The graphics battle idea has spread like wildfire, and many people as I type are submitting entries and new contests. I really wanted to enter, but I have no artistic talent whatsoever. So then it hit me "Graphics battle? What about a writing battle?"

In a WBO writing battle, participants will decide on a scene or event, and will have to write a short paragraph or 2 describing the specified scene or event.

The rules:

1. Each battle must have its' own thread, and participants cannot vote

2. battles will be won by the most amount of votes for an entry.

3. Each battle cannot involve more than 10 people, as more would get messy

4. Each battle must specify in the opening post what the challenge is, and the entries.

5. Voters will vote in the thread (duh)

6. Participants cannot post the entries

7. When the entries are posted, usernames will not be given. They will be labeled by the entry number.

Discuss and decide on battles in this thread.

As an aside note, Deikailo, I'd really like to challenge you Joyful_2
Oh, no one likes the idea? Well, I tried...
Hmmm......I don't mind making a challenge.....A BOY WALKING THROUGH A FOREST

Who accepts?

TeeHee

.....no offense or anything, but that's a little lame Tired

Then again, it's something. I accept.
Hah. I made a thread like this on my site yesterday before I deleted the forums. Hrm... I want to take on someone. I'll write anything. I don't like setting terms, so if anyone has a battle that interests me, I'm in.
I Guess I'm in it will help me practice for my Story.
I love writing, behind game design, my passion is writing. I will enter soon.
So? Who's got a challenge for me! In fact, how about this:
Challenge:
Thirteen year-old boy comes into terms with moving to a new town, but can't because he's afraid to try anything that's outside of his comfort zone, which is non-existent.

3 days to finish
Whoever gets to ten votes first.
At least 4 paragraphs
Grammar counts
Spelling counts

That's a little complex. Try to make it more general so the competitors have more places to go with it.
Ah, my bad. If anyone wants to come up with something, say so. I tend to lean towards complicated plots.

How about you just shorten it to "Person just moved-how does he feel? 1st person perspective ONLY"???
How about a writing battle about a blader-boy who is abducted by aliens?
-Describe condition before abduction briefly
-Boy is entrusted with a special Beyblade (you choose)
-Boy has a brief beybattle
-Cliffhanger End

CONDITIONS:
-First Person
-5 Paragraphs or less
-Dialouge aloud (not counted as own paragraph)

Just a thought.
CyberBlader27, I accept, lets go

Woah, that's still a little complex. No one will know what you're talking about. How about you describe an alien abduction, just in general? No beys or complicated twists.
what?! no using beyblades in the stories?!
(Jun. 26, 2011  3:47 PM)Izuma Inzori Wrote: [ -> ]what?! no using beyblades in the stories?!

Only if that's part of the scene. But an alien abduction with beys? That's a little far-fetched, if you ask me...
Fine Sparta... I saw this topic and that was a random idea that my head just spat out...
But I'm glad it was accepted! Cute
Then denied to be beyful... Unhappy
So... 'Alien Abduction Writing Battle' ?

If the aliens capture the boy using beys. TEEHEE!
Making the thread/topic/whatever now!

Ok. Since I wont be in this competition, I'll make the thread and host the battle.
Oop, I already made the thread, but when people finish, the stories will be sent to you I guess...
That okay?
Sorry, I'm bad with hosting battles...
Made some changes to the rules. Also, if you want to make a battle you HAVE to post in this thread first. You can't just go out and make one, it has to be approved first!
Can you accept my YGO battle?

YGO based.

Also, can the starter enter? YES

Now you can make the thread.
Thanks for helping me out with that! 1-2 long paragraphs, like 7-8 sentences, right?
Instead of doing the basic "Entry 1", "Entry 2" format, why not color coat each different entry, so when you see them all, it'll be way easier to distinguish and it won't look like a huge wall of text. Like this:

And so I wrote a story and I was assigned the color blue.

And then I wrote a story, submitted it for a contest, and was given the color red.
How about Describing a beyblade?

Rules:
Not less than 100 words
