i think someone should create a face suggestion thread...this is because their's a lot of faces suggestion here..

about the ranking, i think it is good to have specific ranking at their country despite having the world wide ranking. this is because in my oppinion us members will know who are the top bladers for each country. this can help in further discuss regarding beyblades through PM to the bladers. this can also can lead to an invitation of a challenge to the top bladers. this can make beyblade in that country interesting. this also can ensure that a lot of tourneys be done to the specific country to achieve the number first rank...just my oppinion...Wink

then..it will be necessary to have somekind of WBO representative for each country to report or gather all information then..

well basically no. this is because we can send the reports of the outcome of the battle that've been held. technically, yes. because if the wbo do not trust the members that held the tournament, then it is necessary to have a wbo representative but it will be a lot because some states is big to be handled a lone. my siggestion is that we can just send the outcome report to the wbo. there's no need to be a representaive for each country.

Oh well, if I get confirmation for it to be deleted, I will delete it.

That is not a chatbox. It is also in a remote location.

Even BladeStorm does not know how to modify the system so that it divides people into countries. Since it is not even written anywhere what country they live in, it would not only require a lot of technical work to change the plugin, but it means that we would manually have to move people into different groups based on countries, which, in itself, is difficult to really imagine. Moreover, what would happen when people actually cross borders to go to another country's tournaments, like with Anime North ?

Well, it kind of is a chat group, not a chatbox.

So it can stay ?
It is not on the WBO so I think there wont be any problem with it staying..isnt it?

Um, why don't we just make it compulsory for new users to add their country name in their location? I mean, when they are registering, they must at least put their country there....
I don't really know how all that works, but I think it'll be simple, as most sites where registration is required, have that Drop Down List when they ask us to fill in our location.
But Janstarblast there are so many users already registered who haven't given theor country's name in the details...what about those hundreds or so who never uploaded details about their own country?..It wud be very tough to make out their country and then give them ranks
yes samkul95, it's tough. it needs a lot of cooperation between both the mods and the members. it is worthwhile for the job. although i know nothing about networking and stuff which is not my major but i'll try my best to help out for this if the mods needs a hand. yes, there is pros and cons of this but there's more pros than cons.

kai-v: if the participants attends the tournament at other country it is the same, this is because the points are calculating with the same method(i don't really know how the points thing works but it's surely is same throughout). even if the person enters a tournament like AN, the points given and ranking are the same. this is because there is a different ranking that is world ranking and state ranking. by this we can also held a tournament battle of the champions where all the no 1 rank in the particular state can battle to test their power. just my opinion, XD

Things such has "hi" can only be exchanged via pm's so i guess it's perfectly alright..You can't say hi in a particular thread..That's one of the major uses of pm's..And people who pm you "hi" might be new members who are wanting help, you see..It doesn't "harm" to help others out..
(Jun. 04, 2011  8:51 AM)SAMKUL95 Wrote: [ -> ]Yes..I know two members from Pune whom I didnt know had lots of doubts regarding beyblade which was started with their pm of 'hi' and ended with something like 'ok'. But it didnt take much of time because their doubts were small in comparison to those I asked to Kai-V..and it kept them from spamming the WBO..so it is better if u use PMs for saying hi..for new members at least

Well apparently the of the people that have been PMing me "hi" have been on the WBO longer that me, and after saying that "hi" don't start any conversation of any sort...

Well all you can do is ignore them...Basically everything has two sides just like the two sides of a coin...The good side and the bad side...But since the advantages seems to prevail over the disadvantages we use such a feature..Moreover replacing the pm with something like a chatbox doesn't seem to be a good idea, IMO..All we can do is ignore such silly pm's..I recently got a PM where the other person asked me if I wanted to battle him..I asked him where he was living and i didn't get any response from him...Ya such things does happen..Just ignore them like we always do...Wink
well I think the site is great as it is but ithink there can be a couple of improvoments, these things have probably been listed already but:
1. a chat room not like the one above but more like the one on facebook where you can just have it at the bottom of the page
2. a little noise that pops up when you have a new pm
3. you dont have to reload the page to find out that you have a pm
4. its really annoying how everything I post comes out double

Chat room ? Uh ... http://xat.com/WBO.

If you double post try clearing your browsers cache or there might be an error ?

Also here is a suggestion. When people open a new signature and avatar shop then can they hire people for help but if they want to be hired they need to tell their experience with signature etc. and need to give some examples ?

Well I second that idea..It is good to hear a sound when we receive a pm and there is no reason to reload the page to see that pm....Actually that is a great idea..This is just my opinion...I'm sure it would be hard to implement it..But this is just an option..

That is because you are using Internet Explorer 9.
oh, is there any way to do it normaly (other han using another browser)?

If you just used another browser, then no.

Dude, Google Chrome is too easy to download these days... I think that is the best browser, so please make it a point to download it. IE is not as good as it was before.....
as th!nk said, a "police" face and committee, basically a group of super online (not AFK) members that scour the forum, reporting "bad" posts and helping clean the WBO Smile yeah, kind of like what th!nk said

If all users reported "bad" posts when they saw them, it'd be fine, there really shouldn't be a need for a committee, as all users should be doing their part already :0

well this is a bad idea . if a face like it comes so the members will try to report everything so that they can get the police face and lots of reports will come to mods they r so busy in maintaining posts and threads and reading so many pm's and above all they will gonna get 100's of reports so indirectly it will affect maintainance of the site and dude moderators might have issued this face but i think they approve a face only when they think it don't have negative effects so this is a bad idea according to me
Already covered that. It's no problem for other sites, and mods complain people don't report enough here. Obviously, as has been said, anyone abusing the report function would get warned. I doubt it'd be a real issue as most people are too scared/lazy to use it right now anyway.
I just woke up today and two of the three reported posts I saw were posts that were at least a month old, and one of them was even already warned ...
