I've looked through the forums and haven't seen anyone mention any states in the southern(ish) United States, so I thought I'd give my area a shot. Me and my Fiance' beyblade, along with some friends of mine, and I'd definately be interested in hosting an official WBO tourney, I love organizing and managing events, and have experience doing so. I have a feeling I'll be hearing crickets in this thread, but it's worth a shot I suppose, I'm also working on getting enough of my friends into it to have an official tourney without the disappointment of there not being any bladers in my area. I also have a great video camera (not a digital camera with video mode, a serious HD video camera) and my own editing software, and love making videos, so there would definately be videos/pictures of any event if one was ever held. Anyone's two cents are appreciated!

Well, I'll be the first to respond for you. I live in NC, on the border between North and South Carolina so I'm ways away from you. However, I did notice that there were plenty of "Southern" bladers (quite a few in North-North Carolina and some in Georgia). Maybe we should try to do a event where all of us can meet in the middle. Charlotte, NC anyone?
I know I'd be down, I'd have to save up a little bit of cash to make the trip, but if we had a decent amount of people it would be a great idea. But considering that most of the bladers around are likely under 18, I don't see it happening. Sadly...*sniffle*...haha. I'll live.
Well, that is true. I was mostly going to announce the tournament for my neighborhood friends and the like. Actually, it wasn't going to be a tournament, more like a blader jam to promote the game. And what's wrong with blading against people under 18. I mean I'm 19 years old so it'll all be good!
When I get my stuff from MOJ so I can loan kids beyblades for the day, I'll get around to organizing it. You, your wife and your friends can come along as well.
Oh, I dunno why I used the word tournament, but any kind of get together is good man. And I don't have a problem blading with younger kids, I was just saying it would likely be hard for them to show up...although I will admit, I'll have to get used to the possibility of getting my tail handed to me by a kid half my height. haha. But yeah it sounds like it would be a great time, I'd bring a couple of my buds along, of course, this all depends on when and if I can afford to make the trip.
Cool beans! I mean I can try to get my friends to come. It'll be close by so I don't think getting them to show up is much of a issue. And, another thing, where in TN exactly do you live? Despite the mountains, I'm sure the trip won't be as bad?
I live in Clarksville, TN. It's about 40 miles out of Nashville, but I don't think the trip would be bad at all. I love road trips. lol

I live in High Point, but go to school in Charlotte. I'd love a get together. It'd help justify just why in the world I'm buying all that I'm buying. If something is organized, I'll be game.

"Southern Classic Blader Jam" has a great ring to it. And regarding the trip, I've done far crazier things...I'll probably go and just call it a mini-vacation and stay for a while, not just for this purpose only.
And really, it'd be about a 5 hour trip for me...I have a fast car for this very purpose.
(Disclaimer: kids, it's NOT cool to drive fast...at all. Little red sports cars are overrated.)

Unless you happen to own a AE86 Sprinter Trueno. And allright, that's cool then. There's plenty to see in South Charlotte and the downtown area is not so bad either. Well, we should make a list of our stadiums. I only have the Tornado Attack (Red) Stadium. My friend has the Driger Den Stadium.
I have the clear Pegasis stadium...no idea what the real name for it is, but it came in the Pegasis DX package.
And Tempestas007 is borrowing the HMS Tornado Balance. So we have two attack types, one balance and one "endurance/defense" type.
Since it's a jam, I was thinking it's going to be like Plastics v.s Plastics, HMS v.s HMS and MFB v.s MFB. Any suggestions?
Thats cool with me, no real suggestions here. Also sounds like we have a nice variety of stadiums, which is always good. Like I said, I don't know when I'd be able to make that kind of trip, but if we get a general idea of what would happen whenever we did decide to hold it, it'll make holding it alot more simple when the time does come.
