It's been confirmed for release. Most of the original Soul Calibur characters have been confirmed for the game along with several new characters. Ezio from Assassin's Creed will be in it as a guest character. So, yeah, discuss.
Last I heard, the developers were interested in FF characters for guests. Assassin's Creed is a big step up from that IMO but I still can't say I actually care about that guest.
Oh well, the game certainly looks fun anyway, regardless of whether I like their choice of 3rd parties.
I think the guest stars are a really good way of attracting more people to become fans of Soul Calibur. I'm no Assassin's Creed fan yet I think Ezio will not only make a brilliant guest but will also attract AC fans to try out Soul Calibur. After all, Soul Calibur is an awesome game.
Yeah, I can understand that, as a dedicated Soul Calibur player, I am not really their target audience and you're right in thinking that he's a good choice to attract newcomers.
If it gets people I know into the game then I'll be happy but otherwise, it simply doesn't affect me.
What do you think of Viola? I'm expecting her to be majorly broken but a lot of fun to play as none the less.
She reminds me of Amy. They both have Amnesia which may hint that Viola is in fact Amy. But the whole magic ball and wolf thingy (Zwei's ability) seem too supernatural for Soul. Interesting nonetheless.
I don't know about Zwei but the ball seems in keeping with the whole soul wisp thing from SC3. I expect the ability to reliably hit in two zones at once (one with the ball, one regular) to be broken though.

i still think Dante needs to be in a SC game, even though I dont play Devil May Cry, or the game it was originally intended to be based off of, Resident Evil. He is a great character in MVC3 and quite frankly, is an absolute badass. Kratos should be brought back too, even though he was already in a SC game.

Kratos should NOT return because he doesn't make too much sense and he was just over-powered. He spins around and it hurts you... like wtf?
hell its better than star wars characters. krados is technicaly an immortal god, and he is a badass. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away doesnt justify yoda...but it was hilariously funny to piss off people and have bigger characters unable to use standard attacks...of course seigfried using his stompy kick attack was pretty cruel to yoda, considering it was like stepping on a bugger colored slug with a lightsaber....i never played the SC game with Krattos, but i did hear he was cheap....
i disagree about x-23. her style of attack is quick and powerful. her defense is only decent but overall she is decently balanced. i will admit that while wolverine is more powerful and has better defense, x-23 can run circles around him when it come to speed. wolverine's speed is only decent too.
Ezio is just amazing. according to Assassin's Creed canon, he is technicaly dead durring the time period of SCV, but a statement from SCV's creators said that with the "power of the animus" he could exist, which is total bs, but agian, better than star wars.
Nightmare and Seigfried are still seperate correct? It doesnt appear to be the case, and it looks as if Nightmare and Inferno are still one being. I wonder how he got back his original costume? Either way I am very happyone day i hope to get a SC game were all past characters are included. and with ther wii u coming into play, maybe we can see link agian... =D

I think 4's changes are appropriete. It shows how her split personality has progressed. besides, the more intesne insanity she has in 4 suits her better. her childish side is incredibly fcked up and a twisted version of child innocence, while her darker side is an extreme sadist 110% and incredibly depressing. Neither version of her now is like her before she was effected by soul edge, which empehises Soul edge's continued effect on her. And in Tira's case, more crazy = more sexy. Dont judge me, judge the producers. her joke weapon is a freakin hola-hoop...

Also, Cratos (the proper spelling of the God of War) was indeed cheap and annoying as hell.
Kratos may have angel wings like that jerk but atleast his primary fighting style doesn't involve knocking you down from a distance repeatedly like Cratos'.
EDIT: Ok, yes, I'm still sore about buying BD for Kratos and getting Cratos, so sue me.

i guess since ive played sc3 but not 4 i just prefer 3 and if you notice when she fight when she say thing during fight therir from both here personalityies like when she attacks she say 'lets play' and then other attatck she like 'something(can never hera it like omiba) and die so her two personality are show sorta

Both God of War and Tales of Symphonia spell the name the same way but I use the "C" to denote the god of war character since the original god the name comes from is spelt with a "C" and ToS Kratos has nothing to do with said god.

I prefer Amy to Raphael, and I liked Raphael better in 2 than 4. he is so much creepier now, like WTF hapened to him? Voldo is certiantly a creepy (but effective) guy, and Yun-Seong is a well balanced character with nothing overly special about him, which isnt bad though.

Being a Maxi/Yun-Seong/killik player...i like speed so I am hopeful for Ezio. I actually suck with femme characters because I am to distracted by.....them half the time.....lol anyway this will be a decent if not good buy.
