Shame, but understandable I suppose... Then again, putting adverts on the site directly involves the site with selling since it's turning it in to a digital billboard.
Something we need to talk more about and see if its workable. Lets see what Brad says about this. I havent seen him online for the last 24 hours.
Itd be a lot of work but itd be awesome if it did work. I know the idea has been thrown around before but its worth considering. People should be a little less busy now BeyDay is out of the way. Although Brad deserves a lot of money back, I like the idea of buying blades purely for competitions, seeing as were somewhat down on blades since Spinoff.
Wondering how itd work when Hasbro start releasing though....Oh and we should see how the TRU preorder works fast. Are there particular laws against us selling large amounts of Japanese products?
We were talking about this at BWR. It's beginning to look like a viable option. Azuma, I am quite busy now but we will talk about this.
I'm a bit late here but I have to agree with this. If it keeps us up and running then it is worth it and it would make those that can not buy them from websites like theintoy happy.

Well, we could let theintoy in on it by maybe letting them sell a few things in the WBO shop.
I really like this idea myself though.
At Spinoff especially, i'm sure once some of the kids had tried out the MFB it would have been possible to say "By the way, if you want one of your own you can buy one from us now."
With so many in the tournaments having to use the same blades, i'm sure a few would have purchased.
In terms of adverts, it's annoying to have to include them; but if it helps run the site and they're not too obtrusive i'm fine with it.
Haha the amount of people that wanted to buy stuff. And we couldn't sell to them....
I think just about everybody there wanted to buy stuff, even people who had their own blades & weren't using the random booster contents.
I do not know if I mentioned about this but, I think that it might be useful.
My mom's 2nd Hand Toy Store: I can find a way to create a banner and donate you every month ($15/a month).
They have a website in Turkish, but this might be a magical path for me to start translating it in English.
How does that sound?

I've been lately thinking of placing advertisements on the site. It wouldn't be anything incredibly obtrusive; maybe a banner ad for a Beyblade store at the top of the page and some Google ads underneath the first post on each page.
If it was up to me, I'd love for all of the things I want to do to be doable via my own money and donations, but it isn't. I hate the idea of having ads on this site but if that's what it takes to do what we need to do here, then that's what will be done.

could we make a page just for ads? because that way unless people wanted to they wouldn't have to see them, also you could put hundreds of ads without anoying people. or maybe we could make WBO merchandise and sell them. things like keychains, shirts, custom beyblade stickers, beyblade guides Example: "A begginers guide to MFB" and when your funds start to grow you could start tournaments and charge a small entry fee.

Ads are meant to generate revenue for companies. If their promotions are not even visible why would they put they even want to advertise on the site.
Basic business common sense.
I think it would be fine adding some ads. They increase revenue of the site and don't cause much trouble. All I care is that they aren't with sound (preferably) and they don't interfere much with simple viewing. Aside from that, banners are all fine and dandy.
