Ok, so I know a lot of you aren't into this style of music, but I have to gush about this CD.

I had listened to the band before this release and was moderately interested, but after I listened through this entire disc I was really impressed.

The Dillinger Escape Plan started out as this (forgive the usage) "mathcore" band with some crazy, off-beat riffs and drum progressions. Their previous release, "Calculating Infinity", is heralded by many metal heads as one of the best discs of our generation, and the follow up to that disc, "Miss Machine" is widely loved as well.

However, "Ire Works", the newest release, isn't getting such praise and I fail to see why. The band has always been known for branching out into odd things, and with "Ire Works" they've successfully evolved from the sound they obtained on "Miss Machine", utilizing the techno-influence from that disc to create something as totally loud and in-your-face as they've always been famous for.

The difference with this disc is that all of the songs are relatively short and are even more eclectic than any that have come before it. This is one disc that really requires listening to all of it in one sitting and I can't stress enough how good it is.

If you're into heavier music, or even out of the ordinary stuff, definitely give this album a try. Like I said, I wasn't exactly a huge fan before, but this disc has certainly piqued my interest.

Any other fans/potential fans out there?

Sounds interesting Grin
I'll be honest, you were about the last person I expected to be interested. lmao
Lol.

Well I listened to them on youtube, and I really don't like them, since they scream through the whole song Chocked. If it was a mixture of vocals and screaming, I'd like it, since the parts without any screaming are nice Smile
They are a little too hardcore for me. My brother mentioned them to me, so I think he likes them.
One thing I love about you Roan, is that you can make almost ANYTHING sound appealing.
I've heard of these guys before, and I'm just gonna have to download some of their stuff now.
I Love There Song Unretrofied I So Far Think Thats There Best Song
