I searched and I couldn't find a topic for this, so I'm making my own.

I'm a big Sonic Adventure fan. Does anybody else here love this series as much as I do? These 2 games were amazing! They were on a system that was ahead of it's time, and they had plenty of DLC. Sadly, I never played the DC versions. But I have both of the GC versions and I have seen the video's of the DLC on Youtube. I'm currently trying to find ways to get some money to get a Dreamcast and these 2 games so I can play the original versions and try out the DLC. And don't say the DLC isn't online anymore, because some websites have it posted up like OC does.

So, what was your favorite of the 2? Favorite characters story? Favorite boss fight? Favorite level? Favorite DLC?

I think my favorite boss fight was in Super Sonic's story on SA1. I simply love how when you start the fight, it starts playing the game's theme song. (Open Your Heart by Crush 40) and you're in this epic fight with Ultimate Chaos. You have to admit, Ultimate Chaos is pretty beast. After all, how many final bosses have you seen that flood an entire city, shoot down the Egg Carrier, drain the power from all 7 Chaos Emeralds, and pretty much destroy Station Square? Exactly. XD I also loved how this game actually gave purpose to the Chaos Emeralds. It made them more than just items needed to become Super Sonic. It gave them a back story and said how they mutated a Chao (Later to be known as Chaos) so that it could become the Guardian of the Master Emerald. It also gave Knuckles more of a purpose making him the current Guardian of the Master Emerald. This was also the first time we saw Amy in her new outfit. Not to mention it was Sonic's 3D debut and inspired a complete Anime Series! (Sonic X)

So, who else loves these 2 games? Feel free to discuss both of the games here. XD
It's really awesome game. I got it on my laptop. But I haven't finsh it yet.
That boss battle with Ultimate Chaos was beastly. I remember how whenever I would battle Ultimate Chaos, I would have my ear practically glued to the speakers on my computer to listen to the awesome music. I actually used to get up and watch Sonic X every day. Man, how time flies.
How did you guys have it on PC? Chocked I didn't know they had a windows version...

Hah. Could be worse. I actually used to have Open Your Heart on my MP3 Player. Sometimes when I'm bored I fight Ultimate Chaos again. But not very often since I don't like having to skip through all those Cut Scenes that I've already seen before.

Anybody ever try Mission Mode for Directors Cut on the GC? It's like the DLC was for DC. Except it's different stuff. It's really weird though. I need to beat mission mode though so I can unlock some more Sonic GameGear games. That and I need to get the rest of the emblems so I can play as Metal Sonic. XD

There is this sonic collection on pc with 4 different sonic games.
I have it on Wii. Sonic Adventure is a fun game, but in general I think it's way too hard. I still play it though.
i love SA1 (best sonic game of all time, the music, the gameplay, and the story are all great, plus for its time the graphics were amazing), but i never beat it as sonic.

i never got to play SA2, but i hope to someday

i still have the CD (and i have two dreamcast), but the CD is a scratched so i can't play it and my save for it is deleted Unhappy , i think i will get it fixed soon

What?!?! Did you get stuck on the Egg Viper? I used to think that was a hard part when I was younger, but when I got older it became easier. Tongue_out

I currently have 70 Emblems. I need to get more So I can get more Sonic GameGear games unlocked. XD

i am not sure of the level (because i haven't played for like 7 years), but i think it may be the one before egg viper (it was the level were sonic goes into the Aztec looking temple)

Oh. You're in the ruins. You're in the last few levels. I like that level. But it's not as much fun as the Sky Deck level. Tongue_out But Wind Valley is probably my favorite in Sonic's story. Closely followed by Speed Highway.
i have the original dx version on gamecube that i have every thing even metal sonic.

DX isn't the original. It's a port with added features.

How did you get everything? Did you spend a lot of time on it? Or did you hack it?

Chocked_2 Wow, how similar. Sky Deck was really fun IMO, but I liked Speed Highway the best in Sonic's story.

I'm jealous. I might try to get all the Emblems and stuff. I'm just afraid that it won't be worth my time... Is it even fun to play as Metal Sonic? Can you play as him in any level? Or can you only play as Metal Sonic in Sonic's levels?

Both were amazing.
AMAZING
Adventure 2 was my favorite game on the Gamecube. Good times man...
adventure 2 was the best sonic in my opinion i have devoted hours of that game just playing the first hero story.
i also love live and learn its my fav song.
Sonic Adventure 2 is my favorite Sonic game of all time. I love very part I was able to play. I only played a few levels in the story mode(the first level was my favorite), but the multiplayer was innovative and a brand new experience. The racing was fun as always, but the Knuckles vs Rouge jewel thieving was the best. That game mode had me hooked, and I got pretty good at it. The level with the tower into space was my favorite level, followed by the Egyptian desert level. This was like crack to me(mainly because it was one of the few things I could beat my friend at), and I would love to see multiplayer like this in other Sonic games.

ITT: People display their inability to play a Genesis 2D Sonic game.

I loved those games too, and have great memories of playing them, but Sonic Adventure 2 was on another level IMO. Sonic Adventure gave a 3-D Sonic experience tha was amazingly fun, but Sonic Adventure 2 let me enjoy that world while playing with a friend.

If you loved the Scavenger Hunting, then you would love Knuckles and Rouge's levels in Story Mode. Tongue_out

Although the Sonic Adventure games are my favorites, I do love the Genesis Sonic games. I'm not some retard that thinks "All modern Sonic games suck (Except for Colors) There for, the Genesis ones must suck" No. I have all the Genesis Sonic games (Mega Collection. So really I have all except Sonic CD and Knuckles Chaotix) and I beat them all. Except for Sonic Spinball, I've made it to the last level but it gets tiring and I want action so I usually switch the game. And on Sonic's 3D Blast I usually make it to the last level and get stuck. Tongue_out But I beat all the others.

I don't know why, but for the past few months (Like 2) I have had this weird opinion that Sonic Adventure 1 is better than Sonic Adventure 2. This was probably because I was stuck on Adventure 2. So today, I sat down and played both of them. I now understand why I used to like the 2nd one a lot better. Joyful_3 I was stuck on the level in the Dark Story where you play as Rouge and your flying around the tower looking for 3 Choas Emeralds in 5 Minutes. Today, I got past there. Joyful_3 I'm at the part with Shadow where you have to chase the X Tornado. My problem, on my other Memory card, I beat the Hero story. On the Memory card I was using, I haven't even touched the Hero Story. I think I'll delete the file that I beat the Hero story on. I like to have back-up copies of my files. I'm just gonna redo the Hero Story on the Memory Card I was using today. I'm gonna have a lot of fun re-playing those levels! Joyful_3 This one is so much better than the first! XD
(Sonic voice) Last time on Sonic X... (jk)

Ok, so currently on my Sonic Adventure 2 file, I beat the Dark Story yesterday, and today I beat the Hero Story. (Again) Now, I unlocked the final chapter. But when I was playing it, I heard thunder so I turned it off. (I don't wanna play video games during a storm. Your pretty much connected to a wall. :\) But the thunder stopped a while ago so I might go play it again. Also, my Ocean Blue Chao is sleeping a lot. This means it's about to evolve. I'm kinda dying to see how it turns out. besides, one of my other Chao's should be close to evolving soon. When they are, I need to breed them. I need more Chao's and I don't wanna buy them. Also, I just purchased an Orange Chao.

I just found out that if you get all 180 Emblems in Sonic Adventure 2, you unlock a 3D version of Green Hill Zone. I might try and get all the Emblems now since I wannaplay that level. Now I gotta go look it up on YouTube since I'm dying to see what the level looks like. Tongue_out
