Holy carp, what is this I don't even. Kreis Cygnus BD145CS anyone? One disk is stationary, the other is free-spinning, lol.

Looking at Kreis' shape, now that it's free-spinning those protrusions would force the attackers to catch on and spin around it. The only thing that could fully destroy/attack it would be a direct attack straight down the center of the line from something like VariAres if that free-spinning gimmick is fully free-spinning (coughcoughScythecough)

Oh, and I'm totally getting this for my birthday.

So many free spinning parts are in circulation now (no pun intended) that attackers are going to be nearly useless. There will be so little recoil for smash attackers to work with that the only method of attacking will be to push a Beyblade out of the stadium, which is already hard to do.

I'm certain VariAres (right-spin) and Blitz will still neuter it.

Still so damn awesome.

Krei B:D should be so awesome.

or complete trash.

It seems that the PC Frame is stationary, allowing the MW to rotate.

And I thought Scythe was confusing at first Tongue_out
God i'd love to see some of you guys who are complaining so much be around in the plastics generation where parts were recoloured like 10 times because of the random boosters.
Except every plastic part except maybe Sharp Base is more interesting than 145WD.
Personally, I do not know if it is just his selection, but Phoenix inferno's drafts always have "See the [whatever] article" as if parts were constantly reused ... Even if they are more interesting, the repetition is still there.
Mmm, I guess plastics were pretty bad like that (especially early on), in retrospect. But... (145)WD comes on so many good beys, I think that is the thing. Plus, 145 isn't really useful, and WD is not quite what it used to be. And it's been ages since we've had anything new for tracks.

That said, maybe I am overreacting. At least it is not MW repetition.
The bey sounds welsh because of the Cyngus it reminds me of Cyrmu
This is going to be a major setback for attackers, because you cannot reduce your opponent's spin, no matter which spin you're using.

Cygnus was the Greek swan constellation, th!nk already outlined this earlier in the thread. And I'm pretty sure you can still reduce spin by using a destabilizer or similar.

Dear god, I just realized that Kai-V actually used 'trolling' in a sentence. Pinching_eyes_2
Unless there is 0 friction, any hit from a same spin bey will still reduce the hit. Honestly, with that much weight being "free spinning", I doubt it will be gamebreaking.

@Ga'hooleone

But you still can't do much, due to the free-spinning wheel. You'l just cause it to spin in the opposite direction you're in.
Anybody think about what will happen against left spinners?
@ Galaxy Jay

Since the wheel is free spinning, it will cause Cygnus to rotate right spin.

Anyone think this wheel may have low stamina due to the free-spinning part?

If only the Metal Frame is spinning, which Kai-V said, then from hitting it underneath you're attacking the PC piece, since it can only go so far inwards and TT probably didn't put bearings on the free-spinning part. It'll be like Scythe, only with the materials reversed and the shape more beneficial (and probably a lot heavier as well).
Yes, but left spin is not really used by anything notable right now (lightning is no longer useful, honestly). Variares can, but doesn't, and isn't spin locked. Unless LDG is great, it is little to worry about.
Kbuno, honestly, you have very little understanding of how this sort of thing works...
Okay now I'm interested.

LOLWTF IS GOIN ON IN THIS THREAD GUISE
This thing is going to bring back stamina types. Fo'sho. Attack's going to get a big bat to the face now..
Dammit. I already spent all of my money. Hmm January 1st? I bet I can get some cash then. Thanks for the photo Kai-V!
METAL BALL BEARINGS are the first thing that comes to mind. This one will be irritatingly painful to the ears if they don't have them.

...

and Ga'Hooleone: QFT

My thinking is that this significantly reduces the OHKO effect from the attackers with arm/wings. Instead of grabbing a "normal" bey and knocking it clear to other side of the room, a tangential hit from an attacker only serves to spin the outer wheel.

This puts additional premiums on the speed and weight of the attacker, and the skilled shot of the blader - something that is already in short supply. It occurs to me though that a tornado stalled MF-H Basalt BD145 CS would be exactly the kind of combo to do so...
Again, keep in mind, it won't be able to do this perfectly, unless the whole thing is mounted on ball bearings, as codeine extorts mentioned. It will help absorb it, but it won't negate it entirely.

That said, if it is low-friction, this will be a horror.

WD is still what it used to be, not sure what you're on about, ginger spice cake. BGrin is the "new warmness", but has very little actual use, and D still only suited to TH170 and friends. No other Stamina tips worth using have come out except EDS, which is only preferred on BD145 combos - and only Scythe does better on BD145 than on AD145/TH170.

Stamina is currently still dominating the metagame, Rai... that said, if this thing lives up to its hype, I will be switching to it as my mainstay, for sure.
I wouldn't say it's "dominating" but it's definitely good in the current metagame. I don't keep up with Stamina.. It's a shame really. I need to.
The metagame is currently in an equilibrium, I believe. Attack doesnt dominate, defense cant os alot, we're in pretty good shape.

10x Better than 8 months ago
No, it's dominating. We have more Stamina tournament places right now than anything else.

Phantom kind of ruined Christmas.
