I Beybladed back in 2000 to 2005 and Became a major collector and to this day I still have all my stuff (Childhood memories, can't let'm goEee ) I, like many of my friends were Street bladers. We had one rule, blade until your top stops spinin. We never used stadiums unless somebody wanted to, we used piles of junk laying around town and school and make our own arena. Just recently I found my beyblade stuff and decided to have a look on the net to see if beyblade ever came back, then I found this website. Searchin through the forums, I keep hearing stuff like HMS and illegal beyblades! Somebody update me please? I wanna know tournament rules, beyblade customizing rules, any rules!
We have a whole set of rules here: http://worldbeyblade.org/thread-2361.html
Basically, use official beyblades that you haven't modified in any way that will affect their performance, use the official parts correctly, use official takara stadiums and play by the WBO approved scoring system.
OMG you guys have alot of rules lol! I guess i'll have to put together a new blade. I have another question, what if your beyblade base has worn down from years of play (looks like it's melted) can I take a metal pin from another beyblade and insert it into the bottom of it? ya know, so it don't melt down any farther.
No that would be ilegal
Moved to the right forum.

Also, you're probably going to want to replace all your beyblades that don't function normally. I'd recommend just buying the newest line of beyblades, which are the Metal Fight Beyblades.
lol man, you guys are party poopers lol! well I guess i'll have to carry two beyblades now, one for "Illegal"lol battles and the other one for people with rules/tournaments. Thanks
I don't know why you're acting as if these rules are any surprise. The WBO rules are mostly the official Takara-Tomy rules with slight modifications.

that's what i do
You could also just ... stop playing illegal battles and actually play Beyblade Gasp
Are you kidding! lol stop playing illegal battles lol yeah right! Illegal battles are so much better. Come on what's better than taking two or more people with Beyblades that were created from the wonderful human mind and pitting them against each other! I'm sorry but two simple spinning tops just don't do it for me, I need action, no disrepect to any of you... Yesterday I did make a legal beyblade so I'm good, but I will need help on where to buy HMS and MFB Beyblades so any suggestions?
If you honestly think Beyblade is just "two simple spinning tops", I don't know why you're here. There's plenty of action to be found in legal Beybattles. Illegal Blading generally turns into "hey who can grind the most carp off their Beyblade/stick the most carp to it". The beauty of most games comes from playing within their rules, within their restrictions. How fun would Chess be if you were allowed to make your own pieces? "This is my Homing Missile piece, it automatically moves to the King's spot when moved!"

Illegal Beyblade is boring because there's one strategy that will always destroy any other, which is a perfectly round Beyblade with a free-spinning tip and loads of weight. Attack types can't KO, Survival types can't outlast it.

Also, who do you think designed Beyblades if it wasn't the "wonderful human mind"? Lots of technical designers work on the Beyblade project and they work to make good parts without making parts so strong they imbalance the game entirely. Don't blame them because you don't understand the concept of game balancing.
Dude, If your gonna get all pissy just stop! I told you in my last reply I made a LEGAL beyblade. I do need help in buying HMS and MFB beyblades any website suggestions? Also, where do you have your tournaments?

Maybe you should've read the rules before posting here.

Quote:On the subject of discussing illegal modifications and other things that are prohibited by Beyblade's official rules, this type of discussion is not expressly prohibited. However, you are not allowed to give illegal suggestions or discuss illegal modifications and customizations as if they are legitimate Beyblades. This type of discussion is only allowed for hypothetical and novelty discussion only.

In this case, you're trying to legitimize illegal Beyblading. Unfortunately, if you're not playing by the rules of Beyblade, and the tops you're using aren't 100% Beyblades, how can you call it Beyblade in the first place? Maybe you should buy worldspintop.org?

As for your other questions, reading around the board will answer them; in fact, both of your questions have entire forums dedicated to the answers.

Also, in case you weren't aware, I'm the owner of this site. So maybe you should watch what you say. Smile
OMG your killin me with laughter! Listen I KNOW the rules of b-e-y-b-l-a-d-e oookkkk! I havn't played illegal beyblading since day one ya know! I have 1 illegal beyblade out of the 127 total beyblades that i've collected. When you have that much customizing options you will most likely make an illegal beyblade to!

"Also, in case you weren't aware, I'm the owner of this site. So maybe you should watch what you say."
lol...are you a communist...lmao.

I was simply saying that I like to beyblade illegally more than regular beyblading. Just as the Cartoons, they had beyblades with actual blades on them and more than one weight disk. Then you take what i'm saying as "YAY ILLEGAL, BOO RULES!" lol That is not what I am trying to tell you.

Is that so? Here's my collection:

Is over 400 more than 127? I think it might be ...

I don't think you know what communism is. I think you might be mixing it up with fascism. Again, maybe you should read the rules.

That's also a cartoon show, this is real life.

Also, since you don't seem to understand what you're talking about I'll explain it to you. When Takara launched Beyblade in 1999, modification was allowed. Unfortunately, this lead to homogenization of customization. Everyone used the exact same customizations and the winners were whoever had access to the most modification machinery, rather than legitimately strong Bladers. So, before the cartoon series began, modification was outlawed. To this day, that remains the standard. This is the World Beyblade Organization community, along with an unofficial community for Beyblade, and we don't acknowledge Beyblade outside of the rules as legitimate Beyblading.

Your question was answered, and I'm tired of compensating for your lack of understanding, so this thread will be closed now. If you have any questions, please use the Ask a Question thread at the top of the forum (like you should have in the first place).
