Really? I loved both iterations of the game, to be honest. It could get frustrating if you stopped paying attention for a moment, but all in all it was pretty easy.

This. Also, I was never good at card games. And the boosters thing, REALLY annoying. Seriously. I could never get any good cards. Then I have to customize the deck to use certain Sleights and......it just got really annoying.
Once you organized your deck in the right order(keeping combo break zeros after sleights was what I did), it was actually pretty simple to just button mash, with the right sleights.

Aside from 0 breaking, I basically never used anything but Sleights halfway through. I will admit, though, that the endless amount of meaningless battles you often had to slog through were quite frustrating at times, as well.
Yo, man, teach me. I forgot how far I am, but I'm about to break my controller (and I don't wanna go through that again). How should I organize my deck? What types of cards I should use? Should I follow those theme decks in GameFAQs?

We can take this to PMs, or if you wanna help out anyone who hates Chain of Memories for the reasons I do, you can post here.
Honestly I don't remember much anymore, but I got most of my methods from GameFAQs, so you should be fine using them.

Just do what I do: level to 100 and then proceed to button mash. Genius.
Later bosses will combo break you frequently if you don't pay attention. You'll even get regularly sleight broken toward the end of the main story, and in Riku's story.
Playing through KH2 on Proud right now. Strangely, I breezed through Xaldin with ease, no Mickey, but Im having trouble on space paranoids on the Solar Sailer... damn Devastators always max out the weight bar
The trick to Proud was really the exact same trick to everywhere else in the game... overlevel. KH2 leveling was exceptionally fast even without exploiting Magnega and Thundaga in the Proudlands.
Disney should put Pixar characters in Kingdom Hearts 3. It would be awesome.

I think they are making it with Pixar Characters Grin
Does anyone know if they are making a HD remake for KH? And will it be Final Mix, because I think it would make more money if it was Final Mix.
I can't imagine why they would release yet another way to play through KH 1, since the PS2 is still fine.

I want them to stop putzing around with remakes and new spins on old games and just pump out new product.
You got a point, but I'd rather re-play especially if it is Final Mix on a higher resolution, then play another sequel, or in my perspective, a side-sequel.

But I definitely agree that Square Enix should stop with the build-up games and make a KH3, there is really no need to pile on some more story onto KH, it's already complicated as it is.
I have not really ever been interested or more/less entertained by graphics - I think the original KH still looks perfectly fine.
Finally finished Ventus' story and moving on to Aqua. She is surprisingly harder to play than Ventus and Terra. After a regular attack, there's a slight lag that makes it harder to connect a Command, even magic. Fortunately, using Cartwheel and following up with an attack eliminates that problem.

I learned that the point of Aqua is to not chain Commands after attacks, but to utilize more movement and defense. It makes battles longer, but it's effective (for me, that is).

For Ventus, his array of offensive elemental movement commands (Fire Glide, Ice Slide, and Thunder Roll), made constant moving a must while working with attacks and Commands on the side. Terra, it's just straight up attacking, which is why I view him as the suggested choice to start Birth by Sleep with.
Aqua was really fun to play, but I did prefer Ventus over the three of them.

When you start making stronger magic, Aqua becomes... comically explosive. Even with the game installed, there is some lag, haha. Anyway, once you get bigger badder spells, Aqua gets MUCH easier.
KH needs less spinoffs. They really should focus on something more now, like KH3.
They're over complicating the story line IMO, and I'd just love to see what ACTUALLY happens NEXT, not in the PAST. Can't rush perfection though, hah. I'm sure they've been working on it - it would be very much unlike them to not do so. Final Fantasy XIII took a few years to release.
However they're trying to milk to series for what it's worth, which is understandable for a company. They know once they release KH3 it will leave no room for anymore progression in the story, or anymore games. (given that they don't leave it at a cliffhanger for something like KH4.
People complaining about spinoffs in the KH series seem to neglect mentioning that the spinoffs are, for the most part, excellent games. I'd actually put Birth by Sleep above the main series in terms of enjoyability, even.

358/2 or whatever was horrendous choppy gameplay focused around a dumb character, and Re: Coded was insipid, but otherwise the KH series is golden.
Hah, there's the problem. I gave up on the series when I played 358/2 Days, it was really the only spinoff I ever played (minus the one for GBA, I believe it was Coded or something like that?) and I have always wanted to get BBS, but I didn't want to invest in a PSP just for one game. I've seen it though, it looks terrific and fun, I'd love to play it some day. I can tell it isn't bad.
Chain of Memories is the GBA one, and I absolutely love both it and Re: Chain of Memories.

Birth By Sleep is the only PSP game worth actually buying the console for. It's actually just as polished as any of the PS2 series games, and you'd really not know you weren't playing one of them.
Something as good as KH2?

Dammit Hazel, now you have me even deeper in the wallet.. ;(
Hah, when I get the chance to (if I ever do) I'll get it, for sure.

Well, I don't mean lag as in the game slows down (aka Ventus' Peter Pan D-Link finisher Sword Bill). More like, she has a second or two hesitation after a combo that makes you extremely vulnerable. That's why I can't wait to get a second Cartwheel and Fire/Fira Command to make Fire Cartwheel. Right now, I'm Command Boarding my carp off for Cure, because, as my friend told me, "She's squishy."

Actually, KH3 is the last of the Xehanort Trilogy, but probably not the end of Kingdom Hearts. Birth By Sleep doesn't count among that trilogy because it SET the Trilogy.

If you REALLY want the full story...go to Wikipedia AND YouTube. You don't really have to play the games, but the spinoffs are technically integral to have the deepest understanding for the game. Nomura made a really expansive timeline on the Kingdom Hearts universe. Even Coded had a meaning that SOMEWHAT sets something for the future game(s), such as

The only reason why everyone hates Re:Coded is because it's the same Kingdom Hearts, but just an altered plot. It kinda sucks. But the animation is at least better than 358/2 Days...

I personally liked the story of 358/2 Days. KH2 didn't delve too much on Roxas, who's partially as important as Sora...actually, I take that back. He's important, but not as important as Sora.
I just got my new Nintendo Power and the featured article is about Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
It's full of a bunch of interesting information.
Some of you might know Riku and Sora re playable characters. Apparently, you do not select a character. You play as both, at the same time. The new Drop guage automatically switches to the other character when it is drained (regardless of what you are doing, fighting, exploring, etc.) I don't really like this idea, but I'll give it a go.
I also talks about Flowmotion (which is what they call Sora and Riku swinging and jumping off the environment and using that momentum to move and attack). Another thing I found interesting was that in an interview with the creator, after a question was asked about the main villian, he says the boy in the black coat is key. There is one picture with Xeanhort after he took control of Terra's body, so I have a feeling this will be VERY interesting.
That shouldn't be surprising, concerning who the main villain will be. The trailers were pretty obvious.
