For those who don't what cosplay is...
Cosplay, short for "costume play," is a type of performance art in which participants make and don costumes and accessories to represent a specific character or idea. Characters are usually drawn from popular Japanese fiction (anime, manga, movie, etc.) but recent trends have included popular American fiction as well.

If you could cosplay as any character, who would you be?
Also, if you have cosplayed, feel free to discuss them and even post pictures

i guess you can say i cosplay as my character lol, but if i had to i was thinking about actually cosplaying as gil from pandora hearts for my sister. other than that i just dress up for fun!

I could probably cosplay as Light Yagami from Death Note. What do you think Kanato Dolsin? I could probably pull it off.

I MADE MY OWN CLOAK LOLZ that made it even more awsome (to bad my sword broke on the day i cosplayed lol)

well not counting dressing up as Godzilla 98 and omnimon i never cosplayed but i want to SO bad.

My first costume idea is to dress up as one of my original monsters though there so many to choose its gonna be hard. Then theres a cosplay i wanna do in which i cosplay as an orginal character i made up "blader man" heh be careful wbo you MIGHT see him at a tournament one day. anyway if anyone can give tips how to make a good kaiju costume pm me k?

I managed to cosplay as teen Gohan. He is short im short it all works out. I had a after effect battle and my friend was dressed up as Bojack. We had a Beam struggle and one of my taller friends dressed up as Goku came up behind me and shot another beam to end the video.

Kumoricon 2011 is in Vancouver, that's where I'm going. you should come! It's at the end of the summer.
Seattle? I might once I get my license. I've heard of it, and I've wanted to go for some time now. It's much bigger then Kumoricon.

OH it's in Vancouver washington, not bc, got it confused with Tsukinocon.
And Kumori isn't likely for me this year, I prefer focusing on larger cons/ones that are pretty much just a way for me to get a cheap hotel room and chill with friends for three days.

@ AnnieDuck Hey EBK took your picture. I'm actually a really good friend his. That guy goes to every con in the nation! LOL Well, not every con but most of the major ones.

Future cosplays I wish to get done is Jade from Mortal Kombat and I have Jaycee from Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in the works. I like to cosplay video game characters rather than anime. As much as I attend anime cons I don't watch a whole lot of anime haha.

quite honestly the best con iv been to and cosplayed at was yaoi con. you have to be 18 or older to go but it was fantasic, turns out if you buy one of the guys there at auction you are admitted to alot of parties. its really cool. other than that one i say fanime, its a pretty awsome con.

I've always had my sights on cosplaying anji from guilty gear. But ehhh never got around to it. I go to otakon every year and it gets worse and worse each time. Even though it's one of the largest on the east coast, i think that its size is its downfall.

Plus chicks wearing stuff they shouldn't be...plenty of that. x.x

I just need to touch it up a little. I would also need to buy clothes that Light wears. He wears everyday stuff, it shouldn't be hard.

I would be Madara Uchiha, Neji, Cole MacGrath, or Bey Brad.

Never done it before, Buuuuut.... If I Could SOMEHOW get back to my less-bulky state, I would probably try something. Because we all know how scary those bulky ones in non-bulky character outfits look.

Then again... I can always go for something like Benkei.... nah....

I am going to debut my Jaycee costume at Yaoi-con!! It's going to be cold but idc. Gotta tough it out haha.

awsome, are you going all weekend or just a day. and what are you going to be cosplaying as? you might see me around carring a dead fox...........cant garentee fox color though it changes. though im always in some weird "vampire" ish victorian lotlitaish cloths. i will have my beys as well though. just in caseses!

I would only cosplay as Blader DJ at this point, notably because I host/judge a lot of events.

I'll be in lolita for two of the days (pirate and haven't decided yet), and then Rin Tohsaka from Fate/Stay night with an Archer, and possibly Daria if I can pull the rest of that together in time.

Jaycee looks hot. Can't wait to play her. I hope she has some sweet tag combos with king, my main. New screen shots look nice.

well, your not the only noob at this, ive done cosplay as ginka and a few others, but other than that I suck at this, but, i have done a really good cosplay of myself, well the anime version NOT THE MINECRAFT VERSION, I am the blader with the legendary bey of time (weeellll it's custom made with a 3D printer that prints things out of metal) but i have done cosplay of a creeper and a few other minecraft mobs, and a cosplay of Skydoesminecraft (aka king of budder)
