3rd Titan Tite
MF L Duo Cancer MB
L Drago CH120 RF?

Thanks for posting! Is there a reason why some of the parts are missing for @[Titan Tite]'s combos? Do you not have a complete list? And is L Drago literally L Drago, or do you mean Lightning L Drago, L Drago Guardian, etc.?

Mitsu Wrote:Dark Knight Girago (and Wyvang in some cases) LTAC was used a ton today, more specifically by BAWB. Personally, I don't know where I stand on Dark Knight and a ban, personally. It's pretty darn versatile (BAWB18's MSF-H Dark Knight Girago LRF was used to beat a Earth RSF combo of Wally.web's), especially when against Defense. If it doesn't KO defense at a lower height (not at a high one because of their precision), it can generally out-spin. At the same time, however, I only find Bahamdia and Girago have success at out-spinning. Gryph has a very rough time doing so from what I've tested. If we a ban a piece, I'd say we ban it as a whole.
First Limited tournament since the new ban list was updated, huh? A little disappointing to see so many winning combinations, but none that are pure attack :\

MF Lightning L-Drago CH120RB and Dark Knight Girago are both pure Attack, though.
Important to mention that BAWB18, who placed fourth pretty much exclusively used Dark Knight Girago 90RF throughout the whole tournament. He got shut down in the finals by low-track Earth combos, but otherwise was quite successful with it.

I was actually kind of happy to see that Attack wasn't so dominant; I was worried what would happen without Libra. That said, right-spin Attack was basically absent from this event however, and I think anybody who had used it could have been successful with the light Earth/Duo combos going around. There was a lot of hype behind Dark Knight Girago, so several people were using that over anything else.

I'll need more time to think about it, but my only thought right now is that maybe we go ahead and ban Jade so that pretty much everything in Limited with be in the same weight class. But I don't know yet ... we'll let this list simmer for a while and wait for at least a few more tournaments to be played under it.

Also, @[Mitsu], looks like you forgot to write 90RF (which is what I think it was) on @[JesseObre]'s Dark Knight Girago combo.

edit: I see Mitsu already mentioned BAWB18's use of Dark Knight Girago haha
@[Kei], did you have some success with that Jade combo then? I assume it's an attacker; which mode did you use/do better with?

With RB? I don't use my RB very often, since it came with my WBBA 2012 Wing Pegasis, but it doesn't seem extremely aggressive to me. And the bottom and track for Dark Knight Girago weren't listed earlier, so I couldn't be sure of that.

I went 1-1 with it in the finals; beat U wot m8's low-Track Scythe Stamina combo and somehow lost 3-2 to JesseObre's MF-F Duo Aquario SW145EWD (I was in position to win the tournament! Unhappy That heartbreaking loss put JesseObre, U wot m8, and I all at 2-1, which forced a tiebreak). Scythe was a bit easier to defeat because it has more recoil, and Duo almost self-KOed itself several times due to the EWD and hits from Jade that didn't knock it out.

I was using Stamina Mode because that was what I had heard was best for Attack haha. Admittedly, I didn't really test it in Defense Mode. It is more of an Attacker, yes. But given it's weight, it has decent Defense too. That said, if you're playing Dark Knight Girago 90RF, it will be outspun by it if it comes down to that.

I haven't used the RB that came with that Wing Pegasis so I don't know if there is any differences, but the one that comes with Jade Jupiter at least can be quite aggressive. Just look at the winning combinations list in the Public Tournament Data Archive for Limited and you'll see RB (or RSF) come up a lot for Toronto. We use it because it's a less risky version of RF; it sacrifices speed for controllability while still being fast enough to KO a lot of things.

One of the coolest things about this tournament was seeing what was basically the return of Earth. It had been completely overshadowed before because of Libra. Its basically non-existent recoil sets it apart from a lot of other Metal Wheels, so it was fun to see what that did to some Attackers. It really doesn't give them anything, primarily in the opposite spin match-up.

I have one from Jade Jupiter, I haven't used it much (don't want to wear it) but for me it's I've seen a mix of aggressive to more solid/stable movement patterns. Does the wear change it; how worn are the successful RB's?

RB really starts to shine (both offensively and defensively) after it's been worn in a bit. Once it starts to wear and flatten out a little, it gets a lot more grip, which makes it a real defensive powerhouse and allows it to move aggressively. RB is actually pretty bad for Defense when not worn in, and I would assume the same applies for Attack.

Ah, interesting. I'm not really in a position to do extensive testing these days, thanks to college dorm life, but I'll have to get Jade Jupiter sometime soon, so I can see this in action. I'm too protective of my limited editions to give the RB I have anymore wear haha

I see that
Thanks for posting those, Zera! It's always interesting to see the winning combinations in a new region and how far they can sometimes be from what the metagame is defined as in other places around the world. It'll be fun to see how it develops from here in future tournaments!

Hm, it seems like Kerbeus Heavy Accel is declining... Possibly due to wear. Deathscyther did very well in the tournament, more than I thought. KHA did nothing against DSS. Pure attack such as SHA could defeat DSS...
Nice. Cool results. Surprised DSS did so well. Not a lot of attack types used? I would be smashing that thing with Valkyrie. It does seem like it would be the perfect counter to KHA though if people were using that a lot
Dunno why but Valkyrie had trouble against DDS (in that valkyrie couldn't win). I couldn't knock it out with Valkyrie Central Accel but that may have been not knowing exactly how to launch it.
Maybe it was worn? That would definitely do it. I launch it like any other attack type (sliding shoot as fast it can and still have it grip and flower) probably like 70-80%
Of course the problem with tournaments is that no one knows what the opponent will use. That's why KHA gets used a lot since attack is somewhat more common. DSS counters KHA, so now its risky. But when you use an attack type, you don't know if the opponent will use KHA. All down to luck mainly now, since more good combos have come along.
Yup. Pretty good meta though, being that balanced that everything has a good counter. All about mind games, trying g to guess what your opponent will pick and trying to make them pick something because they think you are going to pick something based on what you are going to pick. Oops I've gone cross-eyed. Haha

Definitely wasn't worn. I'm used to BB-10 where there's no large ring around the top of the stadium to avoid.
