(Aug. 02, 2012  3:04 AM)th!nk Wrote: [ -> ]Maybe it makes up for it with speed or something, combined with a good shape? Honestly I have no idea but the videos are there and people are getting these results... It reminds me of that video of Tornado R145RF(R2F? IDK) or some similar tornado combo KOing Basalt BD145CS, except in this case more than one person is getting it (and the attacker isn't moving as fast as the tornado combo was). Uncertain

Could someone try it against Diablo or one of the less overpowered but still defensively-strong synchroms? I'm curious to see what it does against an even heavier opponent (though basalt already gives some indication I'm probably wrong on this).

Also if anyone has been using their cosmic a lot for this combo, and it has visible wear, could you upload clear pictures of that wear?

part- Well, there certainly hasn't been any formal testing on it, but Inguilt posted about his informal tests on the previous page where he mentioned how BADLY Diablo dominated over Cosmic...

But I seriously have to agree that these test are, for the most part, unbelievable!
It has proof, but it still is SO unbelievable!!!
How can something lighter, of basically the same shape and texture, perform better than its heavier counterpart?!
What in the world does it have in it that Big Bang doesn't?!

who has Big Bang and Cosmic- Is there any MAJOR difference in their contact points?
Also, check out the lower surface of the wheel to see if there are any differences (because that's the area which makes contact with the opposing bey, if its at that height)

The concept of it making up for the weight with its speed does seem pretty believable if the theory of momentum and inertia was to be believed.... Being lighter, it can certainly move quicker than Big Bang on the same setup; and hence with the extra speed, make up for its weight.
But still, that gives it no real advantage to knock things out quite easily... :\
This is a superbly mysterious part IMO.

To be honest, I believe-
Not worth reading really (Click to View)
EDIT- WHOA! Beaten by th!nk, who presented (almost) the same weight distribution theory as I have! Tongue_out
DefStamina, thank you for all your testing, but I have to say that we really need to get some testing with Cosmic and Big Bang on TH170 (or 160/165/etc) more than AD145. I just tried AD145 and it doesn't get nearly the same amount of KOs as the TH170 variant. I think the contact points on the bottom of the wheel are more important than the more obvious contact points on the side.

And yeah, I can totally see the weight distribution playing a big role here for the reasons Jan mentioned (various materials in various places vs. a lot of metal). Even though it's so much lighter, I think the weight is just distributed better. Who knows, if Big Bang was solid metal but still somehow weighed the same it might be better than Flash, lol

EDIT: Okay, better than Flash is an overstatement (Cosmic is NOWHERE NEAR the level of Flash), but you get my point.
Someone should trim the protrusions off the metal core off a (fake) BBP and use it to keep a legitimate metal frame in place, and then test it without a PC frame to emulate that, haha.

Best you can do without mutilating something is using the Metal Core further forward than the modes intend and using no PC frame but even then the metal core's wings get in the way, and the ends of Cosmic's wings look like they hang lower than Big Bang's, and therefore would make more contact.
i just used this combo against a l drago destroy but it wasn't koing can someone do test in a with a left spin beyblade in a bb-10
(i don't have one)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjTHLpsdde0

they show the contact point differences and i believe the change in the design have caused this improval
I'm thinking of writing a creepypasta about these test results, I mean all of my what right now. Uncertain

Very informative video, aurawolf.
Isn't it funny that Cosmic looks like it should deal vicious upper attack?
Hate to post any other tests without owning Big Bang also, but I thought these were kind of some interesting results (probably not valid since they were done in my home-made bb-10, but still)

MF2 Cosmic Aquario R145 R2F vs. MF2 Hell Kerbecs BD145 WD
Cosmic Wins: 14 (10 KO, 4 OS) (assuming OS= outspin)
Hell Wins: 6 (1 KO, 5 OS)
1 battle redone because of tie
Cosmic Win %: 70

MF2 Cosmic Aquario R145 R2f vs. MF2 Basalt Kerbecs BD145 CS
Cosmic Wins: 11 (9 KO, 2 OS)
Basalt Wins: 9 (2 Ko, 7 OS)
Cosmic Win %: 55

MF2 Cosmic Aquario R145 CS vs MF2 Hell Kerbecs BD145 WD
Cosmic Wins: 10 (7 KO, 3 OS)
Hell Wins: 10 (3 KO, 7 OS)
2 battles redone because of ties
Cosmic Win %: 50
Unfortunately, they're not valid since you didn't actually conduct your tests in a legitimate MFB Attack Stadium. Unhappy

So Cosmic Is Better Than Big Bang? Now I Wanna Get It For The R2F And Cosmic Grin

MF-H Cosmic Leone 145MF vs. MF-H Basalt Bull GB145CS
Cosmic: 6/20 (6 KO)
Basalt: 14/20 (9 KO, 5 OS)

MF-H Cosmic Leone 230MF vs. MF-H Basalt Bull GB145CS
Cosmic: 1/20 (1 Lucky KO)
Basalt. 19/20 (9 KO, 10 OS)

MF-H Cosmic Leone 145R2F vs. MF-H Basalt Bull GB145CS
Cosmic: 1/20 (1 Lucky KO)
Basalt: 19/20 (8 KO, 11 OS)

Each test had one tie each and all were redone.

Cosmic on 230 sucks. And I used GB145 cause I don't have BD145, that's probably why I didn't get good results with Cosmic.

How does MF get better results than R2F? Wth is wrong with your R2F? lol
Nothing. Lol it's primed. I have a hard time controlling it. I used the one from the triple battle set with the Triple battle stadium. Weird. Does anybody notice tht it has a bar on cosmic pegasus' r2F?
Hasbro R2F sucks bro, since it has no reinforcement for the R2F (though the rubber has the bar in it). Also, I think you mean 'prime', priming an R2F isn't exactly legal.
I did a test and cosmic sucks for recoil defense I used: Cosmic Pegasus 2 GB145RS vs. Galaxy Pegasus 3 W105R2F and galaxy won all 5 battles in a lions lair.
I'll give links to the photos of my 7 r2F and primed means in best wear. Mint is never used and Worn is one that stays in the middle.
I was using the bottom row the one in the middle.
Rebound (not recoil, we had plenty of discussion on this) Defense is useless, like always.

Especially with something as light as Cosmic.

EDIT: Also, I know what 'prime' means. 'Primed', like you're trying to correct me with, means something completely different.
How do I prime a R2F? Sorry if this doesn't belong here.
There's this thread where you can ask a question
And get an answer
I'd say that's a good place to start
But that's just me
actually the r2f cosmic comes with has two bars stretching to the middle of the inside but they don't meet and the r2f i got from cosmic seems a bit harder than normal anybody got the same deal
Guys, check Beywiki, it's mold 3 of R2F.
Cosmic is top ten metal fury (hasbro) beyblades it has thhe great attack power but it has weaknesses it can beat easy

... let me correct myself. Cosmic comes with mold 1 of R2F.

Anything anyone wants tested? I own Cosmic now.

Mold 1 of the plastic part, with a new, shorter rubber part, isn't it?
Don't think it's really shorter, but it's definitely softer.

Don't know who started that up, but it most definitely isn't shorter.
However, it is much softer, that I can say.
Anyways, let's move this discussion elsewhere, this topic is for Cosmic.
