A charming little series that I've only recently discovered, because I'm always late to the party.
The premise is that this kid, Ciel, who owns a toy company (And is therefore super rich, of course) has a butler that's over-talented. But that's only because, in reality, Sebastian, the butler, is a demon.
It's pretty cool. In which other series can you hear the line "She's possesed by the evil spice." anyway?
Do you guys know about it? Do you like it?
You and me both. What won me over, btw, is the dub's use of European accents. English, Italian, etc. It's a nice touch.
I'm currently in episode 9 of the subs and slowly trying to finish it.

ya and a little complicated 2.......ter r lots of twists and turns in this anime but still i liked it...i hv finished seeing te entire first season till ep 12 i think........
I just finished season 1, and I've never laughed so hard at a "final boss" character!

Surprisingly, I found Grell to be one of the most enjoyable character XD

I do love listening to Grell in the Japanese version. The dub is kind of annoying. I don't know if the dub can perfect his, "OHHH YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!" very well.
But I love the dub's use of accents. Oh wait, I mentioned that already.
And yes, the angel. That funny funny angel.
Season 1 was just epik all the way through. But comparing the first season to the second, the first is better. In my opinion they should have just left it with season 1 though; the ending for that was good enough.

EDIT: oh i remember why i liked the first better now. Its because the second had some whiny weakling kid in there as an antagonist/rival to Ciel.
And if you like this anime as much as I do then watch season 2 but pretend it never existed... even the explanation for why there is a season 2 sucked in my opinion.
I already know about Season 2, and i agree that it shouldn't have ended like that...It should have been left on Season 1.

I actually hate subs. I don't watch an anime to read the anime (The only exceptions to that being Bleach and maybe Gintama)
Besides, it's one of the rare dubbing that actually has accents for the various countries people come from, you gotta appreciate that XD

In my opinion, you should watch the sub. It is like watching Code Geass dubbed, you don't really feel anything if they say "

Yes, your majesty" in English; the japanese accent just makes it all so worth it. Plus the voice acting is not that bad! Oh and not to mention

Also, we won't ruin it, that's what wikipedia is for lol. But your REALLY going to hate the
reason on why season 2 even existed; it was all so terrible.
But to contradict my statement, I haven't read the manga yet; so it is possible that they are basing it off that, and if so then I guess there really will be a season 3. Although I really doubt that the anime is based on the manga after season 1 (or based on the manga at all (it doesn't feel like it)).
i can say tat tis anime is gud....but it still wnt come near fairy tail...black butler is gud but it is sort of complicated(especially if u miss one episode..)...sry if i double posted.....

No, Ciel is alive, from stuff I've read on Wikipedia and jolly spoilers from a friend of mine.

yes animax shwd the entire first season of black butler.....nw it has been replaced by an anime named kekkaishi or sumthin....anyway i managed 2 see every episode witout missing anytin.....it ws the anime tat repalced fairy tail in animax....and animax also shwd an episode aftr sebastin takes ciels sole....it ws an episode wer eveyone participated in a play or drama or sumthin...lol it ws pretty funny.....

.....but still black butler ws an anime i enjoyed watching....if the second season ever comes ill be right ter 2 watch it.........you can never say tat tis is a bad anime....and i never meant 2 say tis anime is bad....its still on te top in my list......tats why i decided 2 post here in the first place.....

Late reply.. but they do indeed. As I have mentioned (in my opinion) that excuse sucks big time.
the london fire was really, really creepy and the queen's demise as well as when sebastian comes and snatches the bullets out of the air and says "your right master its not over yet"
This show is just plain amazing.
Im starting to love the ending song.
