These were figures that attached onto the blade via a special bit chip - i think this bit chip had metal on either side are these bit chips legal or not?
Heres a picture

Doubt it. Uncertain
yeah me too just wanted to get an official word
they could be usefull
I'm not sure about the official ruling, but I'm pretty sure that using one of these bit chips would be treated as using a 'Power Spirit Topper' in battle. As in, illegal.

I could be wrong, though. It's not specified in our rulebook.
I agree, they do look illegal. Andd are those magnets that I see inside of them Chocked lol
The piece that holds the figure on prevents it from being able to attach to the shooter, sadly!
argh they would have been useful Unhappy
cant you turn them upside down so that the part that sticks up gos down through the hole in regular SGs?
yeah good point
still illegal tho

IDK, I don't have HMC.
or use flame pegasus
Those remind me of the Hidden Spirits figures that attach to Salomolon, Griffolyn, etc. They were banned. Not that it matters, since those blades sucked.
I use these bit chips. They can only be used with Beyblades that have a heavy metal core. You just turn the thing upside own.

I figure they're official Hasbro bit chips, so... Gray zone I guess.

What rule says these are illegal? No power spirit parts, but these aren't from power spirit blades. I think it's just gray zone.
Have you weighed them before, Anubis?
Yeah, they're lighter than the Takara metal bit but they're still worth using.
oh wow il pick some up then
thanks anubis
I guess we'll have to make a ruling on these.
what will it be
*shrug* I think they should be legal. It's much harder to get a Takara metal bit chip and these chips have a limited usage anyway. Why make them illegal? It gives people access to metal bits without having to go through yahoo japan to get them.

I'm the only person I know who isn't Japanese that even has a metal bit chip.
yeah i didnt even no they existed theres loads of these on eBay
The fact that they can only fit if you invert them and if you're using an SG Core with an arbitrarily wide enough hole seems to indicate that they're not meant to be used.
fair point
