It is with great disappointment that I address you all this way.

After investigation, I have concluded that the top ranked users on the WBS, which were kai_yigit, avaz and BeyBlade (previously 123456789) have all been artificially increasing their Bey Points by submitting losses from fake duplicate accounts.

From the start, there was concern among the WBO Committee that cheating would be a big problem for us, but I had hope. I offered no prizes or awards for ranking high on the WBS in the hopes that it would dissuade cheating. I hoped that nobody would be so disgusting that they would cheat on a volunteer ranking system run by fans of Beyblade as a free service to fans of Beyblade.

I was wrong. All three of these users are guilty. Thankfully, I haven't yet found evidence to suggest that there are other users cheating. But if these users have, it seems only inevitable that there will be more in the future.

I want to make it clear (as if it really needs to be made clear) that artificially inflating Bey Points with fake accounts is absolutely unacceptable and will lead to immediate, permanent bans -- which all of these users have been subject to. Furthermore, every time someone cheats on this system, it furthers the likelihood of us shutting down the system altogether.

So much time and work went into developing this system that it seems a waste to shut it down, but I want to make it clear that I am absolutely prepared to do that. A more likely option in the immediate short-term is that we will limit ranked battles to being witnessed by authorized WBO staff only. As of right now, it will be left open while we decide what to do.

I wanted to leave the system open to users so that everyone would be able to compete without having to wait months for a WBO event to come up -- or perhaps not even come up at all. We cannot organize events to suit everyone, but this was the best we could do. Unfortunately, if people are determined to abuse our hard work and good will, I will have no choice but to take it away from everyone.

Really!? The WBO and all it's greatness is the best thing that happened to the Beyblade community and people decide to abuse it? Outrageous!

Maybe you could make them more seperate and make it so you need to have a certain number of posts before you get a WBS account? Or you have to be officially okayed by a member of staff so we know people are legit? It probably wouldn't be perfect but better at least....

The problem with that system is it still gives us no real way to detect fake accounts. It's pretty much impossible to do, to be completely honest.

I say bring back the address thing and comission WBO planes. Then we could fly to these supposed addresses and shoot down anyone we found was cheating.

I would totally be up for flying lessons. I could go to the local air cadets centre.

my goss what a bunch of losers =.= they just show how much they need a life by going on a free site and cheating i could underdstand if they were getting something out of it... but when there is no prize!?a\i guess they were after site fame (in wich they failed at obtaining)
edit: you guys could do the phone call thing where u have tpo call the 2 bladers and make sure thats it is 2 people and not just a cheater .-. but then again theyd find a way around that

I had a feeling that those users were cheating. I brought it up to Anubis at the tournament a few weeks back. Its good that you banned them, cheating like this is unfair to everyone .

In all seriousness, they're cheating themselves aswell. I cant understand how people have to cheat to look impressive, like Brad said, there's no personal gain from the system, so why cheat?.

I dont know if bringing back the address information requirement would help (what's stopping people from creating fake addresses). But if it helps and is needed I have no complaints with signing on to it.

Hopefully this will deter anyone else from even thinking about wanting to cheat.

Yes but even if there was Personal Gain, It wdn't have been fair 2 other ppl who actually deserved it ya know.

This was inevitable, I think. It is just sickening that people would ever feel the need to artificially inflate their ranking by cheating. At this point, they wouldn't be gaining anything from being at the top, and even if, in the future we gave prizes to the highest ranked users, they would be inspected before doing so anyways.

It is just really stupid. We'll have to look into what we can do about this, if anything.

I think we should only limit beypoint gain so that they only can happen in sanctioned events. It sees like it is the best way to have oversight while still allowing the system to run as it is currently designed to run.

What about all the people that can't make it to events? I see your point, but I don't want to be left out =/.

and if only specified beybladers from the site that have been confirmed, while some have to wait to become well known and considered a good beyblader, then whats the point in even having the system?
the idiot cheaters are in the wrong for abusing the system to be known as "good",
but making everyone suffer isn't what you should be doing here

i dont think its fair to say that if you have the most bey points your the best cause some people havent had chance to battle but wow yeah why cheat 0_o

I think we should judge whether people are cheating from there posts. If you act like the best blader ever in your posts then your probably cheating or if you dont know when to quit
