Stunning 3D looks join froces to create the newest and latest Mario game for Nintendo. At E3, Nintendo announces the new Mario game coming for the 3DS. It looks amazing. Also, the game does bring back great memories like the Tanooki suit.

and new mario
looks like a fuison of sm3 and galaxy.looks real fun.it should have been a launch title but cant always get what you hope for.
I can't wait for this new game to exit. I left all the Mario series after Mario 64. I got bored of 2D side scrolling, and add some only played Mario Galaxy, despite the Galaxy game was really good, I just do not have time to play through much of it.

Sorry about the necro, but this game's official name is Super Mario 3D Land and it will be released in November.
Super Mario 3D Land is a terrrrrrrrible title.
They couldn't thought of a better name than Super Mario 3D Land? Ha there is a raccoon suit. I'll probably get this, I liked Super Mario Bros Wii.
Even 'Super Mario 3DS' sounds better than 'Super Mario 3D Land'. That doesn't even sound correct when you say it; wouldn't 'Super Mario Land 3D' sound much better?
Yeah, the name sounds like a Japanese-to-English translation gone wrong. Definitely picking this up along with Ocarina 3D in November.
Hm, the concept of being in a "3D Land", as the title implies, does not seem that awkward to me ...
To me "3D Land" implies it'll be a full-on 3D platformer like Mario 64. However, from the media we've seen, the game appears to try to be combining both 2D, and 3D platforming, so "Super Mario Land 3D" - which denotes it being a "coming at your face" 3D display feels more natural.
Also, their previous title, "Super Mario Land" makes me think this is some sort of sequel to it. And in sequels, the addition, in this case the "3D", would come after the title. You wouldn't see Toy 3 Story, would you?

I wish they would just do an actual Mario 3D platformer for 3DS - I know it's classic, nostalgic or whatever, but on-the-rails Mario is really dull in comparison to full on, 3D exploring in the same vein as SM64 and Sunshine. Even Galaxy has certain dictated pathways which just ruins the experience, in my opinion.
The thing is, the 3D Mario games sell "poorly" (relative terms here) compared to the 2D ones. They've been trying to bridge the gap between sales with 2D/3D hybrid games.

Both interesting and surprising; mine is just a personal preference then, it seems.
This game will be good. And I like the fact that there is going to be a Zelda - themed level to celebrate Zelda's 25th Anniversary, Mario style! Although the title seems a little overly awkward, really.
