I know that you are probably already laughing at the combo, but humor me for a min. So we all know that F : D works off centrifugal force to mode swap. I recently had the thought that another factor comes into play with its mode swap…..weight. The tip will obviously retract sooner if the bey is heavier, because, well, it is what is supporting the weight of the bey. This theory brought me to trying F : D on synchromes. And let me tell you, I was surprised because this has shown results in OSing (and sometimes KOing) defense, KOing stamina, and even acting like an anti-attack combo!
I know in the past, several people have tried weak launching F : D combos so that the SF mode doesn’t activate, and the bey just doesn’t have the speed to KO anything. With the weight of synchromes, you can launch stronger without activating SF, and from my experience, still have enough speed to KO.
With this particular combo, you get 2 benefits of weak launching, one to get max speed and control with the RF mode, and two, the spin steal of a left spin combo. The first couple of hits really take a chunk out of the opponent’s stamina if it doesn’t just out right KO them. And Because F : D is so wide, the combo is actually quite stable at the end of a battle, which really helps it (in spite of the rubber) OS an opponent it couldn’t or didn’t KO.
Now on to the tests:
I am going ahead and apologizing for not having every top tier combo. I just got into Beyblade a few months ago and I am still working on building up my collection.
BB-10 attack stadium
Beylauncher L, Beylauncher, launcher rubbers on both
On all Basalt combos, Kerbecs was aligned properly (a full chain across from staircase, and where 2 chains meet over staircase)
I did some tests against Basalt Kerbecs 230CS, but I cannot find where I wrote them down. However, the only time Ifraid Dragooon F : D didn’t KO Basalt Kerbecs 230CS was the one or two times I self KOed from a bad launch. Well, I wanted to see if E230 could do any better. The disk on E230 was not in boost mode (the disk was pointing down where it can move up and down more)
I did some anti-attack testing, even though it’s really hard to do by yourself.
I would love some feedback on this, and hopefully some of you with more parts and experience could do some tests!
Thank you Meow! for your videos on how to launch Beat (they helped me extremely). And a huge thank you to Ingulit and Dark_Mousy for reviewing/editing the draft of this thread!!

Parts explanation: (Click to View)
The choice of F : D has already been explained, and Dragooon is obviously to make it left spin. Ifraid was chosen because out of the wheels I own (Dragooon, Phoenic, Gryph, Reviser, and Ifraid x2) it performs the best overall. Phoenic helps KO a little more than Ifraid, but is not as good when it comes down to a spin equalizing battling. Gryph didn’t show that it could do anything better than Ifraid. Reviser is the opposite of Phoenic, it doesn’t KO as well (probably due to its lower recoil) but it OS a tad better than Ifraid. This combo needs a certain amount of recoil for two main reasons. One, since it won’t be going full speed, you need it to help KO. I will explain the second reason in the launch section. So in my honest opinion, Ifraid is just a safer bet because it provides enough recoil, and still seems to have enough balance to OS things it cannot KO.
The launch: (Click to View)
This is a very launch dependent combo. Against almost everything you want to launch just hard enough NOT to activate SF mode, and slightly bank it. This takes a little practice because since F : D is so wide, and the combo is moving so fast, it’s easy to self KO. I am not going to lie to you, I still don’t have it down to where I never self KO. However, against something you know you can’t KO, another effective (and harder to pull off) way to launch it, is by launching hard enough to where SF is active for only a few hits. This allows the combo to leach as much spin as possible before it turns into a spin equalizing battle, and then kind of “run away†(by RF activating) with the spin it stole. This brings us to the second reason you want a certain amount of recoil. When it is in SF mode, you are usually battling over the center. You want this combo to be kicked out on to the slope when RF activates. If RF mode activates while on the slope, then it will start an auto almost flower pattern. If it activates closer to the center, then it will go into a tornado stall. Also, if you bank really deep with this launch, I have noticed that sometimes it will act like RF for one, maybe two hits, and then straighten up into SF. Against attack (and anything high recoil), you never want SF to activate.

A few times I didn’t get the launch right and it wasn’t hard enough to activate SF. This resulted in the self KOs and a couple of KOs on Basalt. Seeing that, I believe if I had not tried to activate SF at all, then I would have had more KOs on Basalt.

The OSs BK had was due to ID getting pinched in between Basalt and E230 as it toppled (that was kind of cool to see lol).

You had to go for the KO here. I swear Death is immune to any kind of spin stealer/equalizer. I went 30 rounds on this one cause it was so back and forth. ID would have KO after KO, and then for several rounds Death just wouldn’t leave the stadium for anything. These results could be a lot better if I had more practice. It’s all about launch consistency with this battle.

I did some very informal tests against other synchromes, and it still did fairly well. The one thing it had some issues with was Gryph Reviser BD145RDF. I was able to KO it a couple of times but could not OS it. It was really RDF that gave me trouble. If I changed it to CS or RSF, then I could OS it. Also, check the face bolts of both beys after a couple of rounds to make sure they are still tight. I think because this grinds so hard in the opposite direction, sometimes it almost unscrews itself. Haha
Conclusion: (Click to View)
I personally think there is some real potential with F : D and synchromes. I know these are not mind blowing win percentages, but I honestly believe with more experience/testing they could be higher. I personally love the fact that it can compete with all styles of combos. I also know that these are not perfect top tier combos. I just wanted to get the idea out there so all of you could try it out.
As I get more zero g wheels I will try them out with Dragooon to see what would be the best to use. As I said, you have to have the right amount of recoil with this combo. I have just about convinced myself to purchase another Dragooon because I believe Dragooon Dragooon could be the way to go with this. From what I have read about Dragooon^2, it seems it might have the right amount of recoil you need for this combo. However, I do like the fact that there is currently a right spin wheel on bottom. That way if you know that your opponent is using a left spin combo you could flip this combo to right spin and theoretically get the same results.
