There was a lot of right spin HXt+' and similar, and Bizzo managed to send most of it reeling into pockets through the sheer speed of Evolution', good launching, and blader spirit. So generally Right Stamina stuff.

Aside from that, Stock Vanish outspun a Prominence Wave' combo as well as surviving some other stuff, and Vanish Br' put in work in a very close finals match vs Jack77 (who I should say has consistently beaten me every time we've faced off now, this time sweeping my guilty with his ultimate combo).

Single Bey is kinda weird sometimes.

Edit: it's worth noting we had a *lot* of meta stamina, especially DynaF HXt+', which did OK but faltered in the more aggressive meta we have here. It's always funny to me that a lot of meta stamina stuff gets used here and... Doesn't do that amazing always.

Toronto, ON, Canada - Burst Standard Format - Unranked (WBBA 5G Match Type Finals)

Following Anime North and the event prior to it, we thought it would make some sense to give the 5G format another go for the third time this year. Victory was achieved in 5 points, 2 points were awarded for Knock-Outs (1 point for no contact KO). 3 Draws in a row meant moving onto the next slot of your 5G Deck, with a 10 battle limit. This was actually an "error" we have been running without realizing. I think WBBA uses 1 draw. I think 2 Draws is what we should be using, as 1 is too little and 3 is too much for a 10 battle limit.

Overall, things went spectacularly in my opinion. Matches went smoothly and quickly in First Stage's 1-on-1, 5G actually didn't take long at all - though we should implement 2 Draw Limit anyway. Massive credit to and his father for not only providing the tournament prizes, but also for providing us more than enough prizes to giveaway to participants before Finals! I think almost everyone who didn't make it to Finals got a prize, so I hope that really added to the experience for everyone.

Sorry for no top placing picture, don't know whose phone was used for it. Great time. Really enjoy 5G with slightly revised points.

Some things I'd like to mention is one blader used just stock Archer Hercules and did decently, which confirmed how good archer can be. Perhaps with a better launcher they could of stood a better chance. Furthermore, seeing the pP.IG' combo in person was insane, it drew and beat Master on Xtend+ constantly but it was a uphill battle for me where pP definitely had an edge. Ignition' in general can feel a bit broken.

Another W for GEEWUN  Plastic Gen Fans. Wiki says Dragoon F is too light and recoil heavy, I wonder what makes it good for spin steal? (Besides spinning Left as Dragoon S, (assuming its not banned) Lost Longinus will also work?)

Here's the thing: It's not good for spin stealing at all. Lost Longinus is banned in Classic (it would chew through the whole format uncontested if it was legal), so Dragoon F is simply the only viable left spin layer in the game. Few things in Classic run high LAD drivers in right spin, there's simply no need when they're outspun by the alternatives, so Dragoon F, as inconsistent as it is, is able to steal away wins as long as it doesn't burst, doesn't slow down too quickly (it can't catch up if it falls too far behind), and has approximately "good enough" LAD to beat whatever same-spin opponent it winds up against.

Its not very consistent, but it can work.
