I need help from anyone who has attended any cons (aiming towards anime conventions rather than sci fi). I'm doing an audience study for my final paper in my culture studies class which will be focusing on behaviors you see happening at conventions. Pretty much I just need your help listing other possible behaviors that I could write about in the paper.

So far I have:
-Cosplaying/Dressing up
-Attitude that Japan>Any other country
-Free hugs campaign
-"The game"

Is there any other notable behaviors that you guys have noticed?
- Yaoi fanservice (in cosplay)
- Yaoi fanservice (in bondage pants)
- Dealers' room gropers
- creepy cosplay photogs
- general otaku-trying-to-get-laid stuff
why don't you come to AN and find out
Thanks Annie!

I wish, but my dad bought my Florida ticket already Uncertain

nooooooooooooooo

you can still cancel it

tell him you need to go to AN for school!
Paper is due on Thursday though :p
edit: Maybe I can save up money and fly to Canada sometime in the summer... not the same as going to AN and meeting everyone, but I could probably say hi to you or something haha
why do you guys always say AN
AN=Anime North.
It's the location of BWR.
It's an acronym for Anime North.
Despite the different groups and ages, there is a general feeling of community and exceptance......

Oh and they like to take part in large kinda cult dances: hare hare yukai, caramell dansen, etc......

Confused
Haha I got the idea of acceptance which is part of my analysis.
I can add the dance parts though to the list. Thanks Rocky!

I think I have enough, so I shall lock this now. Again, thanks everyone!
