ANKHHHH <3

I've perfected that style once or twice in my life since OOO's debut. But mostly by accident. Other styles I've been working on is this:

Oh Masaki Suda, you are just wonderful...

Edit:
I've also been using hairclips like how Masaki Suda as Kamen Rider W's Philip (link) does to keep a part of my hair back instead of letting it fall forward. But I hide the clips with some hair on the parting that falls downward instead of back. Never used the clips with hair styling products before, though.
I do not really do much with my hair, but if I let it grow long enough, I can just put on a fedora and sunglasses, and BAM. instant blues brother
Picked up some Gatsby Hair Wax today, so tomorrow, I'll be doing some mondo experimentation.
the less you use, the better.
Well, after trying on this experiment, i realize that front-long-hair style is not for me when it comes to Gatsby (totally didn't mean to make that rhyme). My nose is constantly being tickled, and gets itchy for some reason. Plus, my hair is too curly for the bangs, as momotaros inputted in the picture thread. I'm gonna need to practice some more with this...

BUT THIS WASN'T A WASTE OF $10!! XD
Got hair cut yesterday. Back is a bit shorter than I wanted but otherwise I like it.

Personally, I like getting my hair cut shorter than I want it to because it grows in nicer...or at least for me it does.
I used to have my hair cut like that. If I cut my hair, I always ask to keep the front of my hair longer than the back so it looks somewhat neater. SOMEWHAT neater. Just two more months, and I've hit the year point since the last time I cut my hair to a straight-up buzzcut (around July or so, requirement for work). Maybe I'll get my hair cut again, but i gotta know the place my mom and sister gets their hair done...

Also, what brand of hair spray do you guys recommend?
I personally liked you hair better when it was long but it doesnt look bad their.

Miracle 10 is good and Redken is pretty beast.
I find it very difficult to use Gatsby for hair.
I mean, the wax is good and all, but after a short while, it leaves your hair dry looking.
Well besides the Cool Wet one...
I've been using the Screaming Hold spray, works much better haha.
Screaming Hold and Redken, right? I'm thinking of trying to "spike" my hair using the Gatsby, and since it's long, it's probably gonna look HORRENDOUSLY huge. It's a sort of experiment I'd like to try out. I think someone (may have been Brad or momiji momotaros) said to use a hair straightner/straight iron to help straighten, and then spike the hair, right?
Flip your head down and blow dry and straighten your hair like that. When I had 4-5 inch hair, if I ever did that, I could get it to stand straight up.

If you're spiking it, you could just use glue? You're from New Jersey, you should know to use glue for spiking hair, lol
what's up with all the mullets here? lol

this is how i cut and TRY to style my hair:

usually end up failing though, i only get a "perfect result" like once each week lol, but it still looks okay regardless

To be honest it looks good with "shaggy" hair and adequate length on the sides. But "mullet" on short hair just looks stupid. But that's just my opinion.

lolwut? I don't use glue or gel because it always hardens when my hair decides to go all Son Goku on me. I prefer something that holds, but can still move around than just being stuff like a unicorn's horn that can skewer fishes (saw a commercial like that, was laughing SO hard).

I'm cutting my hair in the back tomorrow, though. Haven't done that style in two years, but I like it. I'll cut the front a LITTLE bit, but the back is gonna be way shorter than that. Afterwards, I'm gonna keep experimenting with the new Gatsby stuff I bought.

REALLY considering to dye my hair again, though...
The amount of effort I put into my hair is pretty much nil.
I have an amazing hairdresser though, so I don't have to do anything to it to make it look awesome. Grin

Kaji, for spikes(as in, big ones) I'd wash my hair without conditioner, and after put some gatsby(I also put some hairspray) into my hair before I blowdry upside down.

Straighten your hair if necessary.

After, if it's puffy, get to teasing it all into a massive birdnest(well, when doing this tease the approximate places you want your spikes) then use a bit of gatsby for definition.

Then the actual styling starts:

Just alternate between using the straightener to mold spikes, and using a bit more hairspray and gatsby for hold and definition, respectively.

Do this for a while and eventually you'll end up with incredibly spiky hair, that will be pretty damaged if you don't condition and use treatment the next day or so, hah.

I used to spike mine nigh on everyday, so.

: The hairdresser did a great job on your fringe, your hairstyle suits you well.

: Hairdresser's make a massive difference IMO. A good stylist can make a dodgy haircut look good, but with a good haircut anyone can make it look great.

@SK: You'd hate the left side of my hair hah, my mullet rests on my shoulders slightly.
WAIT ACTUALLY
sometimes i straighten my bangs when i want to bring out the angle they were cut at :V
Hey AnnieDuck, since you said you don't really do much to your hair,in your photos does your hair naturally go into those curls? That'd be pretty amazing.
Well I dry my hair off & i use a hair dryer for 10 min to get it puffed up. And then i used some spray like Aussie!

That would be a wig.
My actual hair hits the bottom of my shoulder blades, is straight, and dyed red. Like in the photos from the concert that I posted.
Cut my hair today. Picture is in the Picture Thread. From tomorrow on, the REAL styling begins (my hair sucked when I tried to use Gatsby on it lol).

That sounds about right, since I was thinking about that. Materials mostly, not method.
Do you think it can help me make this kind of hairstyle/cosplay? (Click to View)

Also, straightening balm is NOT straightener, right? When you guys say straightener, I keep thinking of that instead of a straightening iron (if this is what you're referring to).
When I first saw this I thought what has the world come too.

Oh well, may as well put in my input.
I wash my hair every morning (besides weekends because I am too lazy to have a shower in the morning and sleep in instead so I have it at night) than I get out and rub it crazily which spikes it all up. I have long blonde hair and I go for the surfy look even though I have never surfed (besides surfing the web) but I do go down to the beach quite often still because its just across the road.
