"Active" is something different to judge, as we cannot judge if you have not been active only at the beginning, and then one year later. We do not look at everybody's profile everyday or even every week or month.
This probably has been posted before, but I don't want to dig around.

There should be a thumbs up or thumbs down for posts similar to YouTube where you thumbs up or thumbs down a comment.
yeah and a "Like" feature like the one on facebook
We already tried both of those, and as you can see the idea was rejected after a while because it is not used anymore. I do not know exactly what the reason behind that removal was, but it must be valid.
Maybe an alternate colour scheme, like how this one is blue and based on Pegasis and is blue, the other one could be based on L-Drago and be purple or red, maybe it could be an Easter egg, you could enter the Konami code to get it or something like that.
Spell Check. I think I've seen it implemented in forums before. It'd make things a bit simpler. Sure, everyone should have one already, but as we can see, people don't. Preferably one that makes spelling errors stand out.

SajjanSV: That would take some work, I think Kai-V and Co. are already pretty busy as is to do something that unnecessary and time consuming.
The passing on of the ownership of a thread which requires the OP to be used. So when a person leaves the WBO but someone still works for the thread they can take it over (eg. Team Threads or the Poke-Fusion Lab).

As can be seen from a lot of posters on this forum, apparently people are using horrid browsers that don't have it, or even better ignore it. A grammar check, if it could be implemented, would make life for a lot of us a little easier.

Yes I agree, it will also reduce the amount of "wat", "cuz", "c" even though I use "cuz" sometimes myself...

how about face for someone who had been online for some period of time..like 2 weeks or 3 weeks...about pruductivity...
maybe fuse up with number of good posts posted..
example:
a person who had been online for two weeks with 400 good posts get a face..
I think if a person is active for long enough he can make at least 1000 good posts in that period(an year maybe)..so there wont be a need for a special face of active members..because only active members can go up to 1000 posts to get antique face isnt it?
can you please add a rule about inappropriate photos, cus people like Rup123 have been posting some manky pics, and can you add a loyalty face that people can get if they were part of the wbo for 5 years(or more), and also can we have something that deletes the second post if it has been double posted
That is already obviously against the rules... That's WHY they're doing it. Do you honestly think that by "making it" against the rules, that they'd be like "Oh no we're breaking the rules, we should stop"?
What magical planet of wonderment and insanity do you live on?

New Thing: Instant Warnings for stupid recommendations in "Build Me A Combo". Honestly, if these people don't know what the hell they're talking about, they should not post, and wait for someone who does know to post. I'm sick of having to go through, and tell people to ignore others Recommendations, and hoping that they haven't already read the bad recommendations and started using S tips on stuff. Uncertain

i agree with that to a degree

there is already a rule like that

Quote:PROHIBITED TOPICS

Sexual discussion
i am pretty sure that the rule i bolded covers inappropriate photos
I mean, simple mistakes are obviously understandable. If someone, say, misses a part the person has, and recommends a weaker part, it's understandable, especially if people don't bother to list all the parts they have, just the beys they own. If a combo is relatively new and the person misses recommending it, that's understandable, I guess.
Still, the point is that people shouldn't be making recommendations if they don't have a proper understanding of the game. There are plenty of us who do, and people's questions will be answered in due course (it really doesn't take long).

A "combo suggester certification" thing would be far too much work, but a simple warning for recommending when you clearly shouldn't be sounds completely reasonable. Sure, me/others yelling at people is normally just as effective, but it doesn't address the initial aspect that people still recommend things when they shouldn't, and it's a pain in the butt for those who have to yell.

It's misleading people, and as an official body, we should be aiming to avoid that where possible.
(May. 26, 2011  8:22 PM)th!nk Wrote: [ -> ]I mean, simple mistakes are obviously understandable. If someone, say, misses a part the person has

i agree with that, i myself have done that

when a person says a combo like killer wolf M145S (or something like that), then is the time to warn IMO
EDIT: This was made in the heat of the moment. If it seems rude, just remember the context Smile

New suggestion:
A rule that mods/committee members have to follow rules, especially the ones about being polite to other members.

You know, just in case anyone decided to abuse their power like that. Sure, I can understand delivering a sufficient Iceburn to people who are making stupid posts and such, that's fine (and hilarious). I'm sure you can understand the difference between the two.

That face wouldn't mean anything as you could just leave a window with the WBO on it on your computer and let it sit for weeks...

but how can the post can be determine to be good? is it the thread or the post? if the post than it is hard to know whether it is good or not. how about a face that will be give to what the members have contributed?. meaning to say that a face is like a token of appreciation to the post that helps others? just a suggestion though. if i say something wrong, i'm sorry.
You automatically log out after 5min...

@th!nk
I've seen <3 do an Iceburn I commented, and he added an Iceburn because I posted something worthy of a Iceburn

Warnings for useless smilies. I've seen TOO MANY Smilies on this forum. None of them burning bright...

Maybe a face for not getting a warning in a whole year? That would really be an incentive to spammers to not spam and spam... The loyalty face?

I see the point of the active face, but there is A LOT of ways to get around doing good posts for 2-3 weeks:
Ex.: People make suggestions, that person just has to respond to that agreeing and, tada, you do that for 2-weeks and you get that face.

I think we already have a face for people who help others...

The antique face is for 1000 good post......
