#17 Starter Dragoon Grip Attacker

Its wide rubber tip makes the Blade base one of the only two top tier attack bases. The base is light since it has no spin gear which combined with the wide rubber tip gives it tremendous speed. Unfortunately the downside of not having a spin gear is that its right spin only. It’s very hard to find due to being one of the earliest releases and a high amount of demand for it as the base is top tier. If you find a good condition one or a boxed one for a good price you should buy it.

Metal dragoon Bearing Stinger is while not essential is a very worthwhile purchase. As it is 4 layers series the bearing core as a whole can’t be transferred but you can transfer the shaft. This means however that you must have either Wolborg’s or Burning Kerberous’s SGs to use it. In terms of stamina it is best but it has trouble with some stamina combos.
Unlike bearing core, MDBS has more pure survival potential. Also, bearing base can hold 2 shield bearings so when hit, the BB doesn’t take as much damage..

Whilst Draciel S is a better option in pure defence, Draciel MBD outshines its upgrade in compact combination. The small size of the metal ball base gives high spin velocity and fitting the criteria perfectly.

Storm Grip Base combines a soft, flat rubber tip, low height and light weight to a great effect, being arguably the best base to use for Upper Attack Customs. Due to the soft rubber wearing out, it is advised to buy multiples of this Beyblade. Additionally, this Beyblade includes Left SG Castings, which has many uses in Zombie/Survival combinations.

This should be a main priority for all bladers. Tiger Defencer is arguably one of the most useful Plastic series attack ring created, having top tier usage in every type, apart from Attack. SG flat base, when launched straight can even outlast Wolborg’s bearing core; when launched on a slant, it acts as aggressively, similar to SG Metal Flat 2.

This is a great purchase for attack and defence enthusiastic. Upper dragon is the best attack ring for Upper Attack, due to the long slopes. Furthermore, it is one of the best Attack Rings for weight based defence, due to the heavy weight and circular shape. It’s advised to own more than own of this due to its many uses. Alternatively, Master Dragoon may also be purchased; being an identical release, with the only notable difference being that it is released in white.

This is a great purchase for all bladers. Firstly, the SG castings can hold Driger F's tip which allows it to be used in a great smash attack custom. When the base is used in conjunction with Driger S’ AR and Wide Survivor it creates a brilliant zombie combo which is able to outlast anything. This is able because the SG has a bearing and the base has the best LAD of any plastic base essentially. The only downside is that it moves like an attack type and is very light so a substantial hit can easily knock it out.
Spoiler (Click to View)
The AR is very similar in performance to Driger S’ AR, in that it’s top tier for 2/3 types. The AR is made up of two parts with the second being a free spinning part. War Lion is able to reduce damage to the Beyblades spin, the S-AR often absorbing the hit, rather than the AR itself. The base is less useful however with only some good but not top tier compact uses.

While considered outclassed by Burning Kerberous , it is a cheaper and much more easy to find option. The SG is the only real reason to own this Beyblade. It's a good part to own in a zombie custom, as the bearings reduce the loss of spin when hit. It is advised to buy the Takara version due to the more pointed tip and increased aggression.
Spoiler (Click to View)
SG metal ball is a great part for defence type Beyblades. The tip tends to stay towards the centre of the arena, easily avoids attack types. By adding an extra set off metal balls and a HMC, metal ball base is one of the most popular bases for defence, due to its excessive weight and lack of recoil- not to mention its ability to be able to avoid attack types.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Trygle’s AR (Triple Wing) is top tier for smash attack types in right spin. It has three protrusions which provide good smash attack and is completely devoid of recoil which is amazing since essentially every other AR for smash attack has at least some recoil. If buying an AR for smash attack either buy this (Trygle) or Griffolyon as both are equally good..
Spoiler (Click to View)
Driger F is a great choice for Attack type customs, the flat metal tip provides aggressive speeds , when used with Dranzer S' castings and SG defence grip 2, it is amongst the best Attack type customs available. Additionally, being metal, it has increased survival capabilities than other rubber tips that are available.
Spoiler (Click to View)
This is a great Beyblade to own for defence enthusiasts. SG bearing core version 2, being made of rubber, increases friction between the tip and the stadium, making it much more difficult to KO than its predecessor. It’s also advised to own multiples off this Beyblade as the rubber tip wears over time.
In addition, the Base has uses in zombie Customs, having some degree of LAD and also Attack type customs, making it priority Beyblade to buy.

Dragoon V2 is one of the most useful buys created. Customise base can be used in multiple ways; with the removal of the tip, you can use a bearing core in the BB, opening up several option for its use.
Dragoon V2 is widely considered to the most competitive Base to use in Attack customs, barring perhaps Uriel 2. Customise Grip Base is generally as aggressive as other notable Dragoon Bases, such as Storm Base, although is much wider and made of a harder rubber. What makes it notable among these numerous bases is that it can hold a SP, drastically increasing the amount combinations that this Beyblade can support. One notable Offensive combination that this Bast supports is the use of the Dark series support part and Driger G’s AR.
Perhaps a more notable use for Dragoon V2 is that, with the legitimate removal of the tip, Dragoon V2’s BB can support Bearing cores. This allows Customise Grip Base to be used in Zombie and Defence customizations. Overall, this is one of the single most useful Beyblades.

Driger V2 is a must purchase for Upper Attack enthusiasts. This Beyblade is widely considered to be the best Beyblade uncustomized. The Attack Ring, when used with the support part generates massive Upper Attack potential. Furthermore, the Base is considered an upgrade to Driger S’ Metal Change base, being able to hold a SP.

Voltaic Ape contains one of the most useful parts required to be successful in plastics, its SP Defence Ring. The Support part has found use in for all types of playing, being considerably heavy and circular for a SP. Additionally, the small Knobs placed equidistant on the SP lend themselves well to spin stealing.

Gaia dragoon V's SG Metal Flat Base 2 is one of the best BB for attack. It utilizes metal tip, rather than a rubber tip. This results in slower movement, but increased survival capabilities. Overall, this definitely warrant a purchased, for more balanced offensive customizations. Additionally, this Beyblade is much cheaper

Firstly, the AR, Cross Dranzer, can be utilized for some degree of upper attack usage however it should be noted that both upper dragon and triangle wing have superior Upper Attack. The SP is vital to both survival and defence types. The 4 “knobs†lend themselves extremely useful to spin stealing and due to the circular shape, is a decent defensive part.

Burning Kerberous’ Bearing Core 2 is one of the best survival parts created, it can hold 2 NSK bearings so when hit, it can regain balance easily because of this. The core has very high endurance when shot straight and can even out spin Wolborg's bearing core. Furthermore, Burning Kerberous Shaft can now hold Uriel 2’s Rubber Tip, allowing massive offensive potential when utilized correctly.

Draciel V2 is worthwhile purchase for the SP, Fin Tector. In attack mode, Fin Tector has the best smash when compared with all the other SP.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Uriel 2's BB is the fastest and strongest BB for attack created. The tip is made of rubber and around the width of grip flat core (ultimate version). However, the BB is prone to breaking- suffering from Gold Plastic Syndrome, additionally the rubber is quick to wear down, and is very hard to find as it released in a random booster. However, this can be rectified by using the rubber tip in Uriel 2 and placing it in Burning Keberous shaft. This drastically minimises breakage..

Whilst the rest of the Beyblade is neglected, Eight Spiker has the best smash for left spin attackers. Unlike a lot of useful AR's this is by far the easiest to obtain, and the most affordable.
Spoiler (Click to View)
Driger G's Triple Tiger has both good Smash and Upper Attack. Whilst it's Smash doesn't compare to Trygle's, nor its Upper compare to Upper Dragon, it cannot be argued the AR is still one of the strongest and is a worthwhile purchase.

Metal Driger is one of the best Beyblades to purchase for attack and defence. The prized part of this Beyblade is undoubtedly the Heavy Metal Core (HMC). The advantages of using this in attack are that it significantly reduces recoil; for defence it increases weight, making ti harder to KO. It is advised to buy multiples of this Beyblade.
Important note: Hasbro released this Beyblade without a HMC and replaced it with a EG, rendering this Bey useless.

Long considered useless, Wolborg 4 BB and Engine Gear has found use as being one of the best bases to use in defensive and stamina customs. Its heavy weight and Engine Gear allow it both too take hits, and out spin numerous Beyblades. Furthermore, the BB is considered a Zombie Killer making Wolborg 4 a worthy purchase.

Zeus: There are 2 moulds: one Takara, one Hasbro. The Hasbro one, comes with a normal EG. The Takara one comes with a free shaft bearing core.
Its AR+S-AR works incredibly well due to the fact that is a free movement AR! Furthermore, the use of the Sub Attack Ring with another Attack Ring, able to hold a Sub Attack Ring, holds it in place, giving it huge attack power.

Three were released in random boosters and two with the Japanese release of the DVD. The SP in each of the dark series lend themselves useful to defensive customs and offensive customs, as they have good synergy with infamous AR’s such as Triple Wing and Triple Tiger.

The AR of this Beyblade is the best for zombie types. Unfortunately it’s quite rare since it was only released through random boosters. While Metal Dranzer is a much cheaper alternative, Gabriel is preferred for a purely Zombie Combination.

Wide defence is the most useful weight disc available for attack. The indents create smash attack, unlike any other weight disc, making it a great purchase. Also it is the heaviest Weight Disk, so makes a good choice for defence customs
Spoiler (Click to View)
Wide survivor is a completely circular weight disc, ideal for stamina customs. Whilst it may seem quite costly for a weight disc, it is incredibly useful, and far outclasses all other Weight Disks in stamina customizations.

A-93 BeyStadium Attack Type (Tornado Type)
[spoiler]While this is the best stadium for plastics it is in the recommended section because on the whole BB-10 is equal and anyone that plays with MFB will have that anyway meaning that for most players you don’t need to buy it at all.
This is possibly the most balanced stadium ever created. For testing or battling competitively, this is the best stadium to buy. One of the only downsides however is the thin nature of the plastic the stadium is made of. The stadium can easily crack when accosted by an attack type. While the stadium used to be quite rare it is in Sonokong sets available on eBay. As stated above however BB-10 is equally good although with some minor differences, being that B-10 is more KO friendly, due to the smaller surface area of the arena but if you want a stadium just for plastics then buy this one.

Bearing Gyros AR – This is an AR from a Beyblade called Bearing Gyros (three variations of which were released) where the AR is the only usable part for battling. In the past if was said to be the best AR for zombie types. However recent testing found it to be highly overrated. Tiger Defenser, Scissor attacker and Twin Horn all outclass it. Furthermore the aforementioned three are all much easier to find than Bearing Gyros. As such there is no reason to purchase one barring collection purposes.
