If all goes according to plan (which seems a longshot), I might be going to DC for free! Which is lucky for me. If my partner and I win the Chicago Debate Championship, we'll be headed for DC for at least a week. Hopefully, that'll happen. That said, we kinda have to mow through a load of really good teams. (Though I won Debater of the Year in Chicago, I have zero tournament wins to my name. This will be hard.)

DC is amazing.

My class trip was a week there last year, I loved it.

Things to look forward to are definitely the Cherry Blossoms (if it's that time of year) and I personally loved the Smithsonians, my favorite being American History.
Yo, when you visit the Capitol Building, take my advice and skip the cafeteria. Getting a hot dog there costs like 20 bucks. XD

Get something to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe. That place is legit. Oh yah, and make sure you go to the Lincoln memorial and look carefully at the back of Honest Abe's head.

Good luck winning it. Wink
I'm going to attend Närcon 2014 in sweden this summer. Anyone else coming there? I would be intrested in playing some beyblade with other fans.
I started SATs today. No homework all week!!!
I was at the MaRS innovation center in Downtown Toronto today because I was invited to a Stem Cells seminar. It was wicked interesting!
The best part was that the daughter of one of the doctors in attendance actually decided to sit at our table through the whole 8 hour session and she had a great time too even though she literally understood nothing. We played hangman, a lot, maybe a little too much.

Also, today is the first day of my week long March break. Now is it really a break if I have three assignments to complete? Hmmm ...

Here are some photos from in and around the Queen's Park parliamentary buildings in Toronto.

Aaaaaaand my favorite street in the entire world:

I love the second to last picture!

Sounds like you had fun, it seems interesting (although that's kind of a subject I wouldn't be to interested in haha).

Thanks, I quite like that one too xD

Oooh boy, I sure did have fun. It was nice because it wasn't even just people giving speeches, flooding out information and the audience just listening. It was super engaging, with debates from highly distinguished individuals in their respective fields. Also, the audience was superb. It was mostly high-school students/undergrad that were either nominated or selected to go and that's why they were so enthusiastic and aaaaaaaah I wish I could just relive it.
So yesterday it was 55 degrees F (12.8 C for the rest of the world) and sunny. Today it's quite a ways below freezing, and there's such strong winds that the lamppost in my front yard is plastered in an inch and a half of snow on the north side only.

GO AWAY WINTER YOU ARE NO LONGER LOVED

Yeah, we had a high of 70 degrees F yesterday. Today it's below freezing, raining, and just a nasty day haha.
Yesterday it was around 55 degrees F here, now we have a couple inches of snow, haha.
Seasons seem to be blurring together like that. Start of Autumn here and most of the time you'd swear it was still summer. :\
Never in my life have I seen a fleet of 7 helicopters in midair, and I just did. One of the helicopters was an LAPD, two black helicopters, a red and white helicopter, (possibly Red Cross?) and they were going by my neighborhood really slowly. There was a fleet of 4 near the mountains, 3 of them were scattered around Downtown, they left though.
Someone at school told me that apparently there was a guy helping terrorists, planting bombs around my neighborhood... Seems pretty far fetched. Needless to say if that is true, I will fear for my life.
I've been pretty weary of Michael Bay's TMNT, especially when it was leaked they were originally going to be aliens. (shudders). I really love(d) TMNT and I actually really enjoy the new show from Nick- although my favorite would have to be the 2002 series.

Anyhow, the trailer description was leaked- if this is true, maybe I've misjudged the movie too soon.

Then again, the trailer to The Last Airbender looked decent, too...

If there were actually terrorists caught building bombs, it'd probably be all over the news, haha.
I just found out that there are 3 reasons why those helicopters were hovering around us. In Alhambra, a guy stole 100 computers (somehow) and was put in jail. Later this morning, he escaped the Twin Towers Correction Center. Another guy was this guy who threatened to shoot anyone on the street in Downtown, all because of 100 ReTweets. (Or RT for the diehard Tweeters.)
Gonna derail this current discussion Tongue_out

So I was thinking about doing a whole bunch of Stamina testing, as there's a TR145 vs ED145 debate going on over in the Limited discussion, but it takes FOREVER. So I thought "wait I have like seven years of robotics experience, just automate it, duh"

I also happen to have a fourth semester in my robotics class where I basically get to spend my time building whatever I feel like that has a quantifiable goal (e.g. it can be graded). I was planning on building a Segway-style thing I could ride on, but that probably wouldn't take much more than a month to do. Now I have a project idea for the second half of the quarter - automatic Beyblade testing machine.

Sounds crazy, but it could work.

EDIT: New page started, diversion complete XD
Nobody got hurt? That's good, but all that over tweets? Wow. Just wow.
Sorry Cake, your derailment attempt failed Tongue_out

See, this is why Twitter is stupid. Peple can become obsessed, people can be bullied 24/7, people can blow things out of proportion and take it into the real world.
Social media is overrated.

Anyway, glad no one was hurt.
If you meant to imply what I think you're implying, that's really offensive and deceitful. I hope that "Diversion Complete" doesn't mean what I think.
He was just shifting conversation...
Leaving now for colonial Williamsburg. See you guys. Smile

A whooooole weekend of Revolutionary War history.

Yippee.
I always loved Williamsburg field trips in school. Good times!

what is this i don't even

Seriously, I have no idea what you are talking about.

I was just trying to make a joke about the topic change Tongue_out
Joke or no joke, you shouldn't have make your "joke" seem like an insult. I guess this conversation will be taken to consideration for me to possibly leave this website, I'm not just possibly leaving because of you, it's many reasons centered around this website.
