ONE PIECE
ONE PIECE
Whether you like it in English (Funimation), or Japanese, you cannot deny the fact that this is probably one of the five best Anime/Manga ever.
(Note: After you read the first sentence, read the first "Click to View" notice.)
One Piece follows the epic adventures of a 17 year-old boy named Luffy, or Monkey D. Luffy, who raising a crew of pirates in order to become King of the Pirates.
Luffy, however, ate thing known as a Devil Fruit. Each a Devil Fruit gives the user a special ability.
Luffy ate the Devil fruit known as the "Gomu gomu no Mi", or in english "Gum Gum-Fruit" (Rubber Rubber Fruit), which gave him a stretchy, indestructible rubber-like body.
Throwing bullets at him or even throwing explosives at him will give him rarely any damage at all. The only way to kill him is by slashing him with a strong knife or sword.
So far, in the Anime, there have been 5 Sagas, while in the Manga, there have been 6 Sagas.
"So come aboard, and bring along, all your hopes and dreams! Together we, will find everything, that we're looking for! ONE PIECE!!!"

One important reason why this Manga/Anime is very popular despite its 12 year run is because they somewhat got away from the Pirate King thing. They included more subject matter, and overall a more dramatic tone even before leading up to when Luffy's brother died.
