So because I don't have a scanner and need to use paint, I have less of a chance of winning? :V

Alright, I'll do my best anyways.
It depends on how well and how creatively you do it on paint.
yeah, i want to see you're work!

Yes, do your best. We cannot even say that the winners will necessarily have drawn entries, because there are a lot of varying factors outside of the medium used.
ok, this may sound like a stupid question but when u say "space theme" you mean that it preferably has a star constellation in mind.... correct? or something similar to that? i have my beyblade idea and design thought out.... but when i checked up on the thread and noticed that "space theme" was in bold, it got me nervous that the whole blade had to be "space themed" (meaning the metal wheel too)..... but if the metal wheel doesn't have to be space themed, then that at least gives me one less thing to worry about... i already know that the name has to be space themed... sorta...i was being too crazy with mine during the black out (which gave me a lot of time to think) but after applying aerodynamics and the realism in physics... i realized that my original design was just being too silly. idk... this is just me blabbering about what i had to go through to get my design... but yeah, my stuff should be up in a few days.... i just need someone to answer my "space theme" question. =)

You could draw the beyblade then take a photo of it and put it on your computer then online. I am going to take a picture of my bey using my laptop's camera.

I think just the facebolt and energy ring need to be space themed, if not I'm screwed.

not all the time. my entry has a galactus/drago wheel, and my clearwheel and Facebolt is drago/galactus

well my beys all space based i guess, but only the AR actually is related to space, but the bit-beast is a sapce bird...

I don't think it will matter if it's partially space related...

how about taking pictures of your drawings and edit them a bit to make it better..?
thats ok i think..
Most of it should be space-themed, but as you know, TAKARA-TOMY makes Metal Wheels that barely look like anything these days. For instance, Rock Escolpio ? How does Rock have anything to do with Escolpio ?
scorpions live on rocks? i don't know, but i'm still impressed with the pictures and designs on here!
I was referring to its design, not the name ...
oh sorry Kai, now i feel a bit embarassed. anyway seems people aren't as motivated for this competition as for the other ones we've had...
Well..we may not have seen everyone's work..most of the people may give excellent last-minute entries..like DrIgErGT did in the video contest and also you,RowDog,Janstarblast,me,Sky Prince,etc..are yet to submit their entries and so are most others of whom many may not have even posted in this thread before

aww, and i'm not included on that list? i practically do art for a living. T.T i even do beyblade drawing vids on youtube (skyxprince).... bah, doesn't matter i'll have my design up as soon as i finish the finishing sketches today.

thanks kai-v. at least that confirms the answers i've been getting from people who were just throwing guesses (not that they were not good guesses... i just wanted to hear it straight from kai-v).
heres my entry, i don't have any proper paper left to draw my bey fully completed, i hope this doesn't deplete from the score:

Saturnian Turbo

saturnian turbo AR:

saturnian turbo weight disk:

saturnian turbo engine gear:

saturnian turbo blade base:

saturnian turbo in action (anime) sorry for the bad pictures of the next, I could only hand draw these, and not colour them in as i've been I don't have any crayons, and i didn't want to wreck the actual drawings:

saturnian (bit beast):

saturnian launcher:

genesis flare special move (anime):

Saturnian turbo draft

saturnian rings

this attack ring has 3 main components, these are:

the main AR

central ring and the outer ring. these rings are on a central pivot attached to the main AR, these rings can pivot from 150 degrees to 200 degrees because of this the main AR never gets hit by any bey, and the rings protect it from head on attacks. this is an OK AR, but if the bey wobbles to much then the rings will scrape the stadium floor.

balance disk 9

this bey part is like ten heavy, however in all the corners there is a ball bearing in a hole. you can remove these ball bearings by splitting the weight disk in the centre along the dividing line, then removing the ball bearings and putting the disk together. This part can be used in some combos, however uncustomized with saturnian this part has no use.

turbo engine gear

this is the main special part of saturnian T. this has the effect of an engine gear ( increased spin speed, better performance) however you can wind the hand on the top of the core while holding down the trigger switch this is a timer, so after you launch the bey the timer counts down and as soon as the hand hits the trigger switch the engine gear is activated. this is probably the most important part of the bey. it has a very good effect and can be the decider of a battle.

wobble balance BB

this part has a rounded base, but the BB has a tip similar to WD but made of metal, this base is good if used properly, however it is very hard to master as if the bey wobbles too much with saturnian rings then the bey will self KO.

overall

this bey is made up of generally good parts, however can be beaten by some attack combos, and can be outspun. the main part of this bey is the turbo engine gear, which every blader should have! the AR is fun to play with, and this bey is an overall good buy, however it is a very hard bey to master, and if launched incorrectly is easy to knock out. altogehter this bey is a reasonable bey which is good uncustomized, every blader should own a saturnian T.

sorry if this isn't any good guys, i spent alot of time on it, and i don't have any colouring penicls, and my photocopier has been screwing up alot recently, well thats my entry!
oh no part of it isn't working! can i please edit it so that my pics work!
I have personally edited your post so we could have the direct URLs to copy and paste into our browser's address bar.

A question though : compared to Metal Fight Beyblade, what would you say is the height of the Blade Base ?
hhhm, if i had to say probably 180, possibly lower, i thought it would be better if it was taller so that the giant rings wouldn't touch the floor as easily, thinking in real life terms
Nice job Nwolf it looks wicked. I'm starting to have doubts now but I am still happy with my bey and I'm just about to scan it.
this is probably a stupid question but can the beyblade have the ability to spin both left and right spin despite the fact that it's shape is asymmetrical (take for EXAMPLE, u have blitz unicorno and grant it the ability to spin left)... and i only said blitz unicorno because it's the only blade my design looks closest to..... i'm saying this because i was planning on making my design have a left and right spin and its shape makes it in attack mode in right spin but defense in left spin.... and as kai-v has said in the OP "Originality: Try to think outside of the box and use ideas that haven't been used in Beyblade yet!" but pretty much, i was aiming for the originality aspect... i'd prefer that only kai-v answered my question but u'r free to bring up your assumptions if left & right spin to asymmetrical blades is allowed.... i only made this public to see if it might spark any ideas for anyone.
I had thought about it long ago(I mean as soon as the contests started) but I felt that since I dont really know how a bey would function in left and right differently..I dropped the idea..but if you can describe it well then IMO u are free to do so..because Gravity isnt symettrical as well..is it? but it exhibits both left & right spin attack well.

Also Sky Prince I've added u to the list XD

as you were saying? lol XD
and this is what i mean by asymmetrical:
http://i54.tinypic.com/2gv5wdi.png
meaning if u fold it in half, is it the same (in reference to the shape of the metal wheel)
umm so i am entered Grin but i still dont get wat i need to do Uncertain

did you read the opening? all u gotta do is come up with a beyblade design. it's facebolt, metal wheel, weight disk, attack ring (or whatever generation beyblade ur designing) and draw each part individually and give a decent description of it and what's so unique about it. not to forget that the beyblade needs to be space themed (example: saturn, jupiter, galaxy, andromeda, star, etc.)
(Sep. 01, 2011  7:21 AM)Whatzzer Wrote: [ -> ]LOL.That looks like a beat Lynx.Just to me though,but not on others opinion.Just the CW and MW.

It does, quite; only because of the color. Though it looks like it has been photo-shopped, but I actually drew the shape (since I couldn't do it in Photoshop), and did the texture.

The shape of the CW is not much original, but it blends in with the MW.
