Well, I didn't know where else to post this so I'll post this here.

The Youtube channel has been stagnant for a while. Once I get MFB I plan to start contributing. I know I've been saying that for a while, but I really mean it this time! Anyway, since the site has relaunched I wanted to talk about the future of our videos.

The Youtube will simply be called "Beyblade Channel". I want to present it as a section of the WBO rather than the WBO itself. I haven't decided yet if we're going to start over with a new Youtube account or simply keep the username Beywiki, which seems a bit odd at this point, but we also have views and subscribers and comments I'm reluctant to let go of.

Youtube has changed its video style significantly. From now on, all videos are to be filmed in widescreen. I would prefer 720p but I doubt anyone here has the camera to drive that sort of thing. I really wish I did. Lips_sealed

I'll post the new logo concept soon. Anyone have anything to talk about?
I like the idea a lot. What kind of videos will you be doing?

Instructional videos and battle tests. No requests.
Sounds good. I'm assuming your going to do test on popular combo ideas?
Well it would be more like, "Now that we've shown you Libra uncustomized, let's check out its Customization options!"
Yeah thats a good idea.
Yeh this does sound like a great idea, will be looking forward to it.
Right now I'm looking into getting a 720p video camera to record HD video ... but, it looks like even on the low end will run me about $150. Not that that's a bad price, but it's hard for me to spend that right now. Hrm.
i can't wait to see how Quetzalcoatl 90WF fairs against other MFB's
You should also have people who run WBO tournaments send you the tournament videos. So that all the WBO videos will be in one place.
I can't wait to see the logo haha

So all videos must be filmed in widescreen? If so, I don't think I'll be able to contribute anymore as my digital camera isn't able to shoot in that format. Unhappy

yeah it's proving to be a lot more difficult than i would've thought to find cameras that take video in widescreen, which is pretty weird
man I say you shouldn't worry about it being widescreen... yet.
30 FPS imo is the most important.
All of Youtube is widescreen now. I think it's natural we follow suit.
If users from wbo want to contribute videos how will it be done. Only you have access to the account.

I never said that this account will be accessible to users, did I?

If a user has some great videos and needs access, I will give them access.
I think this would be a cool idea. Would it be possible to ad an aplication so that we can view the youtube videos here? My teacher does that with her webpage, shouldn't it be possible here?

I plan to implement this as well.

That'd be a good idea, especially for tourney videos. Also videos of launch techniques would be a good idea.
Pointless having all the same type of videos from just you Bey Brad.

Kei's the one who makes most of the videos, not me, but way to be an carp for no reason I guess.

If you want to show off your Beyblade videos, you can open your own Youtube account. As for us, we'll post the videos we feel like posting.
Its an organization for a reason imo.
I say have links to other people's channels so we can have a larger collection.

You're right, it is an organization. But we also have to do quality control or there will be a bunch of terrible videos, just like we had to start controlling the Wiki because people were putting up terrible and incorrect articles.
You should have links to other people's videos/channels, but only the ones you choose. Don't be a perfectionist.
Better than having only a small collection of ''Excellent videos'' by you or whoever.

This definitely isn't what you were saying, but we do plan to do this.
