I applied for my first job at Subway. They were bombarded with applications so I most likely will not get it, but eh if I get called in for an interview I will be very happy!

Make yourself stand out from the crowd and use a Beyblade to slice the sandwiches.

I wouldn't actually be able to cut samdwhiches believe it or not until I'm 16 for safety reasons haha. Thankfully I only have like 3 months until then …

… woah 3 months .-.

we could get some insider information !

lol spying Eee
Haha hopefully! I can only work weekends if I get hired, so that puts me at a disadvantage, but I have decent work experience and something that sets me apart from other candidates (spinning top knowledge yo). Might ask about hosting a tournament through the store if I get the job.

If Dragoon GT can scar my hand, it can certainly cut a sub!

rofl I had this same issue when I tried to get a job at a supermarket... apparently people under 18 can't be trusted around box cutters. And I've been taking shop classes where I regularly use band saws and power tools since 7th grade... ...and still can't be trusted to not wound myself with a tiny knife? Wow.

Damn, my 17 years old brother got the same problem. He have to call someone 18+ to push the box cutter button, haha, really stupid.
If you play golf or tennis or something focused on Country Clubs get a job there. Get paid to give pointers to people. Get discounts on merchandise. Ride in a golf cart all the time. Surrounded by rich people all time. Amazing.

Hum, why when I read this I have Regular Show in mind ?...
Lol the golf cart reference maybe?
Today has just been a wreck. I had decided to watch some YouTube videos before doing my college work, and all of a sudden I looked up in time to watch the blue light from my webcam light up. Never in my life have I moved so fast, but I covered it with my thumb as quickly as I could as I began looking for something else to cover it with. I put a piece of thick, dark cloth over it and raced to my living room to unplug my modem, probably the smartest decision I have ever made.

Honestly, I was pretty scared. Was it a hacker or was it the NSA? Why would somebody even want to look through someone else's webcam and watch what they do in their private lives? Are they really that perverted? Luckily I covered it as soon as it turned on. Due to how fast I moved, I don't think they could have gotten a clear image of me.

I ended up backing up all of my manga, images and important files onto a thumb drive and restored my system back to factory settings, on the assumption that I may have been hit with a drive-by install. I called the FBI to report it, but that was a waste of my time. Apparently to report internet crime you have to go onto their website. You can't just call them like you do to report anything else/ I was pretty pissed. I explained to the women that my modem was unplugged, and I couldn't just plug it in because I was being hacked, to which she replied "I don't know anything about computers," rather than forwarding me to someone who actually specializes in that field. I was pretty pissed.

It may have been my fault, but I don't know. I was on a few fishy sites the other day, and my protection is expired so I might have been hit then. Turns out the protection I was using I can actually get for free through my internet provider, so I installed it after doing a system restore. After several hours of dealing with this, I finally did my English homework.

Moral of the story: Invasion of privacy isn't cool guys, especially when it keeps someone from doing their college work.
That must have been a scary experience. From what I know of, if your computer isn't protected, things like that happen all the time.

For once let's hope it was a virus and not someone actually hacking you. There are a lot of free antivirus/computer protection programs out there. You should definitely try some to be on the safe side.

I was actually using two freeware antivirus programs, but I guess they weren't actually very good. Like I said, I was using good, paid antivirus but it expired. Luckily, I can get it for free through my internet provider (I didn't know) It's installed now, so I guess I can rest easy.
Antispyware can't always prevent someone from spying through your webcam. I keep a post-it over mine just in case, especially depending on what I'm doing online. It's pretty scary, to be honest.
This is why I didn't bother getting a webcam..
I never thought something like that could happen.......If that happened to me I might have smashed the web cam.
Avast, Malwarebyte and McAffee are really good if you install both three on your system. It is barely impossible to "hack" you and if you got some viruses on your system, you just have to launch a scan and Avast will simply detect thems. McAffee is good for websites with popups and pubs, I think, and Malwarebyte is a backup to Avast and it add more security. This is the deadly combo.

Lol they can still spy on you through your microphone though, even if you have it disabled. Not much you can do to prevent that kind of thing.
This is why i dont leave webcams plugged in, anybody who has an xbox one is crazy imo, just having a webcam plugged in is one thing but a webcam thats always on is crazy

Also, I've heard about some not recommended websites that take pictures of you with your webcam and after post it on Internet. So, best way is simply to unplug it.
Just got a call back from Toys R Us to say that I got the job. If I can get any Beyblade information, I'll let you all know Wink
That's great The Supreme One ! It's my dream to work at Toys R Us and have reduction on Beyblades and informations about new arrivals Eee

I was using Avira and Malwarebytes. I don't really trust McAffee.

It's built into the laptop.

Yeah, I'll probably just tape something over it when I'm not using it.

Congrats! Enjoy the discounts Smile
I don't even know if I get discounts, but if I do, I'm going on a Beyblade shopping spree haha

Thanks @[Naijalak] and Beybouncer!
