Well, this thread is for discussing how you play handball. For those who don't know, handball is made up of a bouncy ball, four small rectangular courts and 4 or more people. Most kids in Australia would have played it. Maybe others though...
I think you're referring to 4-Square, at least that's what I call it.
I always intercept the ball and slam it in another person's square.
Oh 4 square in thet case I spin it backwards with one hand it just bounces in the same spot and I make it look loke I am going to slam it
Hmmm... There are quite a few names for it, though I call it handball. My friends all go for low sneaky shots & being tall & lanky I always miss them. I bounce the ball heaps high so they have to look directly into the sun & so they miss it. It's a great way to stop someone making a low shot & it bounces over short peoples heads.
Yeah I play it at my school.
It's quite fun and how do you name your squares ours are Ace,King,Queen and Dunce.

Our squares are King, Queen, Jack & Dunce.
We name the Square Ace, King, Queen, Jack.
We also have names for all the different moves like if you throw it at their shoe it's called a Shoe-Shiner.
Cherry Bombs are when you grab the ball, back up a lot, run forward, and slam the ball a long ways away.

Yeah, same here. We have Ace Kings Queens Dunce. When we get out from Ace, we have old Ace. Basically serve it to yourself in any way. I just hate the moderately fast low shots. I find it hard to hit those... I can defend against any powershot. But the are hard. I have this move when people powershot to me when I'm in Ace and I discharge, as I call it to kings. I just move my hand a bit and hit the ball. It only works by chance though..

When I went to middle school, everything felt familiar, but the rules weren't exactly the same, and there were only four squares. I was always the best in the entire school, from year six onwards. I made up several different new shots, and performed alot of sweepers. hey ooked like they were rolling, but bouncing
I have very fond memories of this game
We wouldplay 2v 2 and I would bounce it to my friend the he would throw it into the air. In mid air I would catch it and slam it into one of the other team's squares.
My school is pretty different, We use racket balls, we don't use squares, we let the ball bounce once before it hits the wall, and we have an order when to hit the ball, and there's many rules, and ways to get "out". We would always make different moves.
When I was in a New Zealand Christian school I played hand ball with tennis balls.
Once I was playing and was going head to head against the "king position" and the "king" hit it low into my square which was directly under the king position it was mid bounce on the first bounce and i dove and hit it back into his square scraping my hand but knocking him out from the king square, lol.
We used to have this emo who played handball with us. Well he wasn't actually an emo but he would always dive for the ball even though it wasn't necessary. He would be covered in scrapes at the end of lunch.
I like hitting the ball with my feet. You can get a lot more power than any other power shot. You can get a lot more spin by rolling it off the top of your foot. And you can get it a lot lower than usual. There's a lot of advantages. I pwn all my friends but the high shots like RowDog mentioned I have to hit with my hands. But it can take a long time to get use to.
I find it impossible to hit the ball with my foot. I sometimes play mini man, where you squat down and play like that.
I hate this Game with a Passion. I also hate the Kids who play it at my School........
But how do you guys found bouncing a ball amusing?
Its just my Opinion of Course. Looks like some of you Guys like it alot.

i was pro now i hate it and every 1 in my school and my old school who plays it i used to smash the **** out of the ball and i owned every1

Till I got to high school
I used to play 6 to 8 square
I was master at kicks and style
But when kicks, heads and bodys were banned I kinda sucked
My special move back then was Green Lantern
At my school we call it 4 sqaure and it's king,queen,jack,dunce. I always seem to win maybe because I do skimmers and we also play body parts only so your not aloud to use your hand. 2v2 is sometimes played and my friend and i always go teamwork and assists so it's really fun. But when we just play 1v1 i normally make my opponent run for it so yeah

Its Not a bouncing ball it's a game. You don't just sit there and bounce a ball.

It needs skill, control and balance...
It makes you sweat.
It is competitive.
It is everything.
IT IS MORE THAN STANDING THERE BOUNCING A BALL.
