi shouted.
"Uh-oh." Eric said. Sagittario was knocked out of the stadium and sent flying into the wall. Everyone stared in awe.
"W-what power! Thats scary!" Karen said.
"That thing has the power of like ten normal beys!" Jimmy said.
"W-wha...how...shmub?" Eric blubbered. The four of them took turns examining Quetzalcoatl as they walked back to the hotel.
"If thats the power of this one bey, think of the power if all four of the Guardians were to battle at the same time." Jimmy whispered.
"Man...that would be awesome!" Eric said as the four friends walked back to the hotel.
