Is anybody else playing Hundred-Eyes Dragon in thier Extra Deck right now? I bought one for 6$ and it kills with Blackwings, if you remove Fane the Steel Chain to get its effect thats a 3000 attack monster with a direct attack, it's the easist kill ever.

Very good card. The guy who won nats used it. he removed infernity necromancer to special summon archfiend and got his 2nd infernity barrier. that move won him nats.

Ghilbi, Mistral, and Fane are all pretty bad cards because they don't net you any real advantage. I'd take them out and add 2 Blizzard. And what's with Summon Reactor? Strafe is a bad and situational -1. I don't know about the other cards, but I do know that having a 50 card deck just screams inconsistency. I hate to say it, but you're better off netdecking a Blackwing deck that has topped an event.
I play Mistral because it's a tuner and has a good defence and good effect if I get swarmed early in the game. Ghibli because it saves me from direct attacks. And Fane cause it kills if you power it up with Sirocco since it can attack directly. I don't know if I'm the only but like Summon Reactor since it deals a good amount of damge and negates attacks, it really doesn't slow down the deck. But I'm with you on Strafe I think I might replace it soon but I don't know with what, any suggestions?
EDIT: I think I am going to take out 1 Ghibli for another Blizzard or a Vayu if I can get one.
I've been looking all over the konami website for coverage of uk nats and by the looks of things they havn't even posted it yet!!! It's been like 3 weeks now you think something would be up not just the damn location if the finals *raeg*
My deck is based on earthbound immortals. I summon 2 ghost tokens after I take damage. I play my spider web field spell and summon uru. If it gets destroyed I use earthbound revival and I have a bunch of other support cards too.

YGO is serious business guys.

But really, it's douche baggery like this that made me quit playing this game competitively.
doucheys have bad problems Grin so they take it out on people playing a fun card game Grin

i kinda used to play still have my old Cystal deck. rainbow dragon~
lol I was running GB today and beat an experienced X-Saber player 2-1. Immediately following that, I lost to a little kid playing BW 0-2. I suck.
well i have a Fortune lady Deck with Earth Bound Immortal Aslla Piscu so im a dark signer and no one can beat me

Skill drain. Good game.

I should know, I play Fortune Ladies.

It's funny actually because both X-Sabers and Blackwings are a really bad match up for Glads.

I've been playing GBs competitively for about 6 months (maybe longer, not exactly sure) and I still can't beat either of those two decks consistently. They just gain way too much advantage and do it way too quickly for GBs to keep up sometimes. But if you're able to go first and get your momentum going early game there's almost no way they can win.
So my old Spellcaster deck has disappeared somewhere in my 2 moves in the past year, so I'm running plants right now. It's nowhere near major tourney ready, and it really can only answer about 1/2 of tier 2 right now. But it's a work in progress. Black Rose speed summon and field control is what I'm looking at, as well as the reliable World Tree/Black Garden cards work wonders for my deck. Also, Ivy/Fragrance is awesome for quick kills and card advantage.

List coming later.
Have you tried teching Cactus Bouncer? I find it works really well with Black Garden. It shuts down your opponent's Special Summons. Of course, it also shuts down yours, but you can get around it with quite a few cards.

I was able to draw Chariot early on and was able to recycle it. He had to Starlight Road his own Heavy Storm in order to win one of the rounds. I learned through playing several X-Sabers that you need to Book/Compulse the tuner that Boggart Knight usually special summons in order to stop their major play: Faultroll. The thing about BW that I hate is most definitely the Whirlwind. If there's nothing to get rid of it or the BW, there's nothing to stop the BW player from continually gaining advantage.
Yeah, the key to stopping Sabers is preventing them from ever having 2 face-up Saber creatures on the field.

The trouble is that that is really hard to do because they have so many ways to swarm you. Boggart Knight is the most common, obvious Faultroll play, but the other really common, more annoying one is Rescue Cat into Airbellum and Darksoul.

But basically you hit the nail on the head, Chariot wins games. If I know I'm playing Sabers and I don't draw into a Chariot opening hand I'll go out of my way to search it with a Samnite/Respite play.
Yeah, my friend who plays GB (along with several other decks) tends to tag into Samnite more often this format in order to grab Chariot, since there are so many key recruiters and broken monster plays that GB players need to stop.

I haven't really tried Respite. How is it working for you, and how many monsters do you play?
Respite is pretty cool most of the time. I'm playing it at 2 right now and I'm digging it, but in total I have 16 targets for Respite. I run 14 creatures, 11 of which are GBs themselves, 2 Respite and 3 War Chariot.

It's rarely ever a dead card, it's just always a matter of deciding when the best time to play it is, because there's always the chance that you could send back two GB cards and draw three more cards that are just as, if not more so, useless in a given situation.
I'll wait for next format before I attempt to change my GB build.

speaking of next format...

Rescue Cat getting banned - yay or nay?

I'm pretty upset that Solemn Warning got boosted to Ultra Rare. I only plan on running one though so it's no big deal I guess.
