In a very limited set of circumstances, a very few earth combos can beat 1 specific Basalt combo. Lets not overstate the case here... We can all check out the thread here for more info on what people are testing in these regards today:

With 1 week to go before the tournament, I want to encourage everyone to review the rules which can be found here:

It is every blader's responsibility to learn and know the rules before competing. The judges will be fair, but they will be fair while enforcing the rules.
A couple of things to pay attention to are the sections on early/late launching (rev-up launchers have trouble here), and changing beys between battles (when you switch opponents) but not between rounds (during a battle with the same opponent).
Questions about the rules should be researched first in the rules thread

Please do not post questions about the rules here - I watch the rules thread, so if you want to hear from me (as well as Kai-V, Kei and the rest of the committee who make the rules) that is the place to post.
