Actually, this end of Prospect is above ground. Confused Just wait outside the station, then.

taken with such grace
New York bladers, why can't you commit? Unhappy
Deikailo received a warning.
Why? Its been raining here practically every day for the past two months? Shes not a meteorologist.... If the weather guy said its gonna rain i would believe him too.

Because AFAIK the forecasts this morning were not predicting rain, and we have reason to believe she canceled the event for other reasons. Besides, previous rainy days mean nothing in terms of upcoming forecasts.

The NY community is truly, truly pathetic in its complete inability to get their stuff together. I'm absolutely disappointed.
Honestly with the way things are it might be in my best interest to not commit to any tourney at all and just show up if i can.
I was so suprised that out of all days it didnt rain today. Like Maz said its been raining everyday for awhile now and the forecast for the next week again is rain everyday.

Anubis where is Union Square? In a few weeks I could meet up, Ill be back from South Carollina by then
It isn't the NYC communitys fault for this decision
Don't place the blame on all of us because of this
While I realize half of us do suck when it comes to planning this wasn't our decision nor did we receive a warning in advance that it would be cancelled. I understand that it has been rainy FOREVERR and fears of continuing rain could have made this day go either way, but this is NOT our fault for the postponing. In fact I did not even know this was cancelled until a day before. I don't blame Dani, Evan, or even anyone for this, actually. While it was reckless of Dani to postpone it a day before the event, it has been raining constantly for over 2 weeks here in the city.

I honestly don't even know what else to say at this point. I was really looking forward to this, I really wanted to meet all of you guys, battle, chill a bit, hang loose and all that. But oh well /:
Djspida, you're not really in a place to say something like that considering your inactivity. I've been watching the NY community screw itself over for the past year or so now. Anubis is really the only one who's put in any effort to hold things together, by giving out Beyblades and even custom-painting them, with no financial assistance from the WBO. Meanwhile, people are constantly doing things like not showing up at all, complaining that they might have to spend time traveling, or doing rash things such as this.

This is a culmination of things and it's just absolutely ridiculous that none of you adults can organize a meeting. Dani is accountable for this event in particular, but the NY community as a whole is responsible for how everything has gone up till now. It's just ridiculous.

Why do people keep bringing this up as if it somehow has any relevance to how the weather will be? Isn't it less likely to rain if it's been raining constantly beforehand?
Your frustration is certainly warranted Brad, but honestly, if you were planning an event in Vancouver that was to be held outside and the forecast said it was going to rain, would you not postpone the event to another date? It does not matter if it had been raining constantly beforehand; it could just as easily continue to rain for that day. That being said, Dani should have canceled the event much sooner, but perhaps she wanted to see if the forecast would change.

The NY community certainly has had way too many problems trying to get things set up, but this time I do not think it is fair to blame anyone.
Okay, that makes sense at first, but...

She canceled a day before the event and did not send out a mass PM. I checked. Also, Deikailo did not specify a rain date. She didn't even post in this topic to notify. The only thing she did was send me a text to tell me the event was canceled and change the topic title.

I do not know if texts were sent out to other phones. My guess is no since Deikailo was asking people to get her number.

Also aside from everything else, we did have seven confirmed attendees for this event.

I'm not personally angry at Dani and I hope she realizes that, but I'm staff on this site and I had to do what I had to do.
@ Kei: The forecast was for sun though, wasn't it?
The next tournament in the NY/NJ area will be hosted and organized by me. The ones who were actually going to show up deserve at least that much. Keep watching
You're too kind Anubis. Really, I hope this doesn't happen again.....you've been very tolerant. Unhappy
