A new Pokemon game! There's already a series called "Nobunaga's Ambition", but for now, this is what the name has been said to be.

This is what Wikipedia says about Nobunaga's Ambition:
Quote:Nobunaga’s Ambition is a series of turn-based grand strategy role-playing simulation video games, first released in 1983 by the Japanese video game developer Koei. Nobunaga’s Ambition takes place during the Sengoku period of feudal Japan. As the title suggests, the player is tasked with achieving the ultimate goal of warlord Oda Nobunaga: the conquest and unification of Japan. Selecting Oda Nobunaga is optional, however, as the player is also able to choose from a variety of other regional daimyos of the time.

So there's a good chance it'll be similar in terms of genre, except it'll be about Pokemon!

I think it relates more to the Mystery Dungeon series than the "stereotypical" Pokemon series. I was kind of bummed after I read about this on Serebii because I really wanted a RSE remake type game.
Hah, I saw this earlier and I'm still like "Wtf is this about?!"
Looks to be a spinoff though. Maybe a continuation of Dungeon games? Hell if I know.

It looks like it takes place in Feudal Japan? Considering I see samurai armor?
It appears to be.
I didn't see a single Pokeball in the whole video of the one I watched D:<

The addition of Mewtwo in the game is a mind****. Considering the description of it is : Mewtwo is one of the first Pokémon created by science. The scientists who created it dreamed of creating the world's strongest Pokémon. It is widely considered to be unique, due to the fact that only one was genetically created. However, this has yet to be fully confirmed.
LOL
>Mewtwo made in modern times
>Scientifically made
>it's in feudal Japan
ya done derp'd
Its a fanfic i tell ya a fan fic like Pokemon Reburst it makes no sense it won't be a good game i dunno
Found out about this game yesterday when it was announced. Saw the post on Crunchyroll and made a news update about it today on Otaku Space?

My thoughts: Using Pokémon to take over Japan? FREAKING EPIC!!! XD
I am going to get this no matter what. I've been waiting for a Pokémon game like this for SO long.
the game reminds me of a fusion of final fanasty tactics in pokemon form.
eh whatever when it comes out ll deff get it.
Yeah I get the same impression. The gameplay seems very much like a Pokemon Ranger or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon style though, so I'm not sure what to think of it yet.
Unless the gameplay is drawing circles or wandering around randomly generated dungeons, it is nothing like PR or PMD.

If it's a turn-based strategy game, it's probably tile-based(which it looks to be from screenshots), which means it is identical in basic concept to Final Fantasy Tactics/Disgaea, etc.

Pig disgusting.

Hm, gameplay looks a bit boring IMO. The concept is quite interesting, using Pokemon to take over Japan, but they could have done better game-playwise. Its turn-based, and reminiscent of stuff like mystery dungeon. I dunno.
What do you guys think of the gameplay type? It certainly is a step away from traditional Pokemon games and spinoffs.
When i first saw this, i thought it was pretty cool, because pokemon never fused with other games, ever! so, i'm somewhat looking froward to this. but the graphics are pretty bad though..
Oh my god!.......the characters look so animatedly-cheesy. Talk about 'soft' and 'hard' anime with pokemon. Expect Pokemon and arrow, net with arrow,Pokemon inside net and arrow, pokemon on a stone!(pokedex),pokemon with swords, pokemon wielding swords, pokemon with swords in them, pokemon with armor, pokemon in the summer!,...and..obliviation and love?! Makes me shudder.(Note :I hate Nobunaga after finding out that he's a decomposed pile of medals and is a sick beast inside.I also dislike the fact that he would probably take over TT)
Something tells me that there will be no "Pokemon with swords", ZERO. But I'm gonna stay optimistic about this one, which is WAY out of character for me. I actually like the artwork.
Haha, me too. I like to understand Japanese history,so this would be perfect!(Then again, I hope
I can beat the medals out of Nobunaga at te end. Old time-OOO's!)

Most Pokemon spin-off games suck, I don't suggest buying this unless you're a fan of both Pokemon and Nobunaga's Ambition.

I have thoroughly enjoyed nearly every Pokemon Spin-Off game.

Perhaps try not throwing your opinion out as if it is solid, or well-shared? It is certainly neither.
