hey i started this so we can talk about our favorite singers and bands. I'm mostly starting this today because it is BILLIE JOE'S B-DAY

JUSTIN BIEBER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Justin Bieber is the greatest singer of the generation.

no, he's not a rapper.

1 in my opinion (sorta) Kid Rock mostly cause he is from the same state i am which is kinda kool but my favorite has to be ZP Theart his vocal rages r crazy and his voice to me is pretty unique and if anyone doesnt know he was in the band DRAGONFORCE now he is in a new band called Easy Voodoo (i still think he should be with dragonforce) check 'em out when u have the chance they are Power Metal.

OK people if you're going to post in here you REALLY need to elaborate on WHY the person in question is your favorite singer, otherwise you're going to get warned for spamming.

Anyhow, my favorite singer, at the moment anyway (it changes frequently), is Hayley Williams of Paramore. A few of my other favorites include Kyo of Dir en grey, Adam Lambert, Stevie Nicks (also of Fleetwood Mac), Anthony Green of Circa Survive, Matt Bellamy of Muse, Thom Yorke of Radiohead and Dustin Kensrue of Thrice. I love all of these singers because they have strong, unique voices and/or incredible vocal ranges.

Skillet, Linkin Park, TDG (Just a bit), Lil' Wayne, Green Day, and some more. I like these bands because they all sing Metal/Rock -ish music.

Right now my favorite has to be Katy Perry. She has a really good voice. And unlike Lady Gaga, she wears real clothes. Except when she wore that cotton candy bikini in Californian Gurls...

Benjamin Jackson Burnley
lead signer of my favorite band Breaking Benjamin. I just love the sound of his voice (>.> say one word,I'll find you) but I also like all the other members it's just his voice is the one herd the most,all I can really say is he has an excellent voice,and him( and the rest of the band I believe ) writes awesome songs,though his best were when he was drinking alcohol >.>

Can my favorite singer be off of a Anime? If so I like Hibird's singing off of Hitman Reborn because it always sings the school anthem. By the way Hibird is an animal.

Male Youth - Justin Bieber , Jesse McCartney [ some songs ] , Drake Bell

I Have always been a youth supporter , in most of the fields so that is why i believe these guys can achieve success especially Justin Beiber , he has an awesome voice , so people are just jealous that he will surpass micheal jackson someday

Other male - Akon , Enrique iglesias , james blunt , Justin Timberlake [ Kinda ]

I Really like the pop music that the later produce it just is so calm & good to hear & somehow Akons RAP Don't feel so much sad that is why i like them

Female - Lady Gaga , Shakira , Kelly Clarkson , Fergie , Avril Lavigne , Miley Cyrus , Kesha , Taylor Swift [ Few Songs ]

All pop artists as i like only feminine pop , I Hate the songs Rihana makes , it makes me bored , all the above pop artists have such soft & clear voices & most of the songs can be used while playing games so i feel all pumped up

These are some of the best bands i heard , Jo Bros are the future sensation of music , a little bit longer is my fav album made by them , LP , GD no words just all ears to them , when they sing i listen , Junkie XL , Gets me through most of all the NFS Games with excitement , i am not going to go in depth for all bands but i must say their pop , rock music keeps my energy up in life & whenever i am down or depressed these songs are the ones that take the tension off of me

My favorite singer is Jarod Leto lead vocalist in 30 seconds to mars. I'm far from being emo but they're songs are rad.

I might as well add a reason, completly slipped my mind when I was posting.

The reason i love Kid Cudi is the messages his songs portray. most "rappers" sing about women, money and cars, but he sings about his life. Both of his albums have been biographies of some kind, his first album was about his life as a child/his dreams, and his latest album was about his life after he got famous/his reality. Most of his songs actually have meaning, and some are even brutally honest. The majority of his songs also tell a "story" of some kind.

For example, "don't play this song", off his latest album. In this song, he manages to sing about having demented thoughts, being lonely and sad, how he dissapointed his mom because he sucked at school (his mom was a teacher), him being really close to commiting suicide at several points of his life, that he got addicted to cocaine after he got famous and it's slowly killing him inside, how he won't be happy untill the day he dies, and that he uses alcohol/drugs to hide these feelings ("Wanna know what I sound like when I'm not on drugs? Please, please don't play this song"). In just two verses, he manages to mention all of this, yet the song doesn't feel forced in any way. No other "rapper" would have the balls to make a song like this.

I also love him because of his diversity. Most people label him as a rapper, but 80-90% of songs aren't even rap. I don't really have a word for it. It's like he (and BoB) made their own genre. He's the only so called "rapper" I've ever seen that has the balls to collaborate with bands like mgmt, ratatat, vampire weekend and sample bands like pink floyd, the xx and band of horses.

Another reason why I like him is that he geniouenly love his fans. He was planning on retiring after his first album, then, after a concert, a kid came up to him, said "you saved my life" and left. Most other fanst wanted to take pics with him/get his autograph, but this one kid just wanted to tell him that he saved his life. This made him realize how much people apreciate him, so he decided to not retire. The only reason he's still making music is his fans (he doesn't care about money, he was happy when his album leaked onto the internet before it was released).

He's even started a rockband now, and is releasing two albums this summer; a rock album and a traditional "hip-hop" mixtape.

And no, his rock album isn't gonna sound forced like lil wayne's "rebirth" did. If you want to hear what he's capable of while working with rock bands, look up these songs on youtube:

pursuit of happiness (ft mgmt & ratatat)
alive (ft ratatat)
heaven at night (ft ratatat)
cudderisback (ft vampire weekend)
all summer (ft the guitarist of vampire weekend and the lead singer of best coast)

He's also going to make more songs with mgmt and ratatat in the future i can't wait. He's also expressed desire to collab with the killers, the temper trap and the xx in the future.

Katy Perry. I understand if you enjoy her music, because she does make catchy songs. However, if you say she is a good singer, I disagree big time,because when she performs live, most of the time she always has a bad pitch.

Katy Perry usually performs California Gurls the worst out of all her songs. It's pretty much but ugly on the whole "Ohohoh" part. Radio edits make her good.

Anyway, my favorite singer as of right now would be Justin Bieber.

Justin Bieber is not the best or even that great of a singer. Justin Bieber doesn't have cool hair. Justin Bieber does not have good song lyrics.

Then why is he my favorite? Because he pretty much proves us wrong on every level. And because of his journey, sort of. He was, poor, I think. He was probably gonna be in debt. Then he was........ People thought he was gonna become unpopular and no one will remember him. But he's been here for two years and has made a lot of famous songs.

People constantly say that he is a homosexual... then, he has reports of kissing and even being the boyfriend of Selena Gomez.

People say he has bad songs..... now, ever since Never Say Never has been released (both movie and song), people have been putting comments saying "STOP BEING A JUSTIN BIEBER HATER" or whatever.

anyways I am shocked at how many JB fans their are,his songs suck,the lyrics are awful,and finally he hasn't fully hit puberty so his voice is going to become worse,to me his another Aron Carter( I googles to know if he was alive) but hey all this is just my opion :V(well I am against all child stars and most pop artist...) anyways
