Just posting a thread about Digimon and Pokemon: Rivals in names
I like Digimon way better than Pokemon and that is a fact! Pokemon is alright but boring in the anime and it is full of plotholes like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Sailor Moon (ROSE!!) Yes, feel free to post your opinion!

And for manga: I'd say that they are equal but it depends on which pokemon manga it is...

tamers is a huge point of contention for digimon fans i think
personally it was my favourite series
Season 3 didnt make much sense. I liked the cards but what the hell was the d-reaper and stuff all about . When I was a kid, I was like: WHA???
But fusing with digimon is pretty awesome!
Gack! How dare you put Bo-Bobo on that list?? It has no plot holes, simply because it's meant to be a giant mess of plot holes, it cannot have any.
But that anime didn't make sense at all. My buds and I dont even consider it an anime. It had no storyline whatsoever.!
It has a great storyline, and the manga is better, like when Yami Yugi pops out of Bo-bobo's afro and summons Slifer the Sky Dragon, and don't get me started on Poppa Rocks being the heroine of the story!
OMG A yugioh reference. It is starting to sound like a weird abridged series.

Season 3 made sense, it actually had a far deeper plot than any of the previous series. Check out DIGIMON TAMERS RESOURCES:

Oh yes, I remember! It was apparently the darkest out of all the seasons (but id say either 4 or 5 would be) Leomon died (saddest scene ever)
Ive just noticed but at least one in every second season, Leomon dies.
I just didn't like 3 because it took 1&2 and said "Oh, that didn't REALLY happen". And on the Bo-bobo subject, Kazuki Takahashi actually drew Yami Yugi for use in that panel.

MFB is doing the same thing with the previous series ...
FYI, the "previous universe being a TV show" thing was only in the dub. In the original they don't reference the previous series.
I didn't like 4 because the main characters turned into the Digimon, and it got rid of the awesome theme song.
I'm not going to watch the MFB show anyway, just play with the toys.

I kinda meant a Leomon- For example:
season 4- Snowleomon dies by the hands of fire
And I think something happened in season 5 but i dont know if it was leomon.
And leomon died in the Digimon X-evolution movie. (1 more leomon dies)

Well Im gonna give some reasons as to why digimon is better than pokemon - (anime)
Digimon has no plotholes.
pokemon examples of plotholes: WATCH WTFP aka WTFPokemon
it has examples of everything that doesnt make sense.
Digimon can talk. (mewtwo and meowth can but they are not included)
Pokemon are named after what they say. If this made sense in the real world, we'd be calling a tree "...........whosh....".
Ash has never won a gym battle fair and square. [(I think)- by friend]
gym 1- super-charged Pikachu-cheating
gym2- saved their water pokemon- no battle
gym3- Got on it's tail - cant do that on the games
gym4- dressed up like a girl and save pokemon- no battles
gym 5- Haunter made Sabrina laugh which made her give the badge to Ash-What?
gym6- charmander's attack did damage whereas koga's attacks did nothing at all. NO STATUS EFFECT! and Fire spin is the weakest attack.
gym7. LAVA?! You would die! Even if you are a fire pokemon!
Gym8- VS team rocket themselves and not mewtwo
ALL THESE SO FAR ARE BY WTFP. except for the last two gyms

The pokemon games are great though.
That your argument is pretty much pointless. You can't apply the logic from Pokemon games to the anime; if you did the same for Digimon billions of loopholes would equally appear.

I think not as digimon was an anime before the games and pokemon was a game before the anime and the anime is based off the game. Digimon is not based off the game and if it was, it would make perfect sense as they do not defy their own rules (except for digivolving)

my favorite is beyblade and pokemon but I also like Battle B-Daman
