My son is into BeyBlades. I've bought more than I want to admit...

They are standard Beys you can find here in the US at Walmart, etc. Nothing special.

I'm getting tired of them breaking though. I had originally posted on the customization thread but they sent me over here.

I'm looking for replacement parts, primarily the bottom part of the bey. They keep cracking. Two that we just got broke within two days. He's not rough on them either like some of the kids at school - he uses them in his arena's only.

Is there a way for me to replace these parts - he wants to keep authentic Bey's, but honestly I don't care what they are replaced with and if they are custom parts, etc.

Suggestions appreciated.
Please enable your pm as I have lots of replacement parts
Enabled. Sorry, thought I had that turned on... Smile
The two right now that I'm trying to find replacement bottoms for I think are Aquario (Green BeyBlade) and Saggitario (Says SGTO on the top) and is orange. I'm sure others are going to break as well... They break in the same manner too apparently from looking at them...

Is there a better bottom that can be bought that isn't this hard plastic that keeps snapping? Keep in mind that this is for a 6 year old, so I'm looking for something a little tougher, not necessarily the most expensive customization to win Smile
I"m going to do all of you a huge favor. Go to toywiz.com for hybrid wheel beyblades, replacement parts 99.99% of them, japanese beys+accesories, metal fight, rare beys, original beyblade, etc.... You can thank me later.
All different colors too.
Build your own beyblade app.
All cheap to buy ans ship quick.
It's been later so thank me. hahahahaha

It's not very economical though, considering pretty much all of those cost the same or more than the Bey you can buy locally to replace that part...

Unfortunately, pretty much all the bottoms made use that type of plastic, so there isn't much you can do to make them more durable.

He doesn't launch on top of the other Beys directly does he?
Their r no such thing for metal fusion only unless you request one to be made from a cast if you have the right connections to modders. Other than that you can not have a metal performance tip for U.S. beyblades metal fusion.
Soft palstic works though it can wear easily. Ask a modder to cast one for you. Normal price is $10-$7. Metal performance tips are $15-$12. if the modders charge you more show them this. If they still charge you more then, HAPPY SUING!!!
The soft plastic doesn't break as easily
Also you can use a special coating of I think it is potery glaze. Take the peformance tip with tweesers dip it quikly through the potery glaze 20 times. You may need to break off the glaze and try again for it may mess up the performance of the bey if it is to thick or to thin. youwill need to periodicly break of the remaining glaze (if it starts to flake away) and re glaze it.
Break off the glaze in the inside of the performance tip before you apllie it to the spin track.

Burn Phoenix 135 Metal Sharp says hello. And Toywiz is overpriced as hell, and people have known about that for a long time. Tone down your ego a bit, and stop being a jerk. It wasn't even remotely funny. And everything you suggested is illegal. Shadekitty, just examine the tip from the inside of the box to check for cracks (you can tell, there would be slightly discolored lines running along the tip). Rubber tips also wear down, they don't break. Have you been buying breakage-prone tips like HF? Buy a Storm Pegasis, I guarantee that the rubber tip won't break, and you get a great attack-type bottom from it too!
Deppending on how big or smal the tip is dip it less than 20 if small more than 20 if large.
All glaze is diffrent so experiment and try out diffrent a mounts of glaze dips
I really hope tis helps any body with breaking problems
Ga is right burn Phoenix metal sharp is an exeption but, we also want the wide ball to be metal and the hole flat to be metal that is want we want regular parts only metal and not half metal
It's not illegal if your having a friendly battle not entering an officialy tournament and we are talking about helping a six year old boy Ga
Thats right toywiz's prices have gone up i havent used toywiz for a long time
And never forget Beyblades aren't just toys, they're a life style.
Yah, I found ToyWiz.com tonight and was shocked at the prices. I'm a very crafty mom, and I'm wondering if I could cast it myself. I have done work in sterling silver and such and making a wax cast wouldn't be too difficult for me to do, question is what metal to use. I can do pewter since it melts at a low temp, but I don't think it would be extremely durable under pressure like that - I'm not sure since I've not worked with it too much.

And BigBadBlader - you are right. It is for a 6 year old, so glazing to me I wouldn't care too much about for some of his BeyBlades. I do want to keep a few in case he gets interested in doing any real competition later on.. right now he just wants to have fun with them so spending 20.00 + shipping on a replacement precision tip is just not sounding like a good idea. I'd rather spend that money and order a BeyBlade from Japan or someplace for him.

I'm not sure I get why the heck they can overprice so much for a tiny little plastic part that they know will break over time.

I'm going to experiment and see what I can come up with but if anyone knows of some cheaper places to get parts, I'm all ears.
so,your looking for the bottoms S and HF-S(sharp for SGTO,Hole flat-sharp for aquario)?do i got it correct?
Quote:He doesn't launch on top of the other Beys directly does he?

Not that I know of, but then again - he is 6...

Rule in the house is that the have to stay in the arena. No tables, no floors, no cats... you get the idea. But the kids at school launch them anywhere they can - hard floors, asphalt blacktop outside, gym floor, walls, you name it I'm sure they've battled on it..

He usually is not allowed to take them to school, but on inclement weather days they are allowed to bring certain toys to school to play with indoors in the gym. I made the mistake of letting him bring them once or twice, so I'm sure that's where the breakage is going to happen...

That sounds about right to me... If you want to see which ones of his have broken tips, see my post here: http://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Whats-Yo...#pid622454

It's the two on the far right side of the case.
ok,im wrong about aquario.its rock aquario 125SF,the bottom your looking for is SF
Theres an aquario and a rock aquario.... uugh.. I have a lot to figure out.. LOL

I bought him Legend Cyber Pegasus tonight and some L Drago one for easter. Most of the places here in the area are sold out of them all - I assume for easter baskets.
well the SGTO part is a face bolt i was going to write a explanation on your intro thread but i fell asleep sorry Face bolts break when it is to tight spin tracks (the part undder metal) 2 try battling easier always launch into the stadium SGTO tip i have broken 2 by simply launching on the floor so keep untight the easiest way to get replacemeant parts is the worst way trading i will PM you about Metal fight /Metal fusion/Metal masters Beyblades stuff
some of the hasbro parts ware out very quickly, hasbro isn't what you should buy, you should buy takara tomy beys because they have beeter qaulity, and much better

Don't spread false information like that, that is highly untrue. They wear out relatively the same from either company.

Also, this thread is from 2011 ...

shadykitty hasn't been active in around almost three years. You really bumped this thread. Smile

Also yes, Takara Tomy is better all the way but, I got my random booster volume three full set and realized that one of the pieces (WD145) wasn't the best quality. It had a few plastic chips on it.
EDIT: Nevermind, beaten by PRO SEAGULL. Please delete my post.

That's false. Takara Tomy is not necessarily "better all the way", in any sense.

Pro Seagull just posted something similar in regards to BladeryBob's comment.

Sorry if this contributed to bumping.
I own a Rock Aquario just like you, the SF's are proneto breakage, at least 3 of my friends' SF's broke. I bought a whole new set of tips from a guy of Amazon, which replaced my broken SF and gave me accss to more tips, such as a few RSF's LRF's and many more. My best advice is for you to get some new beyblades to replace those parts, I bought a Theif Saramander F230SF to get a new one, only costed about $12. If you can find any beys that can replace your broken parts, buy those for your son. Also try to find out your part names so it is easier to know what to purchase. I hope that helped ma'am Smile

Takara-Tomy and Hasbro parts are near the same. There's no proof that Takara-Tomy parts are better. Hasbro does the same as Takara-Tomy most of the time.

Now, what I suggest is you guys report this and just don't post. Let the modd do her/his job.
