March 6. if it isn't delayed.
Trailer #2

Based on the story by Alan Moore, who also wrote V for Vendetta.

I read the GN this summer and pretty much read it cover to cover, it pulls you in after the 2/3 chapter.
I see there are a few other fans, so it due time to discuss but use spoiler tags + white text if its sensitive.
it's a masterpiece
Haven't read it yet but the film looks damn good. Will definitely watch the film, dunno if I'll bother with the graphic novel or not.....
sam, I saw you used him briefly for an avatar,
isn't Rorschach like one of coolest characters ever? not to mention his mask is f'sick/genius.

I think its worthwhile, for one its so good, and really no diferent in lenght then some 300 page novel. once the movie comes out, you'll see more people reading it, it will be hip LOL jump on the bandwagon now though and you'd get more out of the movie.
Yeah im loving the trailers at the moment, haven't read the Comics/Graphic Novel but man cannot wait for the movie loving the theme/setting to it, mid 80's in a depressed time where Superheroes aren't as grand as they should be. Might try and track down the Comics/Graphic Novel sometime soon im really interested in the Watchmen.

Rorschach looks awesome as for the others theyre a bit meh, Dr Manhattan is a bit o.O and Nite Owl looks like Batman in a way Eee
Im really stoked on this. I just finished reading the GN a couple days after christmas. Im pretty much amazed.

The updated costumes for the movie look fantastic.
Yes. Rorschach is a total badass.

I can't wait to see his real face in the movie.
I went on the bookdepository.co.uk (my favourite awesome website) but it was unavailable. I guess everyone's buying it......Unhappy
I gurantee it will disapoint many. The novel is one of the most highly acclaimed graphic novels of all time. When you're dealing with something like that, you don't get much wiggle room before getting bashed at. So, yeah. But it could be like The Dark Knight, not exactly a good adaptation of Batman himself, but a good movie on its' own right.
I think based on how the novel was that it would be insanely difficult to pull off a really well done movie adaptation. A lot of people are approaching this one with caution.

i had him as my avatar for months while i was away
I don't think the film version can live up to it. I would think it's nearly impossible. =/
Not only does this movie look awesome, My Chem recorded a really good cover of Desolation Row by Bobby Dylan for it ^^

I'm stoked
I dunno if it can really live up to the GN. Alan moore says he has nothing to do with it too
anyway movies usually can't live up to the book equvilent. but shouldn't really matter if it works as a movie.

im stoked too
End is Nigh yo

I plan too see it today.
I'm seeing it on Monday night, I'm exciteddd
I saw it last night.

It was confusing at points, but overall I enjoyed it.
Rorschach was utterly amazing. Really fantastic work on Jackie Earle Haley's behalf.

Had a ton of people in the theater laughing over Doctor Manhattan's blue penis. (But I guess that was inevitable.)
The Nite Owl/Silk Spectre sex scene was hilarious based on the music choice alone.

Overall, I enjoyed it. But a lot of people walked out disappointed, thinking it'd be nearly 3 hours of non-stop super heroes fighting super villains. Not expecting any substance.

(Fun note: Ozymandias had a folder on his computer labled "Boys", In the graphic novel, Rorschach had a feeling that Ozy was gay. cute little add on for the film, they also had him in the opening credits with what appear to be the village people.)

EDIT: http://io9.com/5166169/the-best-part-of-...online-now The opening credits are online. They were utterly fantastic. I really loved watching them.
I just finished reading the Graphic Novel. A+++++++++++

I'm even more stoked to see the movie now.
The movie is the bee's knees until Rorschach and Nite Owl make it to Adrian's palace place. After that it becomes totalllll shiiit. I'm not going to spoil it but Ozzy's actor along with a sense of cheesiness and changes to the plot make it unbearable
still reading the graphic novel its really good. I enjoy teh book a lot and the movie I wanna see. Rorschach and Niteowl are my fav characters.
Everyone I know who's seen this has said it's lammmeeee
well perhaps they have a different taste in movies.

One of the things Alan Moore was trying to do in the comic was show Comedian as both a bad guy and someone you wanted to root for, almost. I personally found that hard to grasp while reading the GN, however the movie with its combination of his actor and the music and whatnot really made the difference and gave me the more "real" experience of The Comedian.

I totally liked him based off of his character in the comic book. He was pretty much portrayed in the same exact way so I was in favor of his character in the movie.
