That's a great idea, however it just wouldn't work.
why? SPAM? and there should be a Movie Editing thread too, like the GFX and writing threads
No, just the fact that if you take two graphics makers and put them in the same shop, people will obviously request from the better one. That would eventually lead to jealousy between members, and we already have enough disputes already. It would be best if everyone kept their own separate threads probably. You may reply saying something like "What about double sig shops that people run?" Well they knowingly are working on them together/don't mind having to share. Imagine something like that all in one thread. And who would be the OP? Kai-V? She would have to update the thread constantly about the people who make the GFX most likely for reqs.

It just wouldn't work.
That will totally be like the request thread Speechless
Which died, by the way. Eh, I think that tournaments should have one thread for announcements, and one for the matches. Like this:

Round One: So-So vs. Whoever
[Story]

[Story]

Round One: Other Guy vs. Meh
[story]...and so on. Then, have everyone vote on all of the matches at once, so the "Go vote for this on another thread!" doesn't happen when someone wins. It'll take some work, but it's definitely possible.

Actually, if there could be one topic for a whole round, and people vote for everything all at once, that would probably be better. Once the round is over, another thread is opened for the next round.
That would make sense, but wouldn't it be hard to keep track of votes and for people to vote? Imagine how many stories the OP would contain, and how would all of the voting not get messy? "I vote for entry 2 of battle 1, entry 1 of battle 2, entry 2 of battle 3..." all with reasoning, times at least 5. I like the idea, but it certainly would get messy...
Maybe we will use the Poll function for that matter, yes?
Well as amatter, I find it quite painful to get warned. Well, I think the warning must keep goo on so people do not make bad posts. A;though it is harsh for me Unhappy especially permanent one
There is a new(old) issue I'd like to bring up, that I've been seeing a large amount of recently.

People are STILL complaining, in manners ranging from whiny to belligerent, about name changes to Beyblades. I have begun reporting every single post I see like this(though not retroactively, to prevent causing a headache) - I would really like to see some kind of disciplinary action being taken about this now. It's reached a point of nonsensical frequency, it's SPAM - and whining. Two bad tastes that taste awful together.

I understand that people are entitled to voicing their opinions, but it's borderline grief-inducing. It's a complaint about something stupid to begin with, and this forum is not a venting outlet for pointless things, last I checked.
A public announcement would need to be made if we're to begin warning for it, though I agree we should (though, a little joke here and there about some of the stranger choices (twisted tempo, eg), when they are first discovered is understandable and IMO fine).

As much as it's just a "clarification" of the no spam rule, given how widespread it is, it'd need to be "publicised".

We managed to do it for combo nicknames, so we should be able to for pointless whining about name changes? Tongue_out
Popping out of nowhere here; some people are elite and have at least some license to be condescending and judgemental, but not overly so. I mean, honestly, some people just suck really bad at Beyblade.
Hahah well that's true, but that doesn't mean we can't teach them to be better! Babies aren't born smart, they have to be taught and need to learn in order to become smarter. Sure, they may suck, buy they can always improve Joyful_2

Just want to say I agree with this, but the reason that this topic was created was because there was some crazy arguments going on that were really harsh, not just some feelings hurt, haha.

You used the Word of the Week!<---Off Topic

I have to agree with you there, Hazel. Really, who cares what Hasbro calls it? It isn't like they can magically stop us from saying "Basa-Twisted Tempo". Wait, what just happened?!

I am also fed up with the new "writers" here, who can't take criticism. I know that Kai-V just posted on one new story, but I think we need something more. At times, their posts resemble those of trolls, and mesa no likey trolls. If they continue to post rude things about the critics, after a mod posts, are they warned?
basically, in the creations forum, People seems to just "comment" on the stories, GFX's, and the likes. they never "help" them in any way.

I think 50% of the WBO are Takara users who don't understand why Hasbro changes the Bey's name Speechless

It's more like 70% of the WBO are japanophiles without any real sense of scale, depth, or marketing realism.

Japanese Idolization is going to be found on any message board with so many young teens, especially when it's about a series promoted by an anime, but I really wish people would become more educated before proverbially swearing to die defending the honor of a company just because of its location - a location in a country they know nothing about except "ANIME! ROBOTS! ROBOT ANIME!".

Then again, asking people to educate themselves seems too great a task no matter the target demographic.
I hear you Hazel, and I can also relate. When I was a young teen I was a huge Robotech fan. If there had been a world robotech organization website, I totally would have trolled the boards extolling the virtues of MECHA! ANIME! MECHA! MINMEI!

As annoying as it might be sometimes (and it is annoying) it helps me to remember that part of the process of creating a sense of self at that age is identifying with a group. And if they say the same things as other people it makes them feel more connected. Unfortunately that leaves the rest of us reverberating in an echo chamber of carp...

Oh, and did I mention that I wanted to have blue hair more badly than anything in the world? My parents put the kibosh on that one at the time, but I held onto the dream until I got to college - and then it was on! (For like a week anyway) Smile
Not really, most of the userbase are kids who lack access to TT beys, it's just those of us able and dedicated enough to get stuff from japan are more "prolific".

The funny thing is, however, that even the Hasbro-only Bladers, by and large, tout the endless undying virtues of TT, using thin excuses and veiled attempts at covering for their primary motive being that TT is Japanese, and Hasbro is not.

The agegroup most prominent in the WBO is the agegroup most often found pledging loyalty to Japan's imaginary superiority because they make cool toys and neat cartoons. If any one of them knew the actualities of Japanese society, economy, or the truth behind the larger portion of funding for many of these things, it would be like throwing a bull through a stained glass house. However, that is beyond this discussion.

While this behavior is understandable given the internet culture effect, it DOES have a negative repercussion in the form of constant Hasbro bashing, which usually revolves entirely around namechanges. Yes, the stadium problem is obvious and many of their exclusive launcher products are worthless, but they also released the good launcher grips - so I'm not sure of the complaint, there.

Regardless, it's getting to be quite disruptive lately, and that was my entire point.
You can't make every single new member know that it's not acceptable to go around bashing around Hasbro.
I did it before, hell, almost everyone has. It's really a problem that CANNOT be solved.

You can't stop it from happening, but you can prevent it from becoming disruptive through more proactive measures of discipline for it. Deleting posts alone would pretty much solve the problem I have outlined. Warning repeat-offenders would slim it down drastically, as well.

There's no cure, but there is a treatment.
Actually, from what I have seen, the largest dissatisfaction is the fact hasbro releases everything a long time after TT. I can see why from their perspective, this would be a reasonable belief.

To be honest, though, I don't think it's the hugest problem, unless it has flared up more since I began visiting left, it was mainly localised to the hasbro release thread...

Dissatisfaction with releases/impatience is much more understandable, though, than straight up temper flares over meaningless name changes and them releasing products you won't buy anyway. Regardless, anything disruptive should be dealt with.

I only really mentioned it because in the last couple of weeks I've seen a huge spike in the number of name change complaints - and the complaint posts are just a complaint and some stupid comment directed at Hasbro, typically. It just kind of ended in pointing out a larger issue. I will admit to having ranted a bit, but it did not seem to be particularly detracting from my overall point.
Which I've seen maybe 2 or less posts about name changes in the past 3 weeks.

Nah.

I can absolutely promise you there have been considerably more than that. However, I believe a few may have been deleted by now.
