Well, it's that time again, folks. Another writing tournament! Only, this one will be a little different that what you're used to.

1. To avoid all of that carp about people not doing the work like they were supposed to, you will have a specific date to have them in by. Every day after then that you don't hand it in, you will start with one less vote (If you hand it in a day late, you start with -1 votes. 2 days, -2, etc.). If after 5 days you don't have it in you will automatically be disqualified.

2, I'm going to enter this one! Should be a blast!

3. This one WILL NOT have to be about beyblades. You can if you'd like, but it stretches your creativity to come up with your own idea.

4. Same as last time with each entry being a chapter in the story with a topic I choose, but for each time you PM the new entry to me, also include your previous ones. This will make it easier for me to keep track of them, because I am going to include the whole story for every battle. I'm doing this because I've had some complaints *cough cough, Temporal, cough cough* about the chapters not making sense without the story.

5. As you may have noticed, this will be a tag team tournament! You'll need a partner to participate, and to sign up I will need a PM from both you and your partner saying that you two are going to pair up. How you want to work together (Someone edits, you switch writing every battle...) and how you communicate (PM's, Microsoft messenger...) is totally up to you.

This is a very unique tournament and should prove to be a lot of fun. Good luck to all competitors and may the best writer win!

OK, I think we're all done with the first round! Therefore-LET'S START ROUND 2!

The theme is: A SURPRISING TWIST!

The match-ups are:
In the winners bracket:
Team 1: Sparta and DrigerMV Vs. Team 4: NoodooSoup and Mr. N!
Team 2: Temporal and Nwolf Vs. Team 7: TITAN and SwiftShadow!
The losers bracket:
Team 6: Sonicsora123 and RowDog Vs. Team 3: SDamonCronous and Aura!
Team 8: DeX and Shockcaleum Vs. Team 5: 天翔翼 TenshouYoku and BeybladerPotter!

All entries must be in by the 20th, and all rounds will end regardless of score on Halloween (Spooky...for those of you that don't celebrate Halloween, it's the 31st of October).

BEGIN!
HEY! You're making me sound like a whiny douche, hah. Ah well. I'm pretty excited to see you entering. Well, methinks you already know who I'm tagged with.
I'm really excited! I sent you the PM about my partner.
You did that exactly right! THANK HARUHI!
I don't quite understand the rules. When we PM you about who are partner is, do you then PM us what our topic is? Or do we choose our own topic? Also, how do you suggest we find a partner? Because I really don't know anyone, and I am pretty sure Kai-V won't accept me making a thread about finding a partner for this...
I've joined. Hopefully I'll do better this time than the last, I'm gonna win!
Hmm... I also don't really know people well enough on the WBO to partner up with them. Also, people could just make a second account and say that that 'person' edits. Not that I would, just saying. So I'd love to enter, I just need to find a partner...

Why even bother having this rule? I thought you should just get rid of it and make it a short story were everything must be explained in the one chapter which is possible. If a voter misses a couple of rounds they may not be bothered catching up on 3 chapters and you might not even get enough votes. It would be easier just doing a short story.
I will try to join, although my word is.....
I'll try to join...now to find a partner.
NVM....Found one.
Now I'm teamed with someone, but try guessing Who Is He.

Ahem. I'll correct the gender ambiguousness later. Uncertain
That's Okay to be ambiguous.

Anyway I think that 'has to be related to beyblade' should be present.
it says it doesn't have to, which does confuse me, and my best work has been beystories, but i guess it's all about originality
I've already got my partner and he's pretty good!
OK, I'll post the participants in the OP.

By the way, Rowdog, she doesn't have another partner. I never got a PM from her Uncertain.
You got my PM right?

If you are referring me to signing you up, then yes. Otherwise, I didn't.

Because, a page does nothing. You can't get ANY character development done.
@ Temporal a successful short story can be done and you can put in good dialogue, description and character development. In the Grand Final of the last tournament I thought Control did that beautifully. Plus it may sound impossible for you but just because it is hard doesn't mean you can't put in good character development.

She told me she got someone else. :\
Erm, I never said I couldn't do it, I meant that you can't do it in the same way you can with chapters. Besides, this way there is more coherency between chapters, not a jumbled, argument-filled, misunderstanding-laden mess like aforementioned Grand Final, which, by the way, hasn't been finished.
Can you change the "SDamonCronous and BurnBlader" to "SDamonCronous and Aura"?

You kinda did but it doesn't matter, we can do chapters. This is going to be much harder though when working with 2 people because different writing techniques and ideas could potentially ruin a story from bouncing between the two styles each chapter.

A good partnership will find a blanche between the two. Yes it will be hard but that is part of the fun. Plus, you get to experience working with someone who may have a completely different writing style and format than you. It is a learning experience and a bit of fun, I personally am looking forward to working with Aura.
Well, now that the first tournament is over, I can stop biting off all of my nails, hah.
RowDog: Mistyped my point. Meant to say that you can't really get a feel for the character in one page. Well, ot everyone can, at least.

I agree with SDC. If you can't find a way to balance the two styles, you'll exit early.
