I cant remember, i think alot of people wouldnt be able to remember, but id have to say pokemon would be my best guess.

Speed Racer was the first anime I had ever seen; used to watch it when I was 6-8 years old. I didn't even know what anime was.
I only figured that out when Pokemon came around in 1998 (which takes the cake for first anime that I loved).
I think my first one was Pokemon but I didn't know anything about anime until I saw Naruto, which after that, I found out that pokemon was an anime which was a surprise.
Anoher one might have been Beyblade as well.
Escaflowne was the first anime i can remember ever watching and taking note that it was a special "anime" style.
first anime i ever watched was the original series of Gundam Wing, back in 95/96
there was something really old called sanshiro. anyone knows that?
First anime would be Monster Rancher though I only discovered what anime was after I'd watched Beyblade. First anime where I knew that what I was watching was an anime, was Inuyasha. ^^;
